I first heard of Dr. E from my sister who had breast augmentation surgery. At the time, my sister was attending New York University, majoring in nursing, and when she decided to do the surgery she did extensive research on different plastic surgeons who perform the procedure. She chose Dr. E because of his impeccable credentials. Little did she know that there was a lot more to Dr. E than that. After her surgery, she and I discussed the possibility of me getting a breast augmentation as well. She expressed how caring and compassionate Dr. E was and so a couple of years later, remembering what my sister told me, I contacted Dr. E for a consultation. I was very nervous because I had two children and was fearful of any surgical procedures. I discussed my fears with Dr. E and he quickly put my mind at ease. He was very patient with the thousands of questions I had asked. I also found Dr. E to be both encouraging and honest. As I'm sure many woman do, my first instinct was to have huge breasts. However, his suggestions were both honest and on point and the size that we agreed I should have were, in fact, perfect for my body. Doctor E not only looks at you as his patient, but also as his friend. I was not just a chart number to him, I was a human being with fears that he understood. He was very attentive, caring, and accommodating both pre and post surgery. 13 years later I am still very happy with my breasts, so much so that when my eldest daughter decided she wanted breast augmentation surgery, there was no doubt in my mind who that surgeon was going to be. Years later, Dr. E and his staff were very welcoming and made me feel like an old friend. My sister trusted him with her life, and I trusted him not only with mine, but my daughter's as well. I am also thinking about doing other cosmetic surgery, and I am looking forward to Doctor E guidance and ultimate exquisite, results.

In several conversations, some of my friends whom I knew had breast reduction surgery kept talking about this caring plastic surgeon who has the bed side manner of the doctors from the fifties (who made house visits). I was intrigued and decided to schedule an appointment. The initial consultation was so personable and informative. Dr E took his time to get to know me and to understand the reason that I was seeking the surgery. Looking back, now I realized if Dr. E did not think that I was ready for this type of surgery, he probably would not have taken my case. Dr. E explained the process from insurance approval to the actual surgery and gave me two booklets concerning different types of plastic surgeries and pre-actual and post-surgical procedures. The booklets were very comprehensive. During every visit, Dr. E took his time to disseminate information and to make sure that I understood. He always allowed time to conduct a “Q & A” session either during the visit or via conference call. When you are a patient of Dr. E you have access to him when you need it. My surgery went smoothly and within two days I was up and about. Dr. E called me daily for several days to see how I was progressing. For the first time in 20 years I am able to get out of bed on the first try and I am looking forward to all the other activities that I will be able to participate in now. At my first meeting, Dr. E discussed how breast reduction surgery would be a life changing experience. Yesterday, I looked at myself in the mirror and screamed out. Thank you Dr. E! Anyone who is thinking about having breast reduction surgery and is looking for a doctor who enjoys what he does, keeps current with the leading surgical methods and practices, has “old school” bedside manners, has a sense of humor and really cares about his patients, then look no further, contact Dr. E!

When I began my search for a plastic surgeon to perform a much needed and desired breast lift, I started by listing the characteristics my selected surgeon should possess and came up with the following: 1) passion for his/her work; 2) integrity; 3) expertise; 4) strong interpersonal skills; 5) a strong and professional support team; and 6) a good heart. I was looking for a doctor who would be a skilled medical expert and an artist. These characteristics would serve as my go, no go standard. Is this too much to ask? Since this is my body and my one life I figured it was not. Fortunately, after two years of consultations with only board certified surgeons from all over New York and New Jersey, I was blessed, lucky, whatever you want to call it to find the doctor who possesses all these characteristics and more. During that two-year search I found much of what I did not want and very little of what I did want. There was always something not quite right and I would not settle. As many of you who have had your own plastic surgery journey know, the consultation period can be very expensive and may force one to settle even when that inner voice is saying no. I admit I almost settled! I was going to have the procedure done by a surgeon who did not completely satisfy my criteria. I was tired of the “search” and the cost. Thank Mary, Jesus, Muhammad and Buddha because Idecided to do one more search for doctor reviews before finalizing a surgery date. I came across a review of a Dr. E. located in New York City that made me think, I want what she had. This Dr. E. sounded like exactly what I was looking for and the review was so heartfelt I knew this woman was honest. I jumped on the phone and was comfortable with my initial interaction with Arlene. As you know, that first point of contact has significant influence and can make or break an appointment. Arriving at Dr. E’s office I was relieved that I was not subjected to another “dog and pony show”, by this point I was tired of the hard and inauthentic sales pitch. After all, I know why I’m there, I know what I want and don’t need anyone to convince me, just show me why you are the right doctor for me. My meeting with Dr. E. was like no other, there was no barrier between us. His support team were warm and professional and not at all solicitous. They did their job and quickly, Dr. E. took over. I really appreciated the efficient and uncomplicated way they conducted business. As for Dr. E’s “bed-side” manner and follow-up care, I could not ask for more. He and his team are awesome. Someone was there when I woke up and stayed with me until I was fully recovered from the anesthesia. Dr. E. kindly walked me to my escort vehicle and made sure that I was in good hands before I left the surgery suite. He called my recovery help twice a day for the first four days to ensure that I was well and we have his personal cell phone number if we need to reach him.

I am an anesthesiologist and I chose Dr. E to do my lipo because, of all the plastic surgeons I work with, he does the best sculpturing. I'm so happy with my results! I can't believe how it turned out and it's only my 1st wk postop! I now have an hourglass figure; I never even had a waistline. And he tells me it's even going to get better. I couldn't be happier!

Finding a doctor to perform my plastic surgery needs/desires was an overwhelming task before I walked into Dr. E’s office! His staff was warm and welcoming and made this somewhat anxious experience VERY comfortable. His knowledge, skills and experience well surpass any doctors I’ve met and the proof can be seen from my results. I had both breast silicon implants and liposuction and I am beyond happy with my results. I had the normal concerns about looking fake or even worse, something going wrong during the operation! During my consultation, I shared my concerns with Dr. Engler and he gave me his recommendations, informed me of risks and walked me through the entire process. Even more astounding, he listened to me and surpassed all my expectations when it came to my results. “I” was in his best interest and he isn’t consumed in the “glamour of plastic surgery” which inherently can have negative consequences. Dr. Engler is a very gifted surgeon and approaches the profession unlike any other doctor I met His customer care is impeccable from initial consultation to post op follw ups. The manner in which he conducts his business, treats patients and approaches his profession solidifies that he upholds himself to the highest morals, values and standards in the plastic surgery industry. Not only will he be my plastic surgeon for life when its time for maintenance or upgrades but now I also have a friend for life. The office environment was very intimate The receptionist was incredibly warm and respectful. The PA made me feel safe and comfortable from the beginning. When I met Dr. E, I liked him right away. I appreciated his honesty as he explained that liposuction is not a precise procedure. It was good for me to hear that I may have some "waviness" due to the limitations of skin elasticity (especially because my skin had already stretched so much from my first pregnancy) because it allowed me to set realistic expectations. I also enjoyed his sense of humor: When I told him that I wanted to have more kids in the future his response was: "we don't do that here." Dr. E was confident that I would have "fantastic results" and when he told me that the results would be "dramatic" I felt elated. I didn't even hesitate; I immediately scheduled the procedure (I felt bad about the other surgeon but I had to go with my gut on this one). The fact that he had me laughing so hard during my pre-op photos speaks to his ability to put you at ease and make you actually want to take your clothes off (ha!). When I heard another patient who came in after me say "I love him!" as I was scheduling my appointment I felt even more confident in my decision to switch doctors.

