Q: Can I Get a Mid Face Lift to Solve Sad Mouth?
Answered by Dr. Young, MDOctober 16, 2013

A: a midfacelift in my opinion has not really shown good results for people. Midface aging is due to a large part on a volume loss. For your sad mouth you can consider lip lifts and volume around your mouth.

Q: Considering Facelift After Failed Ultherapy?
Answered by Dr. Young, MDOctober 16, 2013

A: A facelift has been a great procedure for many years. It depends on how you look. You could need some filling in just the right places and some non traditional approaches.

Q: Deep Plane Facelift Question. Why Do Some Doctors Do a Deep Plane Face-Lift vs A SMAS?
Answered by Dr. Young, MDAugust 20, 2013

A: A deep plane lift is a type of smas lift. The smas is just the layer of muscle that all of your facial muscles reside. You pull on the smas to lift the face. The deep plane just described going deep to the SMAS to release structures so the SMAS is able to move better. Based on doing more than 1300 face lifts, I don't think the deep plane is any better.

Q: Feel Run Down After Surgery..
Answered by Dr. Young, MDAugust 20, 2013

A: This is normal. You will have 20% healing at 2 weeks, 60% at 6 weeks, 90% at 6 months. Make sure to drink a lot of fluids. This could be one reason you are tired. Make sure that you are getting enough nourishment. I would check your vitals and also consider visiting your primary care doctor to see if they could help too.
