What a great afternoon I had at the Medispa, Dawn and her staff are top notch, they are all very knowledgeable and personable. The office is warm and inviting. As we age we look for a quick fix and change products on whats new and happening but really get no results. The staff at Leonard Medispa were able to help guide me in the right direction on what is right for me. Thank you Dawn for a...
Very informative and it was my first time getting this type of treatment (hydra facial) and she explained it in a way I would understand and also helped me with products but didn’t make me feel pressured. Dawn was also very willing to answer my questions and didn’t make me feel rushed and she related to me with my daughters. She also shared her surgery experience’s she has had with Dr.leona...
Beautiful location with friendly and knowledgeable staff. Their recommendations and treatments have totally transformed my skin. I such beautiful, healthy skin now. After years of disappointing results with dermatologists I am so thankful to have found Leonard Medi Spa.
From the moment I walked into the office the experience is warm and friendly. Holly was my provider. She was a trained RN and obviously very knowledgeable about injecting with Botox. I receive medical Botox for migraine at OHSU but they were not getting it low enough to affect my brow area.
I love coming to Dr Leanards because I know everyone there is qualified and experienced. I got a small amount of filler in the tear troughs and the rest in my lips. Misty was great because she made me feel fully informed and comfortable. I will be coming back.
A: Dear Lucia_maria:
Regarding your face lifting, during the surgery there will most likely be a breathing tube in use, but in the post-operative period there should be no problem with wearing your Invisalign device. You can always consult with your surgeon, but I would plan on resuming use the day after surgery and stay on schedule.
Sincerely,
Dann Leonard, MD
A: Dear grejon10:
With close exam of your photographs, I do see the problem you are talking about. The lower eyelid is definitely in a lower position on both the left eye, but even more so on the right eye, as evidenced by significant scleral show (white part of your eye) on the right. You are quite young to have this occur, but it can. The problem you have is not only cosmetic in nature, but often times with the lower position, your tears move in the wrong direction and produce dry eye symptoms. I believe that a lateral canthopexy could elevate and tighten your lower lids, which would achieve your cosmetic goals and may also help the eyes moisturize better. This is a fairly straight forward procedure, and I would encourage you to seek out a board-certified plastic surgeon that does eye work.
Sincerely,
Dann Leonard, MD
A: Thank you for your question. If all you are having is abdominoplasty with no liposuction, then the tubular bandage should be adequate. Your surgeon will most likely use suction drains, which are the major force that promotes adherence of the deep tissues over the first several weeks. In my practice, even though patients don't require compression garments after abdominoplasty only, I still use them because patients tell me that it gives them support and helps them progress back into their daly activities. In my view, there is some value in a snug post-surgical garment.
A: Thank you for your question. A revision surgery such as you describe would be a capsulotomy in the lower breast area. This could also require some capsule excision. Either way, the surgery will be markedly easier and with less recovery than your first surgery. You would likely be back to a regular job at around 1 week post op, and I would keep you from performing athletic or aerobic activities for 3 weeks after surgery. Following that, you could resume any activities you would like.
A: Thank you for your question. Your situation is not uncommon. I have heard many stories of women having some dropping to the breasts after child bearing and breast feeding, and the solution to the problem being placement of a large implant to fill out the breast and lift the nipple complex. In the end, this works but many patients are left feeling that they are too large. If you are removing your implants permanently, I would always recommend removing the capsule. You can have an en bloc implant removal where the capsule is removed with the implant still inside. If you have your implants removed, you don't have to accept the excess tissue in the breast and can always have a mastopexy which would lift the nipple and maximize your existing tissues to create the best breast shape.