Oh my!!! There is so much I can say about Dr. E, but I will let his work speak for itself. He is truly a gifted & phenominal surgeon with blessed hands. He loves what he does therefore will not steer you wrong. He does not sell you a dream, he tells you what is right for you based on your needs & expectations. I trust him so much I have been with him over a year now, he as done 2 revisions (one of my breasts, the other of my nose) & currently provided treatment for hyperhydrosis (excessive sweating of the hands).

Choosing Dr. E turned out to be the best decision I ever made! Dr. E is truly a cut above the rest….I’m thankful everyday I stepped into his office. He’s an absolutely gifted surgeon and highly recommend him to everyone I know. I researched a handful of doctors in the area and narrowed it down to the best of the best that I wanted to have consultation with. I knew being face to face would ultimately help me decide. What I didn’t realize was how apparent my choice would be upon entering Dr. Englers office. I immediately felt at home. His staff was very warm and helpful and treated me as a person, not a number or the next business transaction like I felt at other doctor offices. Not once did I feel pressured to make a decision. And any question I could think of was answered with sincerity. Furthermore, Dr. Engler was extremely thorough in my consultation offering advice on size, shape and overall assessment not even knowing if I’d call back to book the surgery. It wasn’t until the day of surgery that I fully realized what a great decision I made. Prior to surgery, in depth conversations occurred to solidify the choice in implant size and in my case the choice of two different sized implants. Also, a differing incision height from left to right was also deemed necessary to get optimum results. I felt great relief as I went into surgery knowing that all the possibilities were discussed to get the results I so desired. I’m so thankful that Dr. Engler is as amazing and talented as he is. I could have had quite the botched surgery if I had been in the wrong hands. Upon leaving the office, Dr. Engler checked in every day for the first week to make sure the recovery was going smoothly. And if any additional questions or concerns came up he was gladly at my disposal via his cell at any hour of the day.

In my case I had no fear in that department. I knew that I was ready to wear button downs, strapless dresses, and be comfortable in a bikini. With that being said Dr. E made all of that happen. He spoke to my parents conservatively. He leveled with me and helped me understand the procedure and post operation recovery and finally made my dreams come true. When asked after my surgery how I felt, I could only reply “I feel myself”. Dr. E not only brilliantly constructed my new breasts, but made me more confident then I could ever imagine. Now as an art major I can go into my live drawing class and not be jealous of the female model posing in front of me, but instead be proud of what I have and not compare myself. My situation is a little different from most of the other people who are writing in. I went to see Dr. E for a procedure I HAD to have done and didn't choose for myself. I was very frightened and really did not want to do it. But I had to. From the first minute I called the office, I felt better. The person who answered the phone was friendly and helpful, set up an appointment for me quickly and efficiently, made all the necessary arrangements with the referring doctor and reassured me. When I went to the office, I was greeted warmly. Everyone on the staff was so nice and helped to put me at ease. Then I met Dr. E - and he was kind, friendly and personable. He explained everything to me and told me that he would take excellent care of me and he certainly did! Most importantly, he made me feel entirely confident in his knowledge and expertise. In a rather vulnerable situation, I so thoroughly felt that I could trust him and benefit from his experience. Throughout the procedure in his office, Dr. E and his staff made sure that I was calm, comfortable and informed of what was going on. Afterwards, he called to make sure that I felt fine, and I did!! 3 of my doctors independently referred me to the same plastic surgeon - "the best of the best...Dr. E." His skills, expertise & surgical wizardry surpassed my expectations. The man is a genius & just so happens to be one of the most compassionate, loving, individuals I've been fortunate to meet. During my initial consultation, I was treated like royalty by Dr. E and his warm, engaging staff. He assessed my complex case of upcoming multiple procedures taking into context my age (61), health, lifestyle and counseled me on realistic goals & expectations. During the course of this year, Dr. E performed a breast lift with gobs of loose skin removed from my back and sides, a circumferential body lift, circumferential thigh lift and a bilateral arm lift. Neither of us had any idea how quickly I would heal with minimal discomfort after each procedure.

The nerves quickly subsided, however, when I walked in and was greeted by two staff whose smiles and friendly attitudes instantly made me feel more comfortable. Even the layout of the office, the cozy waiting area with its ‘feels like home atmosphere,’ put me more at ease. During the consultation, Dr. E continued to make me feel relaxed while we discussed my expectations, concerns and desired results. Given the amount of research I have done and the excellent recommendation from a close family friend I knew he was a renowned surgeon in his field, but I did not expect to be equally as impressed by his warmth and good nature. Dr. E and his team continued to impress me throughout my experience. On the days leading up to the surgery I spoke several times to the staff and Dr. E himself regarding final decisions on size, as they truly wanted to ensure the best outcome would be achieved given my body type and desired results. There were also several times I called to make sure I was following the appropriate pre-op protocol to calm those last minute nerves, and each time they were readily available and extremely patient with me. The actual surgery went as seamlessly as I could ever have hoped for and I could not be any happier with the results. During the recovery period not only was Dr. E extremely responsive, he also personally called, emailed, and texted me several times a day to check in on my status. If he was going to be unavailable for a certain period of time he let me know in advance. Knowing Dr. E and his team were there if needed at any given moment was invaluable. One month later, I am feeling great and my confidence has sky rocketed. I can honestly say the entire experience surpassed all my expectations.

When the idea of having a breast implant procedure crossed my mind, I did some research online like many others. After compiling a list of surgeons based on websites and comments, I scheduled my first interview with Dr. E. My first meeting with the doctor went smoothly. He was very patient in answering all my questions and provided me with materials describing the procedure and its risks. Since I felt really comfortable with Dr. E, I knew I need not schedule interviews with other surgeons anymore. Throughout the process, Dr. E gave me professional advice and delivered the result I wanted. I would not know if Dr. E is the best surgeon as I have not tried others, but I am really pleased with what I have got. I am writing this testimonial close to 6 years after a breast augmentation. After breastfeeding 2 beautiful babies, I was left with deflated sagging breasts and just wanted to look normal again. Dr. E is one of the most thorough, professional and knowledgeable physicians I've ever met. He explained the surgery and recovery period, told me what to expect and was there to guide me through the process. After surgery, Dr. E called me everyday for two weeks to make sure I was recovering well in addition to the followup appointments and I had his cell number in case of emergencies. His staff is extremely knowledgeable, efficient and kind. When researching different plastic surgeons, Dr. E really stood out for me. He only works with the best people, has invented tools used in the procedure, teaches the various procedures he performs, has written books on liposculpture and has been practicing for over 25 years. He approaches body sculpture as an art form and is very talented. I couldn't be happier with his performance and bedside manner and I strongly recommend him to anyone who wants to have this type of surgery.

