Botox to the chin for dimpling

Otto Joseph Placik, MD answers: Botox for chin dimpling?

I have several deep dimples in my chin, and I've heard Botox could get rid of them. What do you think?

Yes, we sometimes call this "prune chin". It is quite common following removal of chin implants that have been placed through the mouth.

The first thing to evaluate is why you are dimpling. Sometimes this is simply a way of expressing yourself and is a learned habit. Othertimes it can be due to lip strain when your lips subconsciously strain to cover prominent teeth. In this case, fixing your dentition is a better longterm option.

Botox to the chin can effect the lower lip and cause drooling. Go to a skilled injector.
