Age 54 refresh - facelift, lip lift, under eye & temple lift

54 workout take care of skin and body. But need a little help. Didn’t like my jaws, philtrum, temple and under eye. So instead of wasting money on fillers for another yr I had it all fixed at once. Went without fillers for almost 2 yrs prior. But they do run around the same but per yr.

Just one day out and I have to pinch myself - so far looking amazing

I just had a lower face & neck lift with Dr. Choe yesterday. So, my review may be premature, but I will take you along for the ride and at this point, I just feel like I have to pinch myself with the results and also how I feel. I feel like a million bucks...and no, that's not the Percocet talking because on just one day out, I am on Tylenol Extra Strength and that's it! I did use Percocet the day and night of surgery (yesterday) and it helped me sleep like a baby. If I felt anything it was a little pressure and soreness near my ears, maybe it was the drains because he removed them this morning and I am feeling just fine. I was swollen today after sleeping in the compression wrap, but that was also removed firs thing this morning. I am literally less than 24 hours out of surgery and I feel amazing. The reason I need to share this, is although everyone is different and Doctors have their own techniques, I feel exactly how Dr. Choe and his nurse (who by the way had the same procedure so she so calmed my nerves because she looked amazing and she gave me first hand advice) told me I would. I thought this cannot go as easily as they are making it seem and yet here I am, feeling and so far looking pretty amazing. I included some pics...First is before, Second is directly after and third is 1st day post. Updated on 4 Mar 2024: So, my surgery was over two years ago and I still say it was worth it! It is a long healing process. I just read my initial review and realize I was definitely premature about how quickly I was healing but that's just because the first week everything seemed to be proceeding quickly. The truth of the matter is numbness, tightness and itching around the incision areas can continue randomly into the second year. For me it is worth it to not cringe at every side profile pic or video of me. I do stage acting and I was so very painfully conscious of my side profile, now I don't ever think about it! Obviously we cannot halt the hands of time and after two years I see skin loosening and some creping in my skin, but this procedure definitely pushed the clock back and increased my confidence. Some probably wonder about the scarring...I have scars in front of my ears and behind my ears in my hairline. I probably could have been better with topical solutions for this but I also wear makeup every day and it is easy enough to cover them. I am not ashamed to have had this surgery, so I don't feel like I need to hide it like a big secret...I did it for me and I am happy I did.

It is a great feeling to match your inside age to your outside projection

Dr. Choe is a top-notch facial plastic surgeon. I liked the fact that his specialty is facial plastic surgery. You don’t want to be anybody’s semi-annual job for anything. I did a lot of research before getting a consultation with him. From the beginning, I was very confident that Dr. Choe was the doctor I could entrust my face to. After Dr. Choe’s recommendations, I decided to have my eyelids done with a temple tuck, and my lower face and neck lift done. I also had derma abrasion done around my mouth. I was impressed with the whole process. Dr. Choe had a meticulous follow up. I was encouraged to ask questions and to reach out to him whenever I felt the need. Dr. Choe was very professional and at the same time very caring. His staff was no less. I was lucky to be cared for by all of them. The recovery process was not painful just uncomfortable for about a week; however, it was totally worth it. I would do it again without any hesitation. Dr. Choe is a gifted surgeon/artist and he totally exceeded my high expectations. The results are truly amazing! I still look like me but younger me. It is a great feeling to match your inside age to your outside projection. Thank you, Dr. Choe, I am thrilled. I highly recommend Dr. Choe and his practice.

Glad I did it!

