Hair Transplants to Thicken Hair

Richard W. Fleming, MD answers: Can a person with no hair loss get Hair transplant?

If someone (a woman) naturally has thin hair without loss over time, and wants fuller and  thicker hair, would she be a good candidate for Hair transplant?

If you want to thicken the hair in a small area such as the hairline and front of the scalp, limited improvement can be achieved with transplants. I am assuming you have diffuse loss over the entire scalp. I always recommend women with thin or thinng hair get a good medical evaluation to determine if there is any hormonal imbalance.