I came to Dr. E requesting a breast reduction. First off, his staff could not have been more helpful or supportive in helping with the paperwork to have the procedure covered by insurance (and not all doctor's offices will do this.) Dr. E himself was professional and warm - he answered all my questions and also worked with my insurance company to make sure that the procedure would be covered. I was nervous about the actual surgery, but Dr. E and his staff were caring and reassuring - it really helped. The day of the surgery, Dr. E was again professional and reassuring. And, afterwards, he checked up on me multiple times during my recovery via phone and was available for follow-up visits and to answer any any questions. The results of the surgery are fantastic - proportional, smaller breasts that are healing up nicely. Already I've noticed in improvement in back pain and body aches, as well as just plain looking better. I'm extremely pleased with my experience and thoroughly recommend Dr. E for any and all plastic surgery procedures.

The decision to get a breast augmentation starts with excitement, but it is a daunting task to choose the best doctor for this life-changing procedure. I chose to have a consultation with Dr.Engler because he had a reputation of being one of the best breast augmentation surgeons in the city. I was welcomed with a friendly staff, and all my questions were answered during the consultation in which he also explained to me the various options for surgery. Dr.Engler was spot on when he helped me to decide the size and the type of implant, and most importantly, I was informed and comfortable with the decisions for my surgery every step of the way. He took all my phone calls when I had any questions or doubts at all, and provided honest and realistic solutions to my problems. Dr. Engler called me twice a day for the 3~4 crucial days after the surgery to check up on my progress, and made sure that everything was right during my recovery period. The care and support that Dr.Engler and his staff provided can’t be found in a clinical environment. I am ecstatic with my choice to have this procedure with Dr.Engler, and I know now that there is a reason why people rave about him. I was referred to Dr. Engler through my physician. I had some excess breast tissue on one side, called axillary breast tissue, that was both unsightly and, during my menstrual cycles, painful. I wanted to have that tissue removed and was extremely nervous about the procedure. When I met Dr. Engler he immediately put me at ease with his warm and friendly demeanor. He explained the procedure in great detail and addressed all of my concerns. The procedure went well and, as promised, I experienced a smooth and easy recovery. Naturally, I had some concerns during the recovery, including discomfort and the contour of the final result. He never once made me feel as if I was complaining or being overly sensitive. He was kind, gracious, and generous with his time. The result is, in fact, excellent. His staff is wonderful and always makes me feel welcome. They remember me immediately and ask how I am. It's rare to find such a personable and caring staff. I have and will continue to highly recommend Dr. Engler for his fine work and integrity.

Dr. Engler was the first surgeon that I ended up getting a consultation with and I was instantly drawn to him. He had an amazing personality and answered every question I had to the fullest extent, and was someone I knew I would feel comfortable having this surgery with. I literally walked into the room with a notepad of questions and he patiently answered all of them and then some! I had brought my boyfriend to each consultation with me as well and he felt the same positive energy from Dr. Engler. Being that person that needs to make sure everything is perfect and wonderful I knew that I couldn't just go with the first surgeon I met with. I wanted to have others to compare him to. I saw 4 other surgeons in NY and no one compared to Dr. Engler and his fabulous staff. We instantly went back to Dr. Engler and set up my surgery date with him. His staff is warm and welcoming and very informative with any questions you may have through the entire process. I wanted to write a recommendation for Dr. Alan Engler as I've been so pleased with the work he has done on me over the years. Most recently, I had lower lid eye surgery. The first time I went to Dr. Engler for a procedure was a number of years ago for liposuction. I'm pretty thin, but I had saddle bags which wouldn't go away no matter how much I exercised. I did quite a bit of research and saw a number of doctors, but none impressed me as much as Dr. Engler and his staff. The moment you enter his office, you feel at ease. Everyone is warm, kind, and caring, and they really go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. Dr. Engler, who's board certified (this was important to me), took time to explain the procedure and answered as many questions as I could think of. I never felt rushed, and his very personable manner made me feel much less nervous about undergoing the procedure. The surgery went great, my recovery went smoothly, and the results were excellent. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Engler to anyone contemplating cosmetic surgery. Bottom line, Dr. Engler is an excellent physician and I would not hesitate go back to him again.

Once I decided to go ahead and get breast implants here in NYC, I bought a few books by doctors I can find in the city. After reading three, I decided to consult with Dr. Engler. I liked what he had to say the most, and got a good vibe from the book. Upon meeting with him, I knew I had to look no further for a doctor. I met him in October 2005, had surgery December 2005. Everyone from the receptionists, to the nurses to the anesthesiologist was great. To this day, I am a patient, trusting Dr. Engler to take care of me with Botox and Restylane. I have recommended friends to him, too. I highly recommend him!

Fabulous doctor. I did my research when choosing a surgeon for my breast augmentation...lots and lots of research. I've had plenty of experience with doctors and surgery: impacted wisdom teeth extraction age 18, appendectomy 19, tonsillectomy/removal of adnoids 21, and most recently before my breast augmentation with Dr. Engler, I elected to have a small liposuction procedure at age 22 with a surgeon close to home. This doctor had decent credentials and fairly good reviews online. I met with him and found him to be an arrogant man with little time for me and my questions. However, I ignored my gut instinct on this surgeon because when looking at my past experience on the operating table, all of my doctors have had this kind of superior attitude. I thought to myself "It doesn't matter what his personality is like as long as he does his job well." WELL, not only did he not do his job well (changed his mind from using general anesthesia to local when I was already in the operating room/ rolled his eyes and sighed impatiently at his staff during my procedure/ sent his nurse in to see me for my appointment the day after my surgery rather than seeing me himself) he has left me, nearly 4 months later, with lumpy scar tissue beneath my skin that I find humiliating. Furthermore, he has been completely unavailable to me when I try to express my concerns and disappointment, and when I finally WAS able to get in to see him, he told me it was in my head and that I look fine. After this disappointing first experience with plastic surgery, I was extremely hesitant about going ahead with the breast augmentation I've wanted since I was a teenager. I decided to do things right this time around and settle for nothing less than a doctor who is not only an extremely educated, qualified, and experienced surgeon, but who is also someone equally passionate about people and his craft. That is exactly what I found in Dr. Engler. Not only did all of my online research lead me to him (impeccable credentials and endless positive reviews), I found him to be, quite simply, a genuinely nice man. I felt immediately at ease when I met with him for the first time. I felt like I was talking to a family friend. He and his staff did not pressure me to schedule surgery with him the first time I met him(very different than my other experience visiting plastic surgeons!). He gave me as much time as I needed to ask all of the questions I had, and was very frank about what my options were and what results I could expect. After my second consultation with Dr. Engler, I called his office and scheduled surgery. The week before my surgery I hovered between being very excited and very anxious. I called Dr. Engler's office frequently with many additional questions, and his staff was always extremely accommodating and sweet, answering all of my questions and putting my mind at ease. The morning of my surgery I was late due to poor guesswork at morning commute time on the LIE, but everyone including Dr. Engler was very nice about it. Dr. Engler told me exactly what was going to happen in the operating room, marked me up for surgery, and even bonded with me over our mutual love of The Beatles (high five!). Before I knew it I was in the operating room, and the nurse and anesthesiologist were very friendly. I was talking to the anesthesiologist about how he grew up in the town next to mine, then ZZZZZZZzzzzz =). I am finally in good hands with Dr. Engler. For the amazing care he shows his patients and his precision and expertise... he is worth every penny! Thank you Dr. Engler for doing exactly what a plastic surgeon should do: make every patient feel special, safe, and confidant with their new body!

