I was afraid of surgery and how bad I might look after having them so long & being older. Well, after a lot of researching I decided on Dr. Derek Shadid and let me tell you, he and his staff are every bit of AWESOME that the reviews and others say he/they are. He’s a perfectionist and he worked miracles on me. I love how I look and I am so happy I had my implants removed. He is very organized and efficient. First of all, I went in thinking I wanted a lift and implants, but after my consultation, I changed my mind and decided on only the lift. Everyone in the office was so kind about it,. They had to change my treatment plan, change my OR time, and redo the money stuff, but no one made me feel bad about it at all. They were incredibly accommodating. Second, Dr. Shadid and the whole nursing staff were awesome. Before you even go in for the procedure, they give you this book that is tailored to your specific surgery. It tells you what kind of bras to get, what kind of dressings you should have, how long you'll be down, how you'll feel from day to day - literally, it answers EVERY question you could ever have - before you have it! They had all of my follow-up appointments scheduled before I went in for the surgery. They made sure I had all of my pain medication prescriptions filled before my surgery. They had thought of every tiny detail in order to make my experience as painless and enjoyable as possible. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Shadid, April, and all the women who work in the office. It was a fabulous experience, and I am already planning my next procedure! And finally, the results: fabulous!!! I was shocked at how wonderful they were! I also did a liquid facelift and Morpheus with April Wilcox, who works in Shadid's office, and the combined results were stunning! They far exceeded my expectations! Oh! And the scars!!! The scars are amazing! I would say the scars on my eyes were completely gone within two months! And the breast lift scars are already barely noticeable, and I'm barely six months out.

I’ve worked in Cardiology for 15 years and I have NEVER EVER met any doctor like him. He is down to earth and has exceptional bedside manner. He was very caring! He does not rush you in and out like other physicians. A great deal of time is spent with each patient both during the initial consultation as well as in preop and throughout all post op visits. During the initial consulation he answers any and all questions/concerns you may have. He explains things incredibly well and gives you his own personal opinion that you can 100% trust. He does not try to up sell you or pressure you into additional cosmetic procedures like others. He will flat out tell you don’t need it. I dare you to find a plastic surgeon that does that....... He removed my breast implants and performed a lift leaving nearly no sign or scar. The only incision made was around my areola and thanks to his meticulous work it is literally unnoticeable. The first surgeon I met with wanted to perform an anchor lift after removal. I thank god for finding and meeting this very talented plastic surgeon. ...read moreOn December 06, 2021, Dr. Derek Shadid explanted by breast implants. It was a journey that began when I chose to correct my severe breast asymmetry in 2004 with silicone implants. Over the course of the next 17 years, my health began to fail, in my belief, due to the breast implants. In 2018, I learned that some women were "getting their life back" by removing their implants in a procedure known as an enbloc capsulectomy. At that time, no one in my hometown was considered an expert in this type of removal. I found Dr. Derek Shadid's name on a website that discussed physicians who were considered skilled in this technique. I consulted with him then, and knew that if I ever made the decision to removed my implants, he would be my choice! Dr. Shadid is a perfectionist. Seriously. He is all business when you're there for an appointment, but has a great bedside manner as well. He is also very funny, which I appreciate. He is truly a miracle worker. My new lifted breasts look beautiful!
