Chin Lipo with Mini Neck Lift

After a dermatologist who is NOT Dr. Malouf told me, unprompted, that I should try Kybella or something for my chin (I know, right) I came home and took a bunch of selfies. Ugh! She was right...rude but right. I’ve read mixed reviews about Kybella and I don’t have time for uncertain outcomes, so I started researching other solutions and that’s how I found Dr. Malouf. So this morning Dr. Malouf did chin/neck lipo and a mini neck lift on me. I was a little nervous, but I left his office feeling amazed by the total lack of pain during these procedures. I was warned that the numbing shots would hurt, but his nurse was fantastic, honestly I’ve had more painful injections just getting filler on a bad day. Once the numbing kicked in we we golden, off to the races. Dr. Malouf filled my chin/neck with tumnescent fluid which also contained numbing solution. Next came the liposuction. There was no pain involved whatsoever, in fact I’d say this entire procedure is really a test of one’s ability to quiet their mind and think about something pleasant. The worst part of the procedure for me was just hearing certain sounds which made me acutely aware of what was going on and some of this stuff is just gross....but so was my neck waddle, so whatever. Dr. Malouf and his staff were great and did everything they could to make sure I was comfortable, and I was. Interestingly, after my consultation when I booked the surgery I found out Dr. Malouf is a long time friend of a girlfriend of mine. I think very highly of this lady and trust her opinion on basically everything, she had nothing but nice things to say about the doctor, not just as a doctor but as a person. That endorsement immediately raised my level of trust and so this morning I had zero second thoughts or worries. This evening I’m sore, but I am managing with my pain Rx. I expect tomorrow I will be able to start weaning down. I’m trying to keep my head elevated to help with swelling, I’ve been napping on a recliner, using an airplane neck pillow and binging Netflix. I will update as things progress. Updated on 21 Jul 2018: I passed the 48 hour mark this morning. Soreness is minimal, I’m not even taking Tylenol at this point. No bruises so far, no drainage or bleeding. Swelling has gone down a lot. I’ve been sleeping in a recliner and keeping my head elevated as much as I can stand it, I think this has helped the swelling go down quickly. I only remove the chin strap to tend to the area where stitches are, then immediately put it back on. The chin strap is the worst part, I’m tired of wearing it but I know it’s necessary. Now for what you really want to know: yes, I already see a big difference, even with swelling. I see definition, my neck looks longer and better already. I will post pictures when I figure out how to edit my face out a bit. ;) Updated on 18 Aug 2018: It’s been four weeks. Dr. Malouf td me around eight weeks I’d start seeing my final result but I’m so thrilled with what I see so far I don’t care I’m ready to post pictures. I honestly didn’t expect this big a difference AT ALL let alone this early! Recommend and would do again 100%. This guy knows what he’s doing!

Chin liposuction

I have been contemplating chin lipo since I was 16 years old. My double chin has always been something I’ve been self conscience about and that started from a very early age. Both my mom and dad have thicker chins..my brother, however does not (lucky duck). I have struggled with my weight my whole life, further adding to my insecurity regarding my chin. Regardless of how much weight I lost or would lose, my chin was always there. I would cringe when my friends or family members tagged me in photos or I caught a glimpse of myself in a video or photo I was unaware of being taken. In 2007, my dad decided to have liposuction on his chin. Weeks after his surgery, he looked so good and so much younger, that I knew I wanted to have mine done one day. The only things holding me back were the downtime from work and the cost. In addition to lipo, I also considered Kybella. The thing that really appealed to me about Kybella was that it was non-surgical and took 30 minutes to do. After much research, I actually scheduled an appointment for Kybella for May 4th. Upon making my appointment, I once again went back and forth on my decision, wondering if it was indeed the best option. After even more extensive research, I decided to ultimately cancel that appointment due to the fact that the cost was roughly the same as chin liposuction and I had read that the pain and swelling just weren’t worth it. Not to mention that it took up to 3 treatments...so I would have had to go through the pain and swelling three times over..I finally decided to go through with chin Lipo on Monday, May 7th. I took a week off work and so far, I’m very happy with the results. I’m only on day 4 post-op and still have mild swelling and light bruising. I have had no complications. The most annoying part has been wearing the compression garment around my chin/neck/head, which honestly hasn’t even been that bad. Overall, I am very happy with my decision.

Always professional, always great results

I’ve been going to Dr. Malouf for 9 years now. I love that my Botox and Juvederm injections always look natural. I never look “done” but I damn sure look better. After many years of consideration I have scheduled laser re-surfacing. That’s how much I trust Dr. Malouf because I won’t lie.... this scares me a little. But I’m positive the results will be amazing. His staff is so warm and supportive. Highly recommend. Oh, and if you’re a Red Sox fan- bonus points

He has a good eye, and I liked his work.

I went to Dr. Malouf a few years ago for fuller cheeks. I wanted to have the Apple of my cheek fuller like many of my family members. I was pretty happy with it, but hated the feeling of Raddiesse being injected. For me it lasted about a year. I recently decided to get sculptra with Dr. Ho because I didn't want to get Raddiesse every year. Raddiesse feels creepy to me, but he's a good Doctor. I would still use him glady but seeing that he's a dermatologist I wanted to look for doctors that are experts in eye lifts so I kept looking.

