Brown dots on legs - advice? (photo)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hello, Keratosis Pilaris aka Strawberry legs is very common. 40% of adults worldwide have this condition. The best thing to do in order to minimize the appearance of it is through exfoliating and a deep moisturizer continuously.

Hello, Radiesse for a Non surgical rhino normally last about 18 months. We advise patients to do a touch up between 12 months to 16 months to keep the aesthetic appearance.

Hi,

thanks for your question.

Bell's Palsy is a condition in which the muscles on one side of the face become weak or paralyzed, after some kind of trauma to the seventh cranial nerve ( facial nerve).

Ultrasound energy delivered by ULTHERA has not been evaluated in patient populations with Bell's Palsy so there are no specific contraindications about it.

However, it's been proved that Ultherapy can cause sensory changes for the first several weeks. These include a tingling feeling and feeling of numbness that usually resolve within the first month.

My main suggestion would be to visit a Board Certified Specialist to discuss about the best options for you.

Feel free to contact us anytime.

Best of luck.

Hi,

thanks for your question.

I would need to examine in you person to be able to give you a proper medical advice.

When it comes to under eyes, it's usually a combination of genetics, shadowing, volume loss, as well as pigmentary changes to the skin.

First of all, are you suffering from any allergies, even seasonal ones? I'd suggest you to undergo a proper medical check-up before doing any cosmetic procedures.

According to your pictures, it looks more like an inflammatory discoloration and swelling more than an aging process.

A filler is not the right indication for you, since it's not a volume loss.

Topical draining products, others that will help lighten the skin, light chemical peels and light-based treatments such as Intense Pulse Light can also be helpful.

Feel free to contact us anytime.

Hope this can help.

Hi,

It's difficult  to tell you exactly what's the cause, unless I see you in person.

Often times the reason for bags under the eyes is related to bone structure and volume loss, this could be your situation even if you are still very young.

A skilled oculoplastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon with experience treating the eye area can often get excellent results with injectable fillers, especially at an early stage like yours.

The results can be long-lasting and improve not just the appearance of the bags but also other subtle signs of aging of the face.

Light chemical peels and light-based treatments such as Intense Pulse Light can also be hepful for treating dark circles.  Seek out an Oculoplastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetic medicine to find out all your options.

Best of luck.

Hi,

there is very little data available on the safety of Botox use during Breastfeeding but pregnant and nursing women are strongly encouraged to avoid it.

In your situation, since you stopped and only if you are sure you are not breast feeding your child anymore, you can safely be back to get it.

Please just make sure to be treated by a proper Board Certified Specialist.

Feel free to call or come visit us anytime.

Hope this can help.

Hi,

first of all you'd need a proper medical in-office consultation, from your picture no real professional advice can be given.

Generally speaking, CoolSculpting is not recommended to treat on or around a hernia. The device has a proven 20-25% fat reduction of the fat layer contained in the tissue that is able to be drawn into the applicator, the 'pinchable' fat layers, so the most superficial ones.

A hernia occurs when part of an internal structure bulges through a weakened area of the body cavity. The causes are a combination of structural weakness (both hereditary or secondary) and increased pressure (such as heavy lifting, straining, etc.)

Coolscultping may cause increased pressure in the abdomen area, causing new hernia formation or exacerbate pre-existing hernia, which may require surgical repair.

Therefore, I would not recommended it at all.

Hope this can help.

Best of luck.

Hi,

thanks for your question.

Since what you are experiencing it's a combination of a post-traumatic loss of volume and scar tissue retraction, I'd be really careful in just adding a filler on that area.

My very first advice is to arrange a proper consultation with a Facial Plastic Surgeon or with someone with lots of experience on that.

Therapeutical options are : scar revision (under local anesthesia), superficial microneedling (to even the scar tissue and the retractive fibers), PRP injections (to stimulate your own tissue regrowth and to improve the outcome of the scar itself) and at the very end a filler could help to balance the loss of volume, but done by a Board Specialist using the right product and who knows properly the anatomy of the face and of the lips.

Feel free to contact us anytime.

Best of luck.

What can I do about my neck lines? (Photos)

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi,

Thanks for your question.

First of all those lines are quite normal and, since you did already a good job, now mainly connected to a wrong posture.

As a prevention, try to reduce your head and chin dropping, especially during your sleep, try to keep your neck stretched.

Sunscreen is very important too, it prevents them to become deeper with the aging.

After a proper consultation, a combination of treatments could help: specific hyaluronic acid (we have available in our office Restylane, Juvederm, Radiesse, and many other options)

PRP sessions (Platelet Rich- Plasma), Radiofrequency lasers to stimulate collagen production and tightening of the skin are very effective as well.

For more information about all these treatments you can call us anytime.

Best of luck.

Hi,

thanks for your question.

First of all I'd recommend you to consult your surgeon to discuss about it. This is very common after a breast-reconstructive surgery.

Devices like Coolscultping and Thermage are created to melt down the fat and to tighten the skin, so not helping your lymphatic drainage.

In my experience, what is helping the most are manual lymphatic drainage, multi-layer compression bandaging, skin care and Pressotherapy sessions.

Hope this can help.

Best of luck.

Age 52, 1 month post Botox - look natural and improved

In 2014 I had blepharoplasty performed by Dr. Joseph Eviatar, in addition he removed a visible green vein from under my left eye, as well as some minor touch ups. It was the best experience ever!!! It’s now 2022 and I’ve been seeing him periodically for a little-something here and there ever since. He’s amazing! His skills are impeccable and his bedside manor the best!. He understands the aesthetics of the face, the process of aging, and how to bring symmetry to your face. You always come out looking natural and improved! Yourself but better!!!I’m now 52 and hope to be with him for life! L.

Happy with two upper blepharoplasty - very natural look

Dr. Eviatar had done my previous upper blepharoplasty approximately 9 years ago. When I felt it was needed again, I looked into many other local drs only because I was unable to locate him. When I was finally able to track him down knowing what to expect from Dr. Evitar I knew he was the best choice and decided to have him do my surgery again. Dr. Eviatar is an artist. He truly is a protectionist. He takes his time to make sure you understand the terminology and reasoning behind his approach. He is a firm believer in less is more. If you are looking for a more natural look then I highly recommend Dr. Eviatar. His office is clean,a great bedside manner, and has a wonderful friendly accommodating staff.

Dry Eye Treatment

I am seeing Dr. Eviatar for Dry Eye Syndrome where he is on the cutting edge using Thermismooth and IPL treatments to stimulate the meibomian glands. Everyone I saw there was great, but it did take a while to see Dr. E himself. The treatment was easy and it's only been a week, but I'm seeing some improvement for sure. Considering that my eyes have hurt non-stop for over 6 months and I've tried a whole host of treatments, it's pretty incredible!

Look your best!

I went to see Dr. E when I was nearing 50 in the hopes of slowing down the aging process. By the time I turned 50 I looked better than ever! My skin looked smooth and youthful and no one could exactly tell that I had anything done just that I looked great. He and his staff are friendly, and know exactly how to get you the results you want.

Excellent

Loss of volume to face because of HIV. The results were looked completely normal. Dr. does the injections himself, not a nurse or other tech. The office I very well run and everyone, if you have a question they know where to send you. The wait time is minimal, every time I've shown up early the take me right in, they don't make me wait until my scheduled time.
