One of my favorite uses of Botox! We call it "orange peel " chin

Theda C. Kontis, MD answers: Botox for chin dimpling?

I have several deep dimples in my chin, and I've heard Botox could get rid of them. What do you think?

Know how the skin of an orange is dimpled? That is what doctors call "orange peel" skin. It responds wonderfully to Botox injections.

As I'm sure you know, Botox relaxes the muscle into which it is injected. There is a paired muscle in the chin, the mentalis muscle, that allows you to wrinkle your chin, and movement can cause the dimpled chin you have noticed.  A few units of Botox in the chin will stop the mentalis muscle from contracting and smooth out the chin. My patients LOVE the results.

Botox is great for this, but the effects will only last about 3 months.  Dysport is another botulinum toxin that may actually last longer than Botox and some offices probably offer Dysport at a cheaper price than Botox.  Good luck!