29 Going on 25 Thanks to Dr. Malouf! ;) Fort Worth, TX

I found Dr. Malouf through Real Self. I wanted to get Botox for the first time to soften the lines on my forehead and around my eyes that I felt made me look older. I read his reviews on here as well as the answers he provided to people's questions on this site. He seemed to have a very thorough understanding of the muscles of the face and how injection technique with Botox affects the end result (I did NOT want to appear "frozen", I am only 29 and do not want to look like a Botox queen!!) I made my appointment with his office on the phone, and all of the staff were polite and helpful, especially his nurse!! I can not remember her name but she made me feel comfortable right off the bat. I told her I was interested in Botox and maybe juvederm for my bottom lip. She asked how many units, and I told her I didn't know because I hadn't had it done before. She said she thought I had already had my lips done before which was why she didn't explain it at first (wow thanks!! :), then she told me what to expect and asked if I wanted numbing cream. I said no to the numbing cream, signed the consent, then waited about 5-8 min for Dr. Malouf. He has a great bedside manner and immediately put me at ease by explaining that his goal was for me to get the results I want while still being able to make facial expressions and without looking frozen. He suggested I wait on getting he Juvederm because I had taken ibuprofen the day before and it could result in bruising, so I opted just for the Botox. I told him I wanted my forehead lines reduced, as well as the lines around my eyes. I also ended up doing my glabella after his recommendation. He was very gentle and the whole thing was virtually painless. He has a good sense of humor and isn't bad to look at either ;) I barely bled at all, and the injections themselves took about 1 min total. He explained the activity restrictions to me (no bending over for 4 hrs) and said to follow up with him in a week to see if I needed any touch ups. All in he ended up using 45 units (price was $14/unit) and I am now 8 days post and I am in love with my results! I got carded for the first time in over a year last night at dinner. My boyfriend keeps commenting on how much younger I look. It looks 100% natural, and I can still make expressions. The only side effect I noticed was I had a bit of a headache the first few days after but it resolved with taking Tylenol. I don't feel that I need any touch ups but I'll definitely be going back to him for my next botox and possibly juvederm for my lips. He is only in the Fort Worth office on certain days, so appointments can be tricky. Thanks Dr. Malouf!

22 Yrs Old, Voluma to Add Volume to Cheeks After Weight Los. Fort Worth, TX

Hi! I recirved 1 syringe of voluma (.5 per cheek) to add back some volume after weight loss. The procedure wasn't painful, just felt a bit at the deepest part of the injection. I'm not noticeably swollen and only have a small bruise on each cheek that's easily covered by makeup. I'm really happy with the results! I also had Botox to my Glabella region but since it hasn't taken effect yet I will do a separate review on it later. Updated on 18 Sep 2015: At 2 weeks in still happy with the volume! Updated on 14 Dec 2015: I'm still so glad I did this, I'll continue to do it once every year. I've actually decided to get fillers under my eye as well in about 3 weeks. Updated on 17 Jan 2016: I decided to add some filler to my tear troughs as well to completely full out the area. This was done with restylane, not juvederm. I saw a separate doctor for this. I decided to update it here as well though just to give an example of what voluma+restylane can do! So happy I did this! Updated on 4 Sep 2016: I moved so I went to a different doctor for the last two procedures- but I figured I would update it here because I know many of you are interested in seeing the effects that filler can have in many locations on the face! I feel like in about the last month most of my voluma has dissolved :/ But that means it lasted right at a year! I attached photos to here of my face before any fillers at all, and then an after photo of now with 1 yr post voluma and tew year troughs and lips. Then also a photo of just voluma and then after tear trough and lips.

Spironolactone Solved My Adult Acne Problem - Dallas, TX

I had literally given up and decided that I would go ahead and do Accutane (although I didn't want to) because no doctor or products (I tried them ALL) had helped the adult acne I was experiencing for more than 10 years. The worst part was that I had it on my chest, back and shoulders as well. I spent so many Texas summers wishing I could wear a bathing suit, sundress or tank top without embarrassment. I went to Dr. Malouf ready to take the plunge to Accutane, but when he looked at my problem and asked me a few questions, he suggested another option first. A different medication nobody had ever offered me before. Who would have thought that with zero side effects and a $10 prescription I could have a total solution? Within 2 weeks I saw a difference, and within 6 weeks I was going out without makeup. It has completely changed the way I dress, enjoy the outdoors, and experience summer. I couldn't be happier!!! Dr. Malouf is a great doctor and a kind man as well. Thanks for giving me my skin back! Updated on 26 May 2015: My skin is so perfect and acne-free now. I'll try to take pics of similar detail as afters, but suffice to say that for a year now, the only time I've had any acne is when I do dumb things like leaving makeup on overnight or forgetting to refill my prescription. So very happy :) Updated on 6 Mar 2016: Wow! I just saw that some people are saying my review isn't real because I didn't post a response for months. The truth is... I forgot. I'm sorry. But please don't take it out on Dr. Malouf. I just only recently thought about it because I went back to see him when my prescription ran out. I'll post an after photo to ratify the nay-sayers. The medication Dr. Malouf prescribed is Spironolactone. I take 50mg a day. 20 months later and I'm still almost completely acne free!! I do sometimes get a small "normal" pimple around my period, but rarely and none of the deep, painful cystic ones seen in my before photos. Now I go out without makeup regularly and best of all I can wear whatever I want because I'm not trying to cover up huge unsightly pimples all over my shoulders, chest and back. Couldn't be happier!! Dr. Malouf and his staff are very easy to talk to. They answer all questions and take time with you, never making you feel like you are hurried.