My experience with Dr. E and his staff was nothing short of superb; a welcoming and professional environment. Four years ago, I came to Dr. E to discuss the possibility of rhinoplasty surgery. He had come highly recommended by my trusted dermatologist at the time. As it turned out, I decided against the rhinoplasty but began considering implant surgery instead. When I was finally ready to take the plunge, I knew Dr. E was the right fit for me. Both he, and his staff were so warm and welcoming during my initial consultation, it was an easy decision to make. During our first consultation on implant surgery, Dr. E was gracious in spending time discussing options that would suit my body: I am 5'0" and 100 lbs, and was worried about the implants being too big for my frame. He took the time to ask many questions about myself and my lifestyle in order to truly understood my unique perspective and areas of concern. In fact, I felt so at ease with him and his abilities, I allowed him to make the decision as to the appropriate size implant once I was on the table. During our second visit, as he was taking photographs, I mentioned that I had been having lower back pain, and that I had noticed a lipoma (fatty cyst) developing in that region. He took the time to listen to my symptoms, to explore what was going on and to suggest that I see a specialist. On my third and last visit before surgery, he asked me how my back was doing. He knew that I was struggling and cared about how I was feeling. I told him I suspected the lipoma was at least partially responsible for my back discomfort and that the specialists had suggested it be removed. Remarkably, Dr. E volunteered to remove the lipoma - free of charge - during my implant surgery. Most plastic surgeons would never have taken the time to learn more about a patient's issues unrelated to their specific cosmetic procedure, let alone volunteer their time and effort to resolve it. But that is the type of surgeon - and human being - Dr. E is. I am almost 2 weeks post-op now, and I love my new breasts: they are perfectly suited for my size. And just as satisfying is that since the lipoma was removed, my back pain has subsided. I cannot say enough how much I loved working with Dr. E. His care, expertise and professionalism are beyond compare.

Since my teenage years I’ve wanted to have breast implants; and at 29 years old, after having two kids, not only did I want the implants but I badly needed a lift as well. After talking to friends and family I was referred to Dr. Engler. The moment I met him I knew he was the right surgeon for me; I did have consults with others, but he was by far the best (even my Mom was impressed, and that’s hard to do). Dr. Engler and his entire staff are so warm and welcoming you immediately feel like family; his office is two hours from my home and I always looked forward to my appointments despite the drive. Dr. Engler is extremely passionate about his work and his patients which was exactly what I was looking for. I wanted someone who was as fanatical about my outcome and overall happiness as I was and Dr. Engler was exactly that. We decided to do a lift and implant at the same time. The morning of my surgery I was nervous; surgery is always scary, but that was magnified with the thought of my 3 year old and 8 month old at home. Dr. Engler and his anesthesiologist did a great job keeping my mind off that and focused on a more fun, light conversation. After the surgery, that afternoon and evening, Dr. Engler personally called twice to check on me and make sure I was doing ok. He did this twice a day for an entire week, including Saturday and Sunday. A few times I emailed him with minor questions and always got an immediate response back. One time specifically, I had emailed him at 7:45am Saturday morning and told him that it was no rush, as it was not an important or concerning question, and that hearing from him Monday when he got back to the office was fine. Instead, I got a phone call that same Saturday morning at 8:20am responding to my email and answering my question. No matter what time, or day, Dr. Engler was always there for me, for any reason, and despite what I may have been interrupting him from he always made me feel like I was the only thing that mattered at that moment. The first time I saw my new breasts I was ecstatic and totally impressed with his work. I knew that he would do a perfect job. I knew that no other surgeon would have been able to give me the same results he did. Not only did he give me gorgeous new breasts but he also made me feel amazing again.

He patiently answered all of my questions and concerns, not just throughout the initial consultation, but from then on forward to this very day. What made me choose Dr. Engler was not just his reputation, but his honesty during my assessment. He told me to exactly what to expect and not to expect in regards to my results and never pushed me to make a decision. Between deciding to have the surgery and the surgery itself, I had many questions and concerns arise. Dr. Engler, Arlene and Katie took as much time as I needed to answer my questions, and on the day of the surgery, I was greeted by people who were genuinely excited for me and for what was ahead of me post-op. My focus changed to plastic surgeons located in Manhattan and I began to learn about Dr. Engler, his professional reputation and expertise and staff. After meeting with him and discussing the procedure, I realized that not only was this doable in the time I had available to be away from my office, but that Dr. Engler was that right person with the right skills. He acquainted me with every aspect of the surgery and what to expect, and his staff even gave me a shopping list of dressings, supplies, clothing and other items (as if I was going away to camp!). Dr Alan Engler was the first of a few surgeons I had chosen after doing a ton of research and narrowing down a much longer list. I don't like to judge people by their appearance, but there was something about the picture of him on his website. He just seemed so friendly and inviting. Well that not only turned out to be true for him, but also his entire staff. From the receptionist to even the anesthesiologist he worked with, everyone was as sweet as can be. Dr Engler first impressed me with his bedside manner. He always made sure that I was comfortable. I loved that he listened to all of my concerns and answered my many questions with carefully thought out answers. His responses were always honest and thorough. He never made me feel like he was brushing my silly concerns aside, as I had previously experienced with another plastic surgeon.He is truly talented at plastic surgery, and especially with breast augmentation, one of his specialties. I'm sure all of his surgeries are free of recovery issues, but just to make sure, he called me twice a day, everyday for about five days following the procedure. I guess the biggest test of his talent would be the results. Well once again he didn't disappoint. Absolutely flawless.

