Going to Have Procedure in November, 2016 - Mexico, MX

Getting tummy tuck and liposuction in Guadalajara with Fernando Guerrero Santos. I have been researching for about a year now, and have decided this is the best place to go, however am very nervous. Does anyone have experience with this procedure in Guadalajara, and places to stay after for recovery Updated on 27 Dec 2016: I am finally posting pics. Of my results. I am more than satisfied with my results. It hasn't even been two months and I love what I see.

Juvederm For Lips | 24 Yr Old - Mexico

So I decided to make a separate review on this because it's a different doctor and has nothing to do with my BA or rhinoplasty lol. I had my lips done for the first time this morning. The doctor and the nurse/assistant were both very sweet. They explained what the filler does. They used Juvederm Ultra XC on me. It has lidocaine built in it, so you will feel the first prick in each section. But I SWEAR it does not hurt very much. The only time I winced a little was when he stuck the needle in the center of my lip. Your lips go numb very fast lol. It takes a couple of minutes for the doctor to do your whole lip. I only did my top lip. Afterwards, they showed me my lips and I wanted to laugh cause I couldn't believe how funny yet amazing they looked :) it is swollen for now, I think he said it takes a day or two to see your results. Which is why I am scheduled for another appointment on Wednesday to see if I want more. He only used half a syringe on me. That was only in my top lip. I am debating on whether I want the bottom one injected or not. It's already pretty full. *They do speak English perfectly here* and it is located in the best hospital in the city of Guadalajara. I was very impressed with it all. The whole area that this hospital is in rivals the best of American malls trust me lol. :) (I am from Houston, TX, I moved to Mexico almost two years ago.) Overall, I am so happy with the results already and I know it will get better. I will update in a couple of days to show you all how the swelling has gone down. And I will let you know if I decide to have more put in on Wed. *All photos are from the day of procedure xx Updated on 28 Aug 2015: I developed little bruises, which looked like lumps, a couple of hours after I got the filler put in. The are almost gone today :) I am very happy with my lips. I think I want the bottom done just a tad! To make them perfectly even, I don't want the top lip to be smaller. (Right now it's bigger lol I like that look) They have a little bit of soreness where the bruises are but I think by tomorrow I will feel 100% :) my husband loves my new lips. I feel like Lana Del Rey hahaha

Microdermabrasion

73 Years Young! - Mexico

I wish to express my sincere gratitude to Dr Guerrerosantos for the micro-dermabrasion procedure. This has made a tremendous difference to the appearance of my skin. No other treatment has been successful and I credit the results to the skill of Dr Guerrerosantos. The utmost attention and care were taken in the preparation for the procedure, which was preformed by hand for over 1.5 hours. The doctor was assisted by his nurse and his niece ( a GP) who were attentive and reassuring to me at all times. It is my belief that at 73 years young, it can be a challenge to undergo such a procedure. After 1.5 hours my lip was surgically taped and I was given a small mask to cover my mouth and chin. I was also given instructions to care for the upper lip area. After 4 days I returned to his office for an examination and after 7 days the tape peeled off to reveal smooth, pink skin. Dr Guerrerosantos was delighted with the results and I was absolutely thrilled! After 3 weeks I was able to wear makeup again. Dr Guerrerosantos is an exceptional plastic surgeon. He is skilled, honest, kind, caring, and extremely dedicated to his patients. I would highly recommend him to anyone who is considering any type of plastic surgery.

