Just a quick summary that I had previously had liposuction on my abs several years ago, with different surgeons, all under local anesthesia. The results had been just okay, and because of that, I was also under the impression I needed a tummy tuck based on previous consultations as to why I still had a somewhat fatty, flabby stomach. So that is what I originally had made an appointment with Dr Hess to discuss, and he basically said I didn't need a tummy tuck, thankfully, just more aggressive lipo, this time under general anesthesia. He mentioned how amazing I would look, which sounded great, so I moved forward with it. The morning after the procedure, I immediately saw results, even with all the swelling. I will say the days following the procedure are definitely difficult. Dr Hess described it as recovering from being hit with a bat, I'd say that is accurate, otherwise just extremely extremely sore in the stomach and back area, and it was very hard to move around for the first few days. However, I stuck to the post care and in about 3-4 few weeks I felt well enough to start working out again, and even went on vacation, and things continued to improve from there. Once I no longer had to wear the post op ab garment, that's when I truly noticed how much better I look, especially in tighter fitting clothes. My stomach no longer bulges over skirts/pants and I also have a much more defined waist, so of course I have been wearing more body con/fitted clothing to show this off! I am truly amazed by the results, and just wanted to thank Dr. Hess.

Dr.Hess is an Amazing Surgeon! A Miracle Worker! Very Talented! He blessed me back with my body, gave me an hour glass figure . My body even looks better than before. After, so much working out and 2 pregnancies my muscle and excess skin could not be tightened at all even with my extreme workouts, so I got a tummy tuck with muscle repair and agressive liposuction and I'm currently 3 weeks out and feel and look my best. Definitely worth it ! Would recommend him to everyone who is looking for a mommy makeover and needs their confidence back! One day post op and I have never been in this kind of pain in my life. Childbirth is a breeze. The incision is what it is but the muscle repair is what kills. Sitting, standing, clearing my throat, moving my arms - everything involves your abs. Hoping for more progress this week cause I’m feeling pretty helpless having to wake up my husband to help me get up and lay down from peeing. Updated on 9 Jul 2021: Drains are still in, unfortunately, and I am on antibiotics for what I think is an infection in my belly button. I don't know if others I have seen on here did not have their abdominal muscles tied together or didn't have lipo but I am still so bruised and in so much pain - still on painkillers (and I'm no weeny). I see others who are in real clothes on week 2... notttt me. I'm still in my big joggers and big t-shirt. I had to remove the binder around my abdomen because my surgeon said it was too tight on me because I AM STILL SO SWOLLEN. My arms/hands/feets, everything is still swollen. I am a little frustrated with the length of time it is taking for things to improve but remaining hopeful. I am very bumpy and hard still, and a particularly hard bulge above my belly button that kind of looks like an ab muscle is swollen. I will upload some photos later and update again after I get the drains removed next week.

I am not even sure where I should begin with this review because Dr. Hess and his excellent staff impressed me so much. I had been researching plastic surgeons for my breast reduction for several years when I found his website. My sister and best friend, both also physicians, independently found his website after doing their own research. We all agreed that I should schedule an appointment with Dr. Hess.On meeting him, I was blown away by the level of comfort and communication I received. Dr. Hess made me feel so comfortable and was extremely sensitive to my specific situation. He took twice as many measurements as any other doctor till that point and assessed my body almost like an artist would. He offered insight that until that point, no other doctor had offered. We talked for a very long time –and he made me feel so comfortable. I didn’t get the feeling that he was in a rush to get to the next patient.  While I had already made my decision that he would be my doctor but before I conveyed this to his office, I received a package from Dr. Hess with a long letter memorializing our entire discussion. I have no idea how he was able to remember everything I shared during our lengthy meeting. Before I even hired him, he had outlined (in a booklet) the approach he would be taking with my case should I choose to move forward. I felt so heard and so understood. The level of communication and care offered by Katie and Shelley, his assistants also blew me away. I received timely updates about what I needed to do. This is not a money making venture—each and every case is treated with respect and dignity.  At my pre-op, I was not expecting to see Dr. Hess as friends who had gone through this procedure advised that the pre-op visit doesn’t involve the doctor. Once again, I was pleasantly surprised. Dr. Hess met with me again and Shelley thoughtfully navigated me through the pre-op. The level of engagement, care and concern this doctor demonstrated far surpassed ordinary—it was extraordinary.  Dr. Hess arrived to my surgery very early and put me at great ease before the procedure began. Finally---the surgery. While I had no expectations that my breasts would be this wonderful—I just wanted some comfort in my life—I was blown away by the results. Dr. Hess really is an artist and knows what he is doing. I am healing beautifully and my breasts are perfect. I have showed them to my sister and best friend (both doctors) and both repeatedly remarked what an amazing job Dr. Hess did. In fact, my sister said she had taken part in these procedures as a resident and she’d never seen them done this perfectly. He is a superb surgeon and knows what he is doing. I was hoping for better breasts and quality of life—he far, far exceeded my hopes. He delivered results so amazing, they could be considered unrealistic and I am so happy. Thank you, Dr. Hess, Shelley and Katie, for your hands on approach, your availability and kindness towards me. Thank you for Dr. Hess for making me feel like I was more than just a patient and making me feel heard. And most importantly thank you for the superb work.