After much research and having gone to a couple of consultations, I knew I found the right doctor with Dr. Engler. He instantly made me feel comfortable. He was very personable, knowledgeable, very straightforward, and clearly had the credentials to back him up. After going in for my procedure and a follow up visit, I have to say that I'm tremendously satisfied with Dr. Engler. His two staff members were also beautiful, inside and out! They always welcomed me (and other clients) with top notch customer service. My entire experience there was great. Everything from Dr. Engler's bedside manners, my interactions with his staff, the surgery, and making me feel comfortable about the procedure was of top notch quality. Dr. Engler exceeded every standard that defines a great physician in my book. I wish I could clone Dr. Engler and his staff and have them be one of the physicians I have to see regularly. If you’re anything like me, you perform extensive research on anything that requires a substantial commitment in your life; whether it be a new apartment, a hairdresser or an espresso machine...it all comes down to the reviews...and that's most definitely the case when it comes to selecting doctors–especially when you're going under the knife. I had a massive lipoma on my back (I'm talking almost a 6-inch diameter) and had one goal in mind for its removal: SMALL scar. Reading several glowing reviews about Dr. Engler’s work, I noticed there was one common thread that each testimony consistently raved about – his level of commitment to his clients. I contacted 6 doctors total and there was only one who wrote me back personally – that was Dr. Engler. I had consultations with 4 of the surgeons and after meeting Dr. Engler, I knew my search had ended. During our consultation, he put me at ease by going into such detailed explanation of the entire procedure, how/what I would expect to feel and took the time to answer all of my specific questions around the recovery process. I didn’t want to have to do this in the hospital and was concerned about anesthesia and pain. But Dr. Engler assured me that we could do this in his office surgery facility under just local anesthesia. Of course, the injections were a little uncomfortable but he and his assistant talked me through the whole thing and kept me comfortable, and it turned out to be surprisingly easy. And, despite my squeamishness, it was even kind of interesting! The care that Dr. Engler and his team provide is a first class experience. I live in close proximity to his office and he called just to check on me to make sure I had gotten home safely. The day after the surgery, I woke up and was greeted with a phone call from Dr. E checking on my status and without hesitation he let me know that he would be coming into the city on Saturday – yes, a Saturday – just so that he could remove the drain and change my dressing. The results of my surgery were incredible and far exceeded my expectations; the size of the incision on my back is about a half-inch...it literally looks like a tiny cat scratch! And virtually no pain at all. I am still in awe of the fact that Dr. Engler was able to extract such a massive amount of fat tissue from my back through such a minuscule incision...but this is why you go to a surgeon who knows what he's doing; just a few weeks later the scar I have is so unnoticeable. So if you're looking for a surgeon that genuinely cares and will dedicate his time to ensuring your comfort through your entire procedure, look no further. Amazing does not even begin to describe the quality of doctor Dr. E is. I had breast augmentation and a lift done with Dr. E. My PCP referred Dr E to me but truth be told I had to do my research I wanted to make sure the Dr I was going to go under the knife was board certified and most important someone that I could talk to without feeling I was just another chart. From the moment I stepped into his office it was a pleasant experience the receptionist was warm and welcoming. When I met Dr. E he was very informative he answered all my questions and made a drawing of where the incisions would be done. Dr E helped me every step of the way we spoke about sizes and the type of implant that would be best for my body. I was nervous but by the 2nd consultation I knew Dr E was the right surgeon for me. I was never rushed to schedule my surgery I just kept coming back w questions and taking the lollipops that he keeps in a bucket halfway down the hall…on the right on the way out… After the surgery Dr. E called me 2 -3 times a day checking up on me. Making sure I was ok, he even gave me his cell phone number letting me know he was there if I had any questions or concerns. I thought “who does that??” well Dr E does! I am now the happiest I have ever been. I did my research during the summer and decided to have a consultation with at least 3 doctors before I would start a procedure. So I made 3 appointments in the beginning of September. The first doctor had a fancy office and nicely framed diplomas, but he was young and seemed a bit inexperienced. I did not feel too confident about the consultation. The 2nd appointment was with dr. Engler. When I came to a free consultation (while I paid the previous doctor $ 200 just to see me!) I immediately felt at ease. The girl at the front desk, Ilene, was very friendly and welcoming. The consultation went great. Doctor Engler answered all my questions patiently. He did not rush me and made me feel comfortable to ask all i wanted to know. He gave me a very handy and informative booklet that he wrote himself. He even gave me some homework to make sure I picked exactly the size I wanted. I came home with a good feeling about dr Engler, which was confirmed and strengthened by many positive reviews I read about his practice. The next day I cancelled my third appointment and called the office of dr. Engler to schedule a surgery date. I had made my choice and I never regretted it for a second. At the 2nd appointment with dr. Engler we discussed the details of the surgery and scheduled a date for the surgery. I couldn't wait for that day to come! Dr. Engler's assistant Katie and the anesthesiologist were wonderfully supportive and professional. Dr. Engler was very caring in the follow up after the surgery. Dr. Engler performed my breast augmentation with a cresent lift on one side. I found Dr. Engler after searching forums, reading reviews online, and ultimately stumbling upon his website and youtube videos. After liking what I saw, I decided to schedule a consultation. During the consultation, Dr. Engler did a great job of putting my mind at ease and answering all of my questions. Deciding to go through with an operation of this magnitude is very stressful, and the days leading up to my consultation had me tossing and turning thinking of the "what if" scenarios. My anxiety lifted when I actually got to meet Dr. Engler. He is very friendly, charismatic, and knowledgeable. During my consultation, Dr. Engler didn't shy away from any questions and made sure to disclose all pertinent information necessary to inform me. For example, when I asked about the likelihood of my areola becoming larger as a result of the augmentation, Dr. Engler clearly explained that it would indeed be larger because everything would be larger. Instead of telling me what I wanted to hear (that it wouldn't, or that it might not), he told me what I needed to hear. By directly answering all my questions during our consultation, Dr. Engler firmly established himself as someone who I trusted. Another thing I appreciate about Dr. Engler is that he recommends what would look best on me, and aims to give me a believable look. I think that this is another area where his pragmatic approach shows. Dr. Engler has done his homework on implants and recommended silicone implants based on the natural feel of them. I trust his judgment and post-op, I couldn't be happier with silicone. Dr. Engler and his staff were amazing to work with, they helped me so much the day of surgery with figuring out how to prepare, such as what type of bra to buy and bring with me, and organizing for a car to take me home when my husband came to pick me up after the surgery. Dr. Engler spoke to my husband to check in on me immediately after surgery, and he routinely called me throughout my recovery to make sure that the pain medications that I was taking were working. In summary, Dr. Engler and his staff did an amazing job. I cannot imagine achieving a better result, and I'm so glad that I decided to go with Dr. Engler!

I have also contacted a few offices before setting up appointments, so that I can get a feel of the office staff and their attitudes. Before actually meeting Dr. Engler himself, I knew that he was the surgeon for me. Just by looking at his work on his website, I was completely confident in his work. After meeting him, I was certain that I was going to have him do my surgery. He was very friendly and approachable. He was also honest and realistic with the breast implant outcomes/decisions, a trait which I’m sure some doctors lack.

