Chin dimpels and botox

Stephen Mandy, MD answers: Botox for chin dimpling?

I have several deep dimples in my chin, and I've heard Botox could get rid of them. What do you think?

 Botulinum A (Botox and Dysport) relax the Mentalis muscle which when constracted, will dimple the chin.  Dimpling is often more frequent in patients who have acne scars on their chin.  If scars are a component, Botox/Dysport  can be supplemented with silicone injection into the scars for a longer lasting result.
