The best gift that I received in 2022 was a recommendation to consult with Dr. Berlet about my aging face. My daughter's wedding was approaching and I wanted to look and feel my best. My aging skin was bringing me down and I was prepared to "refresh" my looks, but this was my face so I needed to trust my surgeon. Dr. Berlet talked to me, listening to my concerns and offered a few suggestions. Ultimately we decided that a neck and facelift would give me the results that I was seeking. He and his staff went over the procedure, pre-op and post-op expectations, and made me feel informed and at ease. On the day of the procedure I was nervous and excited. Pam and Rosa prepped me and kept me calm. They are the best. I had been told that I would be awake during the procedure, and that definitely freaked me out, but I have to say once they gave me valium I started to feel calm and ready. The procedure itself was truly a walk in the park for me. The only discomfort that I really felt were the first one or two numbing needles. After that I spent the next couple of hours chatting, humming to the music, and laughing. Yes, laughing. While Pam and Rosa were rubbing my legs to keep me comfy and assisting Dr. Berlet, they were including me in their banter and I was completely at ease. When they sat me up and told me it was over I couldn't believe it, it was absolutely surreal. I am now 7 months post and I couldn't be happier. Just today I ran into an old co-worker who told me that I looked great and in my head I said 'thank you Dr. Berlet'. Dr. Berlet is sweet, warm, knowledgeable and kind. He is now my go to for any concern I may have. After all, I trusted him with my face and he didn't let me down.

Back in 2005 was the first time I saw Dr. Berlet. I was meeting with several plastic surgeons at the time to discuss areas for liposuction. Dr. B immediately made me feel at ease and I felt he had my best interests at heart. He wanted to be sure to set realistic expectations and wasn't looking for just another surgery. Fast forward to 2020, he was my first and only choice of providers when I was ready for fillers. Another outstanding outcome and I appreciated his conservative approach instead of just injecting me with what I thought I needed. While at that appointment, I consulted with him for an upper and lower bleph. At 53, the botox could only do so much and I wanted to look refreshed before it became too noticeable that I had "work" done. In November 2021, Dr. B performed the procedure and I couldn't be happier with the results. Friends who hadn't seen me were complementing my skin, my hair, that I looked well rested and like I was glowing. No one could pinpoint exactly what it was...but there was a subtle more youthful appearance to my face without being obvious. Dr. B is a master at his craft and I wouldn't trust anyone else. If you are looking for a refreshed look or a tweak to areas of concern that just don't budge with proper nutrition and exercise, look no further!

Time for the outside to match the inside. Getting to the 60's is fine. I eat right, exercise do all things in moderation and live a happy life. But all that doesn't take away jowls and wrinkles and droopy eyes. After consulting 3 well regarded Drs in my area, Dr Berlet was recommended to me by a friend who knows beauty. It's her profession and her obsession. She had her own eyes done by the Dr. She has clients that had facelifts with Dr. Berlet and she said every one one of them looked fantastic and natural. Upon meeting Dr.Berlet I knew immediately that he was my doctor. He's charming, ridiculously handsome, patient but most importantly he knows what he's doing. I had doubts naturally about messing around with my face. What if it came out worse or unnatural looking? He made those nagging thought disappear. He has a unique perspective because he's also architecturally trained. The ultimate decision maker was that he doesn't use general anesthesia but instead has the patient take valium by mouth and then when you're good and relaxed he gives local shots all over the face. It was truly painless. A few weeks before my scheduled date I met with Diane, one of his outstanding nurses and had a full preop discussion with her. She answered all my questions, gave me her cell phone number and also gave me rx's to fill and vitamins to begin taking. The day of surgery was kind of a blur (those valium make you pretty loopy) but I felt no discomfort. The face "bra" you need to wear afterwards is slightly uncomfortable but if that's the worst part, then ok. I only took one neurontin that night and tylenol the next 2 days for slight discomfort. I should mention that I woke up during the procedures and had a "conversation" with Dr Berlet and his wonderful staff who were in there holding my hand and reassuring me in the sweetest way possible. Recovery was easy. You probably will want to take at least a week or two off life to recover privately but I felt great about 3 days later. Didn't look so hot but felt wonderful. My advise to is follow all instructions given and stop drinking and smoking weeks prior to surgery for quickest recovery. Now I'm almost 2 months out and I can say it's been one of the very best gifts I've given myself. I look like me 2.0. Or to my less techy ladies I look nearly 20 years younger. I cannot complete this without raving about all the women (staff) in the office. They were absolutely instrumental in making this a wonderful experience. Every single one of these ladies is compassionate and delightful. If this is what you've been thinking about (I did daily for 5 years) don't hesitate. Go for a consult with him. You will be so happy you did. I am!! My only regret is waiting so long to do it.