Dr. Engler was the third doctor I'd seen about getting breast augmentation. Before we met, I thought I'd pick the first, but halfway though our conversation I knew it wasn't going to be that easy. When I left his office, I knew in my heart he'd be the one. Dr. Engler is warm, confident and knows what he's talking about. He knows how to make breasts look 'better than real', as he would say. Most plastic surgeon visits are extremely similar, the difference with Dr. E was his casual presence. I felt like I was chatting with a doctor friend about BA, and I had an extra dose of respect that HE told me the price instead of having his assistant do it. The price also includes all pre-op and post-op visits for life! He was a professional Dr. that every patient expects. After one exhausted night, I was scrolling down on the most prominent doctors' with a brief profile/picture and I just clicked on Dr. Engler's profile out of so many doctors because I thought he looks very sincere and willing to hear my issues. Upon reading his information, comments, and watched a few times that he was on Ricki Lake & Tara Banks show offering this lady a complimentary breasts augmentation. I thought to myself, he must be a genuine, sincere, and honest doctor and that's what I need. I remember first seeing Dr. Engler's work on an episode of "The Ricki Lake Show" several years ago. I was blown away by the outstanding results of the women. These were women whose stories I could relate to and after surgery they looked exactly how I wished I could look. I saved Dr. Engler's information because I knew that when I became able to make the investment I wanted him to perform my procedure. I sat down at the computer and started to look for myself the surgeon. I considered also Germany, Switzerland and England, but a choice I stopped on USA. I found 3 surgeons with the most positive feedbacks, but decided to rely on intuition and having seen Tyra's video with doctor Engler and understood that he is my doctor since it was pleasant to me he is professional surgeon and from it blew as kindness, a positive and a wide experience! I wrote to him and doctor quickly answered! We began to communicate on Skype and I already understood that it’s him, because the doctor communicated to me as though knows me long ago and I had a feeling that it for already as the loved and native one! We appointed day of operation and I was going to depart to New York, but family circumstances developed so that at us it did not turn out to take off and I decided to perform operation at my city. Operation passed unsuccessfully! After terrible one and a half month it was necessary to perform second surgery on removing the implants. It was very pleasant to me that in such difficult period, doctor Engler answered me and he was ready to advise me in spite of the fact that I with it agreed to perform operation at it and it cancelled! Then I understood that made a mistake, but already was late! The doctor agreed to operate me repeatedly in two months! I was very happy! Started to drink vitamins and to watch, that I was restored after unsuccessful operation rather! Time flew by quickly … At last this day came. I had no excitement since I was sure of it. We came to NYC. Our first meeting passed how I expected it! Dr. Engler appeared even better, than on Skype. The surgery passed successfully. The doctor besides that increased my breast till the desirable size, it also tightened to me a nipple, I got a beautiful and symmetric breast. On the same day I was written out from clinic and went to hotel. It was very pleasant to me that the doctor called me each two hours and was interested in my health. So professional, knowledgeable, kind, funny - I hold Dr Engler in the highest patient esteem and firmly believe he sets the standard for which all doctors should aspire to be. I can’t recommend him highly enough. After reading so many positive and detailed reviews on Dr. E, I called his office and spoke with Arlene, who was very sweet. She asked me a number of screening questions, and scheduled an appointment. Dr E’s office atmosphere is pleasant and serene, with a welcoming staff. I did not have to wait - Dr E was on time (as appears to be his standard) - and he greeted me with a warm smile and a firm handshake. Dr E was so patient with my myriad of questions, and was empathetic that this was not a “fun procedure”, i.e., something one would not expect to be doing all over again - the anxiety, expense, taking time off for healing (and no working out for at least 3 weeks!). Once satisfied all my questions were answered, I thanked Dr E, who not once pressured me to schedule surgery.

I reached out to my friend who is in medical field and had implants done several years ago. They look so great, and I figured between her medical background and her fantastic result, I wanted to go to her doctor. I looked Dr. Engler up online and found he had great reviews. So, I called his office and got an appointment to meet with him. I liked Dr. Engler immediately. I was very comfortable speaking with him and he was clearly extremely experienced. It was a little bit more to plan since I was coming in from Boston, but I was determined to go to the best doctor for such an involved proceedure with visually lasting effects, and I felt that doctor was Dr. Engler. Due to several events going on in my life over the next few months, I was very anxious to have the surgery as soon as possible. Thanks to their efforts to accommodate me, I was able to schedule the procedure within the time frame I needed. He and his staff called me several times in advance to go over details, track down my pre-op test results, and answer any questions. When the week of the surgery arrived, there were additional challenges that came up in my schedule, complicated by the fact that I was coming in from out of state. Dr Engler and his entire office coordinated things so that I was able to come in a little later on my scheduled day andI proceed with the surgery. He and his staff actually stayed after hours to accomodate me, for which I was so incredibly grateful. After surgery, Dr. Engler called me for the next 8 days to check on my healing. He answered any questions that I had, and called both during the day and later at night to check in. After the first week, I sent him a photo, and we were both very pleased with my results! I scheduled a follow up appointment for the following week, which was again very easy to schedule. Overall, I really can't recommend Dr Engler enough, due to his experience, professionalism, and flexibility in working with someone coming in from out of town. Dr. Engler immediately put my major fears to rest. Honestly, I have never met a doctor who made me feel more at ease in my life - and both my parents are doctors! In my initial consultation he addressed all my questions with a combination of obvious expertise in the field, anecdotes, and humor: the definition of "good bedside manner." He was very understanding of the aesthetic I was aiming for, and assured me that the size I wanted (a full B cup) was going to look and feel natural on my frame, and advised me to use silicone rather than saline for the same reasons. I walked out of our first meeting still a little nervous, but he and his warm, wonderful staff gave me all the materials I needed to feel like I was making the right decision (including a fun way to test out different sizes at home). In the appointments leading up to the actual surgery, Dr. Engler was very thorough in determining what exact size would look best on my body; he even considered different-sized implants because one breast was slightly larger than the other, and a bone in my sternum protruded slightly more on one side which can affect the way the implant sits. These are the kinds of tiny details Dr. Engler pays attention to: details I hadn't even noticed about my own body!

I was impressed by all the great and consistent reviews and when I met Dr. E he lived up to his reputation of excellence. I met with several PS in the city and although qualified and highly recommend I still did not feel they were the right choice for me.From the moment I called Dr. Engler's office to set up a consultation my expectations were exceeded and I am continually impressed at the level of personal attention, care and expertise every member of his team exhibits. Arlene completely understood my situation and worked miracles to get me the consultation I needed and was able to secure a surgery date within the exact window I had available. Upon meeting Dr. Engler, he instantly put me at ease. I work as an actress and commercial print model and achieving a VERY natural result was important to me in addition to correcting the very painful contracture. He really listened and understood my concerns. He explained things to me in a way that no other surgeon had and discussed my options answering the many questions I had in detail and told me I could email him personally if any other questions or concerns came up after I left. Which I did, several times and he would either answer me back promptly or call me personally if it required a more lengthy response. I knew I had finally found the right person I could trust with what would be an extensive procedure. As I mentioned before, I had a very small window in which to have the surgery with sufficient time to recover before returning back to work. As it turned out, Hurricane Sandy also decided to pay NY a visit. Dr. Engler called me every day the weekend before the scheduled surgery as we were now in standby mode not knowing if/how Sandy would affect us and we discussed different options and possible last minute date changes. Sandy proved to be as disastrous as predicted and I was not able to go in on my scheduled date. Still we pressed on hoping that things would settle down enough and we might eventually be able to do it within the time frame I needed;. if not, I would have to wait and suffer the pain until the new year which was the soonest I would have a break from work. Dr. Engler stayed in communication via phone calls and text and we were, eventually able to do the surgery.. When I got to the office on the day of surgery he consulted with me again before marking me up for surgery. He had me meet with everyone that would be in the room during the surgery and I felt extremely comfortable and assured I was in good hands. Katie and the anesthesiologist were outstanding. Post op, Dr. E came out to speak to my boyfriend who had been waiting for me during the lengthy procedure and assured him that the surgery went well and that I was in the recovery room. Then, it turned out that my ride home was stuck in traffic. Dr. E himself actually stayed in the office late into the evening and he personally brought me to the car. Post op Dr. E checked on me every single day by phone for the first week. That really meant a lot to me. I had been living with pain and tightness across my chest that radiated into my arm for over a year. Post surgery I immediately felt a difference and it was such a relief. I cannot begin to express how lovely and refreshing it is to meet not only someone in the medical field but a human being that takes such amazing care of his patients as Dr. Engler. His personal attention and passion for his craft is awe-inspiring. Not to mention, his sense of humor helped us "weather the storm." Literally. When I was 18 my sister had undergone a procedure with Dr. Engler. After seeing her amazing results and experience with him, I was intrigued and so I picked up Dr. E’s book. It was while reading Dr.Engler’s book that I discovered that my asymmetrical breast was a genetic condition that could be fixed. I had always felt ashamed of my breast but seeing that there was hope gave me a sense of relief and excitement. However, the more I read and the more research I did, the more questions I had. So I took the next step and went for a consultation. My consultation went very well; he answered all my questions and made me feel very comfortable. However, at that time I did not feel ready to make such an important life changing decision. During the six years that it took me to finally make my decision, my mother also sought out Dr.Engler for her procedure. Of course she was thrilled with her results! My mom and I researched various doctors in the Northeast and we scheduled a few consultations. Because I was coming in from out of town and had very specific requirements for the timing of the surgery, scheduling was tricky but everyone in the office was very helpful. Bottom line, Dr. Engler’s staff is not only accommodating, but they are also some of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever encountered. Now to Dr. Engler…he was so nice and professional. For my consultation he discussed my options, answered all my questions, was up front and honest and made me feel 100% comfortable. I saw him for my consultation, the day before my surgery, obviously the day of my surgery, the week after, three weeks after and will be seeing him 3 months after and yearly for life. All of these visits are included with the surgery fee. I enjoy seeing him every time and my results get better everyday. He is worth the trip to NYC without a doubt and is very reasonably priced considering he is such an incredible doctor. With the horror stories of plastic surgery, you have to chose the right doctor and his price is all inclusive; one time payment and you see him for all the immediate post-op visits and yearly for check-ups. Not only was getting implants one of the best decisions of my life, but choosing Dr. Engler was an even better choice.

