I just had my procedure. I went through the doctor that has done my breast implants as well as my fillers in my cheeks and my lips, and also does my Botox. He is highly reputable and my mom happens to be his office nurse, so I felt comfortable with him. I have had probably 4 sessions of juviderm over the past 2.5 years but my body metabolizes this too fast so I was always in need of more. My
Procedure was today. It started with the numbing, wasn't horrible, not comfortable but manageable. After I was numb he started the incision, I get a pinch so he added more lidocaine. After that it was just tugging and pulling, no pressure. My procedure took 25
Mins, he advised my mom I maybe more swollen and bruised due to having a tough time breaking through the old injection product and scar tissue. I'm home now, 2 hours post op. Pain is a 5/10, just took a pain pill about 20 mins ago, will update my progress

Today is day 3, I'm actually at work, I'm working a homecare case as a nurse so it's pretty laid back, no lifting, I'm wearing a mask. I'm still quite swollen, bruising is subsiding, except I have a blue mustache from a bruise but I think the arnica is helping that. Very little pain, only areas of pain are where my stitches are, and it's not continuous pain, I just notice it if I yawn or move my mouth a certain way. Will update day 2 and 3 pix

Swelling has gone down a lot, I have some bruising above my top lip, kind of like a mustache shadow. And also in the corners. Hoping they loosen up and don't feel so stiff much longer. I can't put my lips together like if I were blotting lipstick or Chapstick

Day 9, swelling came down nicely! I had originally thought that my bottom lip was looking curled out now, but it's coming back in like it used to be so I'm happy about that. I get my stitches out tomorrow. They also have softened up some, but don't quite feel totally natural yet. No more pain. Pain wasn't bad throughout though, at all. Just immediately post op that I probably could have prevented had I taken a pain pill before the procedure since the lidocaine wears off quick, but after that it's been very manageable.