I would recommend Dr Hess for everyone! He’s amazing at what he does, has the best office staff, has the best sense of humor and sarcasm... and is stellar in the OR. From my consult to my post op appts, every question or concern was answered - I actually didn’t need to ask any of the questions I had written out on 2 pages of paper during my consult because Dr Hess answered all of them before I could ask. His work is amazing, I’m extremely happy with my results and I’m currently only 3 weeks post op. When we discussed removing my implants due to my body having an adverse reaction to them, he took the time to listen to my symptoms and concerns and agreed that they needed to come out. His sense of humor and demeanor matches mine so I knew right away he was the PS for me. I also wanted a breast lift and he was honest by telling me I didn’t need it. Had he agreed, I would have paid additional thousands of dollars for a procedure I didn’t need - he is not about the money, he is about doing what he loves and making his patients happy. He told me to be realistic about my results and to be honest, I did not expect to be feeling or looking this great so soon after surgery. The surgery center where Dr Hess performs surgery is also exceptional and my experience there is off the charts. Everyone was friendly and so accommodating. Dr Hess and his staff are amazing and I couldn’t be happier. I would do it over it again and I would use Dr Hess every time! I had another consult scheduled the same day with a different surgeon that I ended up canceling because I knew Dr Hess was the perfect PS for me.

When I realized I had Breast Implant Illness and needed my implants removed, I looked for a plastic surgeon who not only could perform the surgery well, but also was sympathetic to the situation and agreed that getting an explant could help me. Dr. Hess was that surgeon. He was understanding, friendly, and knowledgable. He also saw the urgency and reserved an OR immediately (I called for a consult on a Wednesday, he got me in the next day for a consult, and I had the surgery on the next Monday). Throughout my healing process, he was available for any questions I had and I was able to go in and see him if necessary. I am now 3 months post op, feeling great, and very grateful for Dr. Hess and his team!

Went to Dr, Hess to have my implants taken out, I had several autoimmune diseases and nothing seemed to help with all of my symptoms. I found Dr. Hess on the Breast Implant Illness Facebook page. Had seen 2 other doctors who basically told me "It's all in your head". As soon as I meet with Dr. Hess I finally felt some compassion and relief that I wasn't crazy. I am so grateful to have found him. Had my implants taken out 1 month ago and 85% of all my symptoms have been elevated. I know it will take time for my body to detox, as I had my implants in for almost 12 years. I am finally on the road to recovery. Thank you to you and your staff for all the support.

I am very pleased to write this review recommending Dr. Hess of Hess Plastic Surgery. After visiting three doctors, Dr. Hess was by far the most conservative in procedure and cost for having my pannus removed. He explained what would actually work best for my body type; how his method would provide the best healing afterwards and prevent further surgeries. Dr. Hess was outstanding. I had my pannus removed and I feel WONDERFUL. Easiest surgery, very simple recovery for me which was exactly what he said would happen. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone looking for a healthy and SAFE plastic surgery experience. I feel as if I have my body back before having kids. I get many compliments at how great I look. I even exercise MORE because I feel so good. Dr. Hess, you are wonderful.

I had an umbilical float tummy tuck in July 2017 and was nervous about having surgery, you completely put me at ease and I completely understood everything that was going to happen from beginning to the end. I was worried right after surgery but I had to give it time, now I look beautiful. My stomach is back to what it was before I had babies! This was one of the best decisions I have ever made, wish I didn’t wait so long!

My breast reduction surgery was 6 months ago and I am thrilled with my results. I was a 36 DDD before my surgery and now I am a 36 B. My clothes fit better, my shoulders/back doesn’t hurt and I am so confident now! Thank you Dr. Hess, what a wonderful experience!