I researched online to see what my options are, and I came upon Dr. Engler after researching online and reading other patients’ reviews for some scar revision surgeries he had performed. So I decided to book a consultation and had the surgeries done. Here’s what I loved about the place: (i) the environment there- every person in his office is just so extremely friendly, welcoming and most importantly, caring. You really get a sense of their concern and respect for you as a patient. No arrogance or attitude that I’ve encountered at some other places. They take their time to engage you and answer your questions. (ii) I felt very safe and reassured with Dr. Engler. This is a combination of how genuine and honest he is, how he talks and interacts with you, and his concern for what you as the patient wants. He possesses one of the best bedside manners I have ever countered period. (iii) RESULTS. I am sooo happy with how my surgeries turned out- my scars are flat and there is a significant reduction in size and redness. I no longer feel the need to cover up my scars. When I went to see Dr. Engler It was my first time doing anything like this and I wasn't sure what to expect. He and I met for a consultation to discuss my treatment options. I chose Dr. Engler from my research on the internet. I began my search on the internet but all my friends advised me against it and only to schedule appts. through recommendations from friends and associates. Following their advice, I made two appts. with surgeons. In both cases my instinct screamed: "NO"! I have learned to follow my instinct. Therefore, I returned to the internet and spent hours in search of the right surgeon. Finally in the end, I had narrowed it down to two surgeons with Dr. Engler being on the top of the list. Shortly after my decision, I called Dr. Engler's office for an appt. From the answering of that phone call to my several office visits, the comments written about the office staffs' warmth and efficiency were certainly true, Within a few days I finally met Dr.Engler. Again, the positive comments about his warmth, humor and engaging personality were apparent. After evaluating my condition, he stated that while there were no guarantees, he felt confident that he could do the job for which I would be pleased. This time my instinct said "YES" and the next day I called to make another appt for further evaluation, followed by a date for surgery. In this appt Dr.Engler said that I would be given a local anesthesia but it would be administered through an anesthesiologist. Of course I realized this would raise the cost another $2,000 but I also felt this was a safety procedure that was important. He also said to me in this meeting that for the first two days after surgery I would not like him very much because of the discomfort I would be experiencing. I of course said: "Oh,I doubt that." To which he responded: " I will remind you of those words." And we both then laughed. The appt for surgery was then made.

I love, love, love this man! I went to Dr. Engler for an upper bleph. At the same time, I asked him about a lower bleph, and he said I didn’t need it. I always consider that a good sign. If a doctor is actually talking you *out* of procedures, you know he’s not in the business just to suck as much money out of you as he can. He actually cares about his patients. So before meeting with Dr. Engler, I met with another plastic surgeon. There were at least four beautiful women behind the receptionist desk. The waiting room was huge. Once I sat down, someone came over and asked me if I wanted a cappuccino. Finally they sent me to an exam room, and after awhile, the doctor came in. He didn’t even sit down. He stood there looking like he’d rather be someplace else, examined me for about three minutes and left. He never even asked me if I had any questions. So then his assistant took me into another room and talked to me about the cost. She also tried to talk me into getting a facial from their esthetician while I was there. Anyway, the price for the surgery was at the top of the range. I had a feeling I was paying for more than just the surgery. That was one expensive cappuccino.

he's the best. Almost every woman who has undergone a breast reduction raves that it’s the best thing she’s ever done. I wholeheartedly agree and will add that every woman seeking this surgery must go to Dr. Engler. Finding the right surgeon felt like a tall task when I first began my search. I scoured the Internet looking at pre and post op photos and spent time cross-referencing them with their respective surgeons and different techniques. After meeting with a few and narrowing down my list, Dr. E was as the obvious choice. It was sort of like selecting where to go to college or deciding between jobs because I was looking for something beyond what you can see on paper. I wanted my gut feeling to tell me “definitely yes”. Dr. Engler is warm, professional, fun to be around, and (most importantly) an absolute master in his field. I remember leaving his office after my consultation and texting my mom, “he’s THA best,” and I hadn’t even had the surgery yet. I was impressed that he listened to me and addressed my questions, fears, concerns, hopes, and dreams. He explained the procedure in detail and involved me in a real dialogue (where others had thrown out ambiguous terms and numbers at me without explanation … and then left an office assistant to deal with me.) Dr. E approaches surgery as an art form and what made me so happy was that his recommendation was unique to me and my proportions and shape, while also taking into account my notions about the way I’d like to look post op. He has the perfect balance of warmth and respect that in turn gave me complete confidence in the surgery. That being said I decided to have a breast augmentation. After seeing Dr. Engler on the Ricki Lake show I knew I had to meet him. I was not disappointed at all. This man is awesome! Besides his one of a kind bedside manner, he was extremely professional, listened to my concerns and together we came up with a plan to address them. I love that he operates right there in his office which makes the whole experience very convenient, and as a patient much more comfortable than going to a hospital. Ten years and three kids later, my body has changed and so have my concerns. Based on my initial surgical experience I would have returned to him anyway but after referring multiple women to him over the years, we all agree that his work is phenomenal. So back to Dr. Engler I went. He remembered me immediately, and we joked and laughed as if we were close friends. You can't put a price on a Doctor like that. Elective cosmetic surgery can be a scary thing to decide to do but not with Dr. E. From consultation to recovery he and his staff were there to make sure I was completely informed, as well as taken care of before, during and after my procedures. Most importantly, the results are - once again, and ten years later - amazing and I couldn't be happier! So, if you are considering having some work done look no further. I guarantee once you sit down for a consultation with him, you will feel completely at ease and ready to take the next step towards a more beautiful you!