I'm 41 and have always looked young for my age thanks to genetics. But when I got to my late 30s I started noticing a heaviness in my lower face, like pre-jowls. My jaw started looking lower and fuller. The skin under my chin wasn't as firm, I was ever so slightly losing my sharp jawline. My face shape was changing to look more rectangular instead of the oval/heart shape it used to be. I was starting to look my age, nooooo!!!! I read some scary reviews on Ultherapy so I put it off for a couple years. Eventually I started considering a lower face-lift or neck-lift, but felt I wasn't quite ready for that and the doctors and surgeons I consulted agreed. I decided to take the plunge and got Ultherapy done on my lower face and under my chin 92 days ago. The procedure wasn't as painful as it would have been because the doctor (a facial plastic surgeon) used lidocaine injections which numbed my face up really well. The injections were the most painful part, but they were tolerable. The Ultherapy itself was still painful, especially in certain places. I can't imagine having it done without the lidocaine injections, I think it would have been unbearable, and I have a pretty high tolerance for pain. My face was sore for about 4-5 weeks afterwards. It felt like sore muscles along my jawline. The swelling went away a week after the procedure. My husband and I started noticing a difference in my face at about 45 days, yet we couldn't put our finger on what exactly was different. My husband said my face looked "rounder" and something was different around my chin. I couldn't see a difference in photos or videos, just when looking in the mirror. I thought I may have been imagining it. At 60 days there was a slight difference you could see in photos and videos, my lower face was looking slightly slimmer. Now at 92 days I am happy to say that the shape of my face resembles how it was about 4 to 5 years ago. I look in the mirror and see a slightly younger version of myself. It is definitely evident in photos and videos (I took a lot of "before" ones so I could compare), and my husband says my face looks "tighter." Some days I wake up and can tell a difference even from the day before. The doctor says my skin will continue to firm up for another 3 months and I'm looking forward to seeing further progress! Updated on 6 Dec 2021: Today marks 6 months since I got Ultherapy on my lower face and under my chin, and I am very pleased to report that my face did continue to lift and tighten after the 3 month mark. I thought I looked younger at 3 months, but looking at all my before and after photos and videos, it is apparent that the real results from this procedure have come at around 6 months for me. I've read that it can continue to improve even up to a year so we'll see... It is important to note that, yes, there is a noticeable change from before I had Ultherapy to now 6 months after, BUT the change is subtle. There is a light lifting that is reminiscent of my face in my mid-30s as opposed to my current age of 41. My lower face isn't as heavy, the volume of my face has shifted slightly upwards. The shape of my face is more youthful and this is without getting any filler. The ever-so-slight beginnings of jowls I was seeing before the procedure are pretty much gone now. Also, with my lower face looking less heavy, my lips appear fuller which is an unexpected bonus. The skin/fat under my chin has firmed up as well, but that is the area where I feel like I have experienced the least improvement. The lose little bit of skin where my under-chin area meets my neck is still there. I have no regrets about this procedure and I am glad I did it even though some of the reviews I read made me very skeptical. I think really doing your research and picking a practitioner who knows what they're doing is key to having a positive experience with Ultherapy, as it seems this machine can be dangerous in the hands of someone less experienced. I'm glad I trusted my face to Dr. Choe, a board certified facial plastic surgeon who has been performing Ultherapy on patients for many years. I also think it's really important to manage your expectations with this procedure. Ultherapy will not give you a mini-facelift if you're already a candidate for that. I've always looked unusually young for my age and every doctor/surgeon I consulted with told me I wasn't ready for a mini-lift. Otherwise, I would've skipped Ultherapy and gone straight for surgery because Ultherapy is expensive and you have to make sure the money is going to be well spent for you. If you're a candidate for a mini-lift, save up your money and go for the surgery because Ultherapy results most likely won't be as dramatic as you want.

Years of Being Self Conscious Finally Gone

I've always been self conscious about my recessed chin. I chose Dr. Choe because I loved the before and after results on his previous patients online. Dr. Choe was great in explaining the different options I can choose and I opted for the filler. The one syringe of Voluma was enough to get the look that I wanted and I couldn't be happier with the results! He also gave me a discount for being in the healthcare profession; it was such a nice gesture!

Happy with Results

Dr Choe was open and informative about the procedure I chose. He was easy to talk to and answered all questions. He is quite prompt in keeping appointments - something I particularly appreciate as another professional. I am very happy with the results. I look quite natural - no pulling or doll-like face. Recuperation has taken several weeks so plan accordingly. I would recommend him without reservation.

Happy profile

Happy happy

I didn’t realize I didn’t like my profile until I was an adult. After realizing it I wanted to change it. I knew my chin was small and needed more projection. Being in the medical field and working with many doctors I knew I wanted to find the perfect one for me. I had a consult with an oral maxillofacial surgeon, one plastic surgeon out of state and two local plastic surgeons. I felt the most comfortable with Dr. Choe. He is knowledgeable, professional, honest, caring, and has natural looking results. That is what I wanted. I was scared to pull the trigger on a chin implant right away so Dr. Choe gave me fillers for projection. I loved the fillers, he did a great job. I went back a year and a half later for fillers again. Again I loved them! I knew it would be expensive to keep this up forever and Dr. Choe reminded me again that I would be a good candidate and very happy with a chin implant. When my second round of fillers wore off I decided it was time for the implant. His staff is wonderful they set me up with an appointment, preop instructions, and were very helpful. The surgery was done in less than hour and I didn’t feel a thing. When I woke up I was in pain but Dr. Choe made sure I had what I needed for pain and nausea. I was given his phone number in case I needed anything and he even called to check on me to make sure I was doing okay after the surgery. I am now a few months out and very happy with my natural looking chin. He did a great job and my only regret is that I didn’t do it sooner. I love it even more than the fillers and I love that it is there forever. I would def recommend Dr. Choe to anyone looking for a beautiful natural looking outcome.
