Did you have alot of laser "bruising" or purpura right after the treatment? Did you have any blistering? It looks like your skin type is a bit on the darker side which makes post inflammatory hyperpigmentation (PIH) more likely, especially with aggressive settings. PIH will always resolve over time. However, it may take up to 6 months (and for some patients up to a year) to fade completely. Applying prescription strength hydroquinone , retin A, and daily sunscreen will help. You may also consider doing a series of skin lightening chemical peels, such as kojic acid peels, to accelerate the resolution. Don't worry...it will go away!

The V-beam laser is great for redness, capillaries, and rosacea. As for true acne scars that are pitted or depressed, I wouldn't expect amazing improvement using this device. Generally, I recommend two treatments, one month apart. For a full face, our office typically charges $500/tx. If you have rosacea, it is important to avoid your rosacea triggers (such as red wine, spicy foods, caffeine, hot liquids, sunlight, etc) to slow down recurrence of the blood vessels. Eventually, however, redness does recur. My rosacea patients typically get laser touch ups every 1-2 years. Best of luck!

I am a little unclear about this question. Have you had the treatment done already? Or are you asking if the scars will worsen again after the treatment. The collagen remodeling that you get with fractionated CO2 resurfacing is permanent. However, as you age and as your face loses volume, the scars might appear to be slightly worse again because they are not as "plumped up". I hope that answers your question.

Did you have fractional CO2 or traditional ablative CO2 laser treatment? Did you have any post-op complications? At this point, it is too early to tell what the resolution of the scar will be. I would give it a full three months post-op and then re-evaluate. Yes, there will be new collagen production and remodeling that occurs. CO2 laser (even fractional type) can definitely cause scarring if done too aggressively, but I honestly would give it more time. Best of luck!

That is way more discoloration than I personally would like to see 2 months after CO2 laser. Was this a fractional CO2 or fully ablative? It looks like you may still have residual inflammation, redness, and hyperpigmentation. I would treat it with topical steroids, hydroquinone, and definitely laser/light therapy-either V-beam laser if it's primarily redness- or IPL if there is alot of brown mixed in. I often will treat the residual redness from CO2 laser a month after the initial treatment was done to help redness resolve more quickly. Good luck!

Great doctor and clinic staff! Dr. Chiu knows her stuff! Botox and Juvederm were painless and look so good and natural. Highly recommend! I had Botox for crow's feet and a frown line. I suffered from dark and deep circles under my eyes for years. I always noticed them more in my pictures. No matter what kind of make up or how much I used, I couldn't really cover them. I saw Dr. Chiu and she explained to me how easy it is to fix them. She was very knowledgeable and knew exactly what I needed. In a 30-minutes appointment, she injected one syringe of Juvederm to the top of my cheeks and then one syringe of Belotero to my tear troughs using a special syringe called Cannula. Using a Cannula allowed her to inject the Belotero into all areas of my tear troughs. I was so impressed and surprised how easy, fast, and painless the whole procedure was (I didn't feel any pain because of the numbing cream). I also didn't experience any bruising or downtime after the procedure. Thanks to Dr. Chiu, and her wonderful staff, I said goodbye to this big concern of mine.