Exceeded my expectations. I was referred by a friend. During the week leading up to my first post operative visit Dr. Engler called me so much, I began to believe he had nothing else better to do :-) Needless to say I felt cared for and what a great call on the size! It is exactly three weeks post procedure and I look and feel amazing.This is one of the best investments I have made for myself. I'm 100% satisfied with the procedure overall and very impressed with Dr. Engler. I would do it again in a heartbeat!

I'm usually not one to write reviews but I feel so strongly about my beyond-excellent experience with Dr. E that I just had to write this one. That, combined with Dr. E's warm and genuine demeanor convinced me that I just had to meet him. After doing the necessary research, I was even further convinced by Dr. E's exemplary surgical record and career. At our first meeting, Dr. E took the time to answer all my questions and concerns honestly. He thoroughly explained all the options in a way that I could understand. I'm extremely nervous about surgery and Dr. E was completely understanding and walked me through every aspect of the surgery in detail until I felt comfortable. I never felt like I was being rushed in and out of the office by either Dr. E or his staff. His staff has always been very sweet and welcoming. After my surgery, Dr. E gave my mom his personal cell phone number and told her to call any time day or night if there were any issues. My mom and I were shocked. Neither of us have ever known a doctor to do that. I was so scared, but Dr. E and his staff took care of me as if I were their only patient. I now need to have my wisdom teeth surgically removed and I wish Dr. E could be the one to do it! If I ever have cosmetic surgery again, there's not a chance I would go to anyone else. When I see him for annual checkups, he always remembers me and my mother and he always asks how she's doing. Everyone in the office treats me like a friend. I've told all my friends and family: if you want cosmetic surgery, Dr. E is the guy to go to. Grateful doesn't even begin to describe how I feel about Dr. E. He gave me the look and the confidence I had always dreamed of. I can't stress enough that Dr. E is THE surgeon to go to.

I would highly recommend Dr. E to anyone! He is a doctor that you can feel safe about going to. I’m so happy with my results and my only regret is that I didn’t go to him sooner. If you’re on the fence about getting a procedure done because you are worried about how it will come out or will be treated, then you should really see Dr. E. You will be so happy you did! If I decide to ever get any additional procedures, I would definitely stay with Dr. E!

The search for a Dr. with a great reputation and the results to back it up can be a nightmare. Appointment after appointment and I still was not satisfied with what I was being sold. Dr. Alan Engler is very highly rated on the online sites so I was not hesitant about scheduling an appointment to meet him. The first time I met Dr. Engler and his extremely professional staff I was greeted with such kindness and respect that I forgot I was in the office regarding a surgery. He was very honest, and he explained everything to me in great detail regarding the actual surgery, the recovery process and what to expect in the long run. What also separated Dr. Engler from the half dozen other surgeons I had visited through the five boroughs was his results. Seven years ago Dr. Engler did my rhinoplasty. I was extremely pleased with both the result, which is so natural that no one can believe it was “done,” and the process. He is a gifted surgeon who is friendly, honest, and very realistic in terms of what can and cannot be done. And his staff is wonderful. So when I decided recently to undergo breast enlargement it was clear that I would contact him again, and I am very happy to be able to report that I’ve had the same experience. He gave me exactly what I wanted; a natural, believable result. I was sore for a few days but nothing bad at all, and now I look great, both in and out of clothes. Once again, no one knows what I had done – unless I want them to. And he and his staff have been wonderful. I couldn’t be happier with, once again, both the result and the entire process. I don’t plan to do anything else anytime soon…but in case I change my mind, I know who I’ll call.

I had breast augmentation surgery done with Dr. Engler and it was really just a wonderful experience. I first learned about Dr. Engler when he was featured on the Tyra Banks Show. Right after seeing the show I immediately thought he was the one and made a consultation with him the very next day. I was very nervous, but the consultation itself turned out to be quite pleasant actually. He was just so friendly and sweet and just so easy to talk to. I really didn't have a hard time feeling comfortable and at ease with him. Dr. Engler took his time to answer all my questions and clear up any worries or fears that I had at the time. He was very informative and explained to me in detail everything that I needed to know about the procedure I was to undergo. By the end of the consultation, I had a very good feeling about the whole thing. I was reassured that breast augmentation surgery was right for me! Dr. Engler made the recovery process after the surgery so much easier for me as well. He was there for me the whole time, gave me his personal cell phone number and would even call to check up on me! How cool is that? I thought I had a speedy recovery and healed quite well thanks to his exceptional care and above average services. I had been contemplating a breast augmentation for several years and had finally decided it was going to either be this year or I'd drop the idea all together, all depending on if I found the right surgeon. I had visited several different doctors in the NY/NJ area over the past 3 years but never was a 100% sure on whether to move forward. I had heard of Dr. Engler through several reccomendations and decided to schedule my consultation with him. We spoke about several issues and he made me feel very confident I would have the results I was looking for while not making me feel pressured. He took his time answering all my questions honestly and I just felt this was finally the doctor I was going to chose to move forward. The staff is great and very personable. I am 1 week post op and am extremely happy with the level of service and care Dr. Engler and his crew were able to provide to me. He checked on me every day, several times a day and was open to me contacting him whenever I needed. My results are exactly what I was looking for as far as my concern to keep them as natural looking as possible. Although I am still healing they already look amazing and as if I was born with this shape! I'm excited to see the final results over the next few months as my new breasts settle completely to my body. I don’t even know where to begin. My journey of finding the perfect doctor to perform my breast augmentation was a very long one. Having a premed background, working with many different doctors, and hoping to one day become a doctor myself, I knew finding just the right doctor would be a difficult task. I, nevertheless, ventured into the offices of countless "New York Number One Plastic Surgeons", leaving uncertain about which doctor to trust. Many doctors were quick to talk about finances and some doctors seemed eager to retire. But, I knew during the first consultation with Dr. Engler that he would be performing my procedure. His warmth and pleasant forth coming made me feel very comfortable. His staff as well made a very good impression on me, they all work extremely hard to make sure you're comfortable. The surgery went extremely well, and I am Ecstatic about my results!! I am so thankful Dr. Engler lived up to my expectations. He was wonderful through out the entire process. Dr. Engler took extremely good care of me. He treated me as a friend and not a patient. He called everyday after the procedure, checking up on me and guiding me through what I was about to experience. He is very honest, and I am extremely happy I had this procedure with him! This was my first experience with plastic surgery and I am extremely lucky to have met Dr.Engler. One advice I would like give to all women considering any kind of cosmetic procedures – choose your doctor wisely! First of all I wanted to thank people who write reviews – if not for you we would be limited to personal experience and recommendations of friends, and when it comes to plastic surgery quite often you don’t even know where to start. I started with extensive research on the subject (lower lid surgery) and reading about people’s experiences really helped to make up my mind. As many online sources are suggesting, I scheduled appointments with top 3 plastic surgeons of my choice: 2 of them we recommended by friends and Dr. Engler I found myself, following the leads of many glorious reviews and impressive body of work. I will omit describing my meetings with 2 other doctors. The only thing I want to say is that please don’t be fooled by pompous Madison avenue offices furnished with antiques – at the end it will only reflects on your bill. What I was looking for was a personal connection with the doctor, level of trust in his skills and certainty that he would only do what’s best for me, not what’s best for the profitability of his business. And I should say I found it all in Dr.Engler. Very professional yet warm and friendly, he responded to my email within minutes, and next day I called his office to make an appointment.
