May 2013, had ultherapy from different PS that performed my other surgical procedures.10 years ago had breast aug.along with upper/ lower Bleph's . Problems post op: breast- capsular cont.- went back in to remove scar tissue. Bleph's turned out ok until 2-3 years later had lower eyelid droop, went back for canthroplasty. Question to you, :I am considering facelift now since ultherapy didn't work.
Answer: Considering Facelift After Failed Ultherapy? If your only concern was that Ultherapy was not effective, then I would recommend further discussion with your Plastic Surgeon. However, given your concerns with multiple procedures performed previously you would probably benefit from a second (or third) opinion if only for reassurance. In my experience, people who will benefit from a facelift do not get similar improvement with Ulthera. It does provide improvement but not to the degree that people are seeking and at a high price point to boot. I hope this information is helpful.Stephen Weber MD, FACSLone Tree Facial Plastic Surgeon

CONTACT NOW Answer: Considering Facelift After Failed Ultherapy? The Ultherapy will not give you the degree of lift that you will see with a face lift. If it didn't meet your needs, by all means have a consultation for a face lift, and if you have any loss of volume, I suggest having fat grafts performed at the same time. Sagging is the result of both loss of elasticity and volume. The face lift does lift the skin and underlying tissues (according to how it is done) and does a good job, but it doesn't add volume. The volume component can actually be the main reason for the appearance of aging in some people. These procedures must be individualized according to the patient's needs. Regarding fat grafting, I suggest finding a PS who performs them routinely as they are very tedious. Good luck and thank you for the interesting question.

Answer: Ultherapy cannot replace a facelift. There is no good way to tighten the skin. Attempts using various topical treatments invariably lead to failure. It is not surprising that you now need a facelift. If excess skin is part of the problem that only a facelift will work.

Answer: Facelift question A facelift that is planned well and executed precisely generally provides very gratifying results. The fact that you had problems in the past does not mean you will in the future especially with good technique and experienced hands.
