Q: Is bruising unavoidable after Restylane injections? asked by Summer951 high desert
A:
Most patients do not bruise after Restylane injections. However sometimes bruising is unavoidable. Patients are more likely to bruise when:
- They have taken medications that thin the blood during the prior two weeks. These include Aspirin, Advil, Motrin, Alieve, Fish Oil, Vit E.
- They have injections under the eyes
- They have injections close to the surface of the skin. This is needed when fine wrinkles are treated.
The bottom line is that most patients do not bruise, however, it is wise to have your treatment at a time when there are no big events coming up so that a little bruise is not a problem.
Hope this is helpful.