I am 61 years old and have researched multiple surgeons before deciding on getting a facelift. On March 29 I had my facelift done by Dr. Berlett. So far I'm very excited about the results. The staff was great they answered all my questions. They gave me vitamins and supplements to take prior to my surgery. I didn't drink alcohol for two weeks and made sure my diet was healthy. Here are some pictures so far. Updated on 31 Mar 2022: I was instructed to eat a good breakfast and arrived at 8:30 and was given 25 mg of Valium to take. About 30 minutes later they took me in and I received local anesthesia. The only thing that hurt were numbing injections. The was no other pain during the procedure. I had liposuction under my chin besides the lift. At noon I was on my way home. Still pretty loopy but had some pastina for lunch, first dose of prednisone and antibiotic. Took 2 gabapentin and went to sleep. WARNING: I should have also taken 2 Tylenol because I woke up an hour later in pretty bad pain under my chin where the numbness started wearing off. Once hat kicked in pain level was down to a 3-4. Updated on 31 Mar 2022: Went back to the office 830 the following morning to get the compression bandage removed.Pain is managed with Tylenol and gabapentin. Pain level about 3-4. Cruising minimal swelling minimal. Ecstatic with the results so far. Berlett and the staff are really awesome. By the way I also had some juvederm around my lip line during the facelift procedure. Updated on 31 Mar 2022: Showered today. Must wear the sling and keep from turning my head till Monday. Must sleep with head raised at 45degree angle. Pain managed just with Tylenol today. Pain level a two. More active today . Cleaned a bit and took dog for a walk. (With sunglasses and hoodie of course). Updated on 2 Apr 2022: Today is Saturday and I’ve not taken any Tylenol since Thursday. It’s still difficult for me to open my mouth all the way because I’m still very swollen. I do have pain when I touch the area on the sides of my neck were there are internal stitches that are supposed to dissolve. My right ear is still pretty numb and I’m still pretty bruised. Otherwise I’m waiting to go on Monday to have the staples removed. I can turn my neck a little bit more than I did before. I may even venture out today with a turtleneck and scarf of course just to get out of the house. Updated on 7 Apr 2022: Still feeling mostly numb around the incisions but the numbness is starting to fade and I’m feeling some tingling and weird sensations that are sometimes painful. Still sleeping with my sling on at night and the bruising obviously has gotten worse as it’s moving lower down my neck. Still sleeping on my back with my head raised. Thank God for my adjustable mattress platform. Updated on 22 Apr 2022: Got my haircut feeling really positive about the results. Amazing that I can look this good less than three weeks after the procedure. I still have numbness and tingling and some spots around where the incisions were and some weird sensations as the feeling comes back slowly but surely. All is good getting a lot of compliments! I have been thin my whole life but after 2 children who were delivered by C-Section I was left with a sagging and huge bulging belly. I started exercising 6 days a week for a year with out seeing any results to my tummy I felt so defeated. I consulted with my OBGYN who said I had muscle separation because of my large pregnancies the only way I could fix it was plastic surgery. Before kids I was 115 pound and went up to almost 200 pounds with each pregnancy. After my last child I went back to 120 pounds but my skin and abdominal muscled never went back. I consulted with Dr. Berlet after my dermatologist recommended him to me, because she told me she had a tummy tuck and breast enhancement and how happy she was. I then decided to meet with Dr. Berlet after our consultation I knew he would be the best. I felt so comfortable i left without any question unanswered i felt completely prepared. I was excited. I decided to get the tummy tuck and my muscle tightened to correct the separation and also have my breast enhanced which I have wanted my whole life. My surgery went great! During recovery when I contacted his office with questions he would get right back to me and I never felt like I was asking a dumb question. My results were spectacular. Nothing less than superlatives can describe my experience with Dr. Berlet and his staff! As a breast cancer patient, I had completed a difficult surgery followed by chemo. Upon conclusion of my treatment, I decided to have a lower facelift to do something celebratory as well as psychologically therapeutic. As an RN, I consulted another RN whose practice is exclusively cosmetic, and she highly recommended Dr. Berlet. I couldn't have chosen better. With Dr. Berlet's good looks and extraordinary surgical skill, he would be justified in having a big ego. But he is modest, soft-spoken, and very compassionate. He performs his facelifts with only local injections and sedating oral medication, which allows for a quick recovery as well as a considerably reduced fee. The results were nothing short of amazing! I feel that I look at least 10 or more years younger. Dr. Berlet achieved a very natural look and I returned to work a week later with no visible scars or bruises. People remark that I look wonderful, and many assume it's my hairstyle (which I changed deliberately by taking off my wig post-chemo and revealing a pixie cut). They tell me that my short hair makes me look so much younger, but I know that the hairstyle has nothing to do with it. Dr. Berlet's outstanding surgical expertise took years off my appearance. Six years ago, at age 69 I consulted with Dr Berlett. At that time I was seeking advice regarding how to get my body to look as youthful as I felt on the inside.
