I had a lip lift before an year and a half and i am not really satisfied with my scar.Half of it looks good but the other half is an indented and redish. In a most of my consultation with dermatologist i was told that there is nothing that could be done.I would be really thankful to know if there is some non surgical option to minimized the scar. Should i consider a revision surgery to fix the indented scar?
In 2006, I had permanent filler injected into my lips. But now I want a liplift. Only I am afraid that my lips will look like a rabbit or very puffed up. I also have a scar on the inside of my lip and I am afraid that it will be visible. Is my thought realistic? Or would it be very subtle? In the pictures I show with my hand what I am afraid of happening.
I am really worried about having a visible scar, especially as I have an upward turned nose. What is the best regimen for post scar care? Silicone gel or silicone strips? Moisturiser as well, vit E or Bio-Oil? How do I combine the two? Obviously I will wear SPF too - under or over the silicone gel??
I understand that lip lift scars can inevitably stretch and become a wider indentation at the 8 month mark or so. I know about the CO2 recommendation and the-like. Two questions: Would including microneedling make that even wider or would it blend/plump the indentation? Would keeping Octyl-2-cyanoacrylate adhesive on it whenever possible - especially at month 7 to 9 - help prevent that indentation/stretching?
Hi, in December I had facial feminization surgery and that included a lip lift. My scar has only gotten worse and more red the farther I get from surgery. in the beginning I wasnt the best at taking care of it. But have really been on top of it for the past few months. Its really stressing me out with how red and bad it is cause Im 21 and in college. Is this a hypertonic scar? Will laser help and make it be less noticeable? Is it possible to make it the scar everyone else gets? :(
Hello! I measured 16.5mm philtrum length, I want enough change to justify a scar and healing time, but I don't want too much removed where my mouth would look weird? Is 5mm a good middle of the road amount? I trust my doc but I would like a second opinion. I have surgery scheduled in January. (Yes I will dissolve all the lip filler soon, it's not attractive.)
My lip lift is not what I had hoped for. The scar is a very deep crevice in my lip which causes a crease when I smile. When I don't smile it is just a bulge on two sides of my nose which changes the shape of my nose and looks ugly. Further, there is an extremely mimimal change in philtrum length.
Some doctors have said I have to wait at least 6 months before undergoing any kind of surgery that leave scars since it can heal poorly. But another one of my plastic surgeons said I only have to wait for 3 months and that she hadnt heard about accutane affecting scarring. Help ! I want to have the lip lift as soon as possible and I just quit accutane.
