Over time I noticed how my forehead glabella was photographed in pictures. I got tired of seeing the 11s on every social media post and opted for Botox in my forehead, glabella, and eyes. I have been pulling at my skin to see a better jawline in the mirror for a few years. It was time to take action. I read a great deal of reviews on Realself and finally decided on a SMAS minilift. I also found Dr. Jafri Kamran from Realself. I googled him and watched his videos on Youtube. Check it out if you are interested. The procedure was around two hours and I did not feel any pain. Very much like going to a dentist for a more extensive procedure. I was able to shower after 24 hours. I took the antibiotic but did not bother with the pain medication, not even Tylenol. Dr. Kamran is a double board certified surgeon (ENT and facial plastic surgery). He is also a professor at NYU medical school. I asked him why he does not charge like other NYC doctors for the same procedure. He stated that he does not rely on plastic surgeries for a living. He enjoys working both as a ENT doctor and a plastic surgeon. He has a kind demeanor and answered all my questions. The recovery took about 10 days. In two weeks I have only minor swelling. I am now almost one month out and am loving what I see in the mirror. The result is rather natural looking and my nasolabial lines are greatly diminished. He also took out the bit of fat that was lodged at the right corner of my mouth. My neck is tighter. My jawline smooth. My scars next to the ears are fading fast and healing well. I am very grateful to Dr. Kamran.

I was wary at first to have surgery with a new doctor, as i had a couple of cosmetic procedures in the past with a trusted doctor for many years. However, Dr. Jafri made me feel comfortable right away, and as he spent ample time with me to understand what my cosmetic concerns were, i became more and more confident that i found the right doctor for me. I was right. Not only did he alleviate any fears i had, he worked around my unique schedule ( i work nights) to make sure the surgery was at a convenient, stress-free time of day for me. most surgeons only do surgery in the early mornings. His energy and talent does not have a time constraint! I had the surgery with minimal discomfort, with local anesthetia. It was a relaxing, pain-free experience. MOST IMPORTANTLY, I love the results! My biggest fear was that I would look "done" ... The fear was baseless. The face I saw staring back at me in the mirror was a younger version of my "old"self. It was the same face without the extra skin that was warping it's natural contours. I looked MORE like my natural self than i did before, minus the extraneous skin and wrinkles. I felt comfortable going out in public after two weeks. And, throughout the whole process, including the weeks after the surgery, Dr. jafri called regularly, making sure i was ok and healing properly. If you choose Dr. jafri, you will be in a good, honest man's talented hands....i found my new personal cosmetic guru...thank you, Dr. jafri!!

I am so happy that I found Dr. Kamran Jafri. I am 54 with good genes, have a firm looking body and young in body and mind. I have always said that before any signs of aging and jowls sets in I would do a mini facelift so that my face appears natural. I decided to do the procedure before 55 and this was the best investment that I have ever made. I was only going to be in NY for one week and Dr. Jafri took good care of me and my friend who always did the same facelift. Doing any kind of facelift can make one very nervous as the outcome may not be what one expects. On meeting Dr Jafri, all my nervousness and apprehensions were removed. Dr Jafri has the perfect bedside manners with his patients as he made me feel comfortable, relaxed and actually impatient to have the procedure done. His assistant Tracy was wonderful and made you feel at ease. Together they made the perfect team. Dr Jafri used local anaesthetic and I felt no pain. The procedure was approximately one and half hr. Dr. Jafri post op care was excellent as he made sure everything was going well. He answered all my questions. It took approximately 1 month for me to show my new look. It is now 4 1/2 months since the procedure and it gets better as time go by. I wanted to look 10 years younger but I got more than I bargained for. A good friend who knew me for 35 years said that I look just like I did when I was 30 yrs old. (He did not know about the facelift.) I was so happy because almost everyone I talked to since the surgery asked me why am I looking so good, what have I done? I told them that I took a much needed vacation, relaxed and got rid of my stress (my husband-we just got a divorce). I was just happy to knock off 10 years but I look more than 20 years younger. Now I am going to join the gym, lift weights to firm up my bod and finally enjoy life. For all this I thank Dr Jafri as he did such a great job I have no regrets. I plan on seeing him on more occasions to fine tune my body before gravity takes action. I hope to see him next for a mini eyelid lift in 3 years or maybe sooner if gravity starts to take effect. I highly recommend DrJafri, I have been his patient for 5 plus yrs. He is very professional & caring. My neck was saggy... I am a 38 y/o man and have trouble breathing my entire life, as most I just lived through the difficulties of normal breathing ... I went to doctors before in the past and some have suggested I look into surgery, I just brushed it off lack of the unknown and fear , but until this year when my breathing and my ability to function normally in my everyday life and work . He told me the steps I had to take and gave me some very simple and pain less tests that I had to go through before we could book my surgery ... within one month all my testing was done my surgery was scheduled and I was in the O.R. ... dr jafri made me feel extreamly comfortable and at ease and his confidence poored from him , he has amazing bed side manner and made me feel that I did not have to have a worry in the world and that not only would I be ok durning all of this and the surgery but my outcome would be very promising. after surgery dr jafri meet with my girlfriend and explained just how much worse I was then we all thought and amazed how I lived like this for this long with this . dr jafri without hesitation did what ever he had to do while I was in surgery to assure I live a " normal and breath freely life " so far it has been a week and my recovery is amazing and with dr jafri always there for me day or night and with his step by step directions to my recovery I have been doing great. today was my second post op visit with dr jafri and now that all my packing is out I can actually breath through my nose and what an amazing feeling it is ... I know I have a road still to recovery but I have the confidence that I will be soo much better off then before . I am so great full that I was referred to dr jafri, and he has changed my life " literally " I look forward to working with him for the rest of my recovery and as well refer many of my friends and love ones to him in the future .

I recently had a mini lift 6 months ago, and I was blown away with how non evasive the quick turnaround time for the healing process and the overall out come. I interviewed at least a dozen doctors in regards to my thin face that decided to move forward. I turned 45 last year and feel pretty lucky that I have good genes and I don't smoke and am careful about sun exposure. He was very, very pleasant and patient and unlike my other consults he wasn't pushing things on me. I felt like I was being heard and talked with instead of talked at. I had a mini lift with Dr. Jafri in May 2012 and I couldn't be happier with my decision! I look natural and feel so very confident about myself. Even friends who thought I was being too picky about my jowls have complimented me on my decision. I have even sent 2 of them to Dr. Jafri and they were equally happy. As a side note his pricing was incredibly fair compared to other docs I consulted with. His assistant told me that he has a very busy ENT practice as well and that's why he doesn't overcharge his cosmetic patients. Plus when you meet him you can just tell he's not a greedy doctor. I sincerely cannot recommend him enough!

I've actually had a few procedures with Dr. Jafri over the past few years (Restylane, Botox and fat transfer). He came highly recommended and I feel very lucky to have found someone so reliable. Having a skilled surgeon, with real expertise of facial anatomy, do injections makes ALL the difference in the world. The doctor calmly explains options and the upcoming procedure and keeps you in the loop throughout the process. I've heard various horror stories about awful recoveries but in my personal experience with Dr. Jafri, I've been able to walk out the door looking great immediately after injections. Also has a great nurse to boot! I wouldn't go anywhere else for any procedure.
