American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery +Board certification in Facial Plastic Surgery indicates that a licensed physician has been certified by the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ABFPRS) through a voluntary process. The ABFPRS requires physicians to meet a defined standard of knowledge, education and training and pass a series of examinations in order to be certified in Facial Plastic Surgery. The ABFPRS also requires physicians to have previously obtained board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology, the American Board of Plastic Surgery or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in otolaryngology or plastic surgery in order be certified in Facial Plastic Surgery.

"This is a difficult, lengthy, specialized surgery with several followup visits of varying lengths for analysis of healing, removal of stitches, review of aftercare procedures etc. Thus the high cost of a highly-trained specialist; not only with ENT credentials, but also facial plastic surgery training. I cannot submit photos or videos easily as surgical procedure was 'way up' inside my nose -- which is also 'straighter':)"