48 Years Old and Decided I Want a Facelift While I Am Healthy with a Good Elastic Skin - Mexico, MX

I am a Brazilian Canadian, I came from country where plastic surgery is popular among women. USA is the top country in cosmetic surgery followed by Brazil and Mexico. I just turned 49 years old and I am married to a man 8 years my junior. I always looked good for my age until 45 when I noticed my face matured very fast in the last 3 years. For my consternation last year an older lady asked if my husband, who looks younger for his age, was my son, well...after that I decided I want I facelift because I did not want to look like my husband's mother; however, my sweet husband tried to change my mind for he was concerned about my health and pos surgery complications. He said he would love me no matter how I looked like. Guess what!!! I did not listen ;) In the end of 2014 I started my journey to look for a PS here in Toronto, where I've been living for a year and I did not know any PS. After a few emails to Drs. I've met here in RealSelf, I figured out I just could not afford a Facelift neither here nor in the USA where my sister live. I thought about going to Brazil and have a surgery over there but Brazil is far from Toronto and if a FL revision was needed that would cost time and expensive air tickets to fly back to Brazil. Then I started reading in RealSelf about people that went to Mexico to have their PS and two Drs. caught my attention and one of them was Dr. Fernando Guerrerosantos from Guadalajara, Mexico. I've been to Mexico many times matter of fact I can speak a pretty decent Spanish. I contacted one of Dr. Guerrero FL patient, I've met here in RealSelf, and this patient in question gave me very positive feed back regarding Dr. Guerrero work and human being. Soon after my research regarding Dr. Fernando Guerrerosantos, I contact him, emailed him some photos and after looking my photos he said I would need a lower and up Blepharoplasty and a Lower SMAS lift which I completely agree with him. It took 3 months for me to reunite courage to go to Mexico alone, I did not want my husband to go with me. I arrived in Guadalajara in May 20 and May 21 after all pre surgery exams clearance, I was operated in a high standart hospital; I was impressed for the hospital stuff and organization were impeccable. My FL surgery took 5 hours after that I was driven by Jose a Mexican bilingual sweet man to Emma Galicia's B&B I stayed in Emma's for two weeks and could not be happier, I was very well taken care of and felt very safe while in their care. I could not be happier with my results as shown on my before and after pictures. Updated on 8 Aug 2015: and a facelift hurt! No pain no gain! A Thigh Lift for my 40th Birthday! - Guadalajara, Mexico

After getting a tummy tuck in 2014, I knew I would have to get other areas "fixed" after losing a third of my body weight. I was going to work on my arms next, but decided my thighs were the biggest priority after the bulges set off the security scanner at the airport! As I lose weight and tone, my thighs have gotten bigger and bigger in the front. I wear a faja every day to keep my thighs under control so I can wear my clothes. I haven't worn shorts since I lost weight. I was going to have the procedure done here in Atlanta or in Miami, but decided to go back to my surgeon in Guadalajara, Mexico. I want him to look at my abdomen since I still swell after intense workouts. I am nervous about the procedure but very excited. I am not looking for perfection, but improvement. I turn 40 the day before the procedure and I can't think of a better gift for myself. I am hoping the scars won't be so bad and that there is no seroma or labia distortion. Now that I can see my vagina (which I couldn't before the tummy tuck) I want it to stay perfect! My surgery is next week and I will keep you posted! Updated on 13 Aug 2015: My surgeon decided to do my surgery a day earlier than planned (on my actually birthday, august 11) and I said ok. It was late, probably after 7pm, but I'm out of the hospital and recovering. Making sure to keep the incisions dry and not stretching the wound is key. I also had him finish the lipo on my belly since my hemoglobin was too low to do it last time. He took 800 grams of fat and skin from each thigh! The scar is only 8 cm vertical... not easily seen if i am not naked or in a swimsuit and one in each groin area, SO much better than my puffed up thighs setting off security at the airport (yes.. that really happened!) I am achy and my vagina is super puffy but he says there won't be any permanent labia distortion I can;t wait to shower on sunday!! I was a 2xl garment the last time I saw him, and now a large. What a difference 18 months makes! I'll take pictures when I take the garment off. Updated on 14 Aug 2015: I can't wait until Sunday when I can take off my garment and shower!! I'm so swollen though, I might not be able to get the garment back on. My thighs feel twice as big as before but I know they will reduce. I'm still very happy I did this and can't wait to see the results :) Off to drink more water and eat more pineapple. Updated on 15 Aug 2015: Tomorrow I can shower! That also means I can take off my garment and see what I look like. The draining from my lipo has decreased greatly so yay. The swelling in my legs has decreased a bunch since Friday night. In the middle of sleeping, cramps woke me up (damn period!!) and I happened to feel smooth thighs. Omg that is amazing! My legs will always be big because of the muscle and I'm ok with that. I just needed them to not extend several inches away from my body with a giant bulge. One more day!! Updated on 16 Aug 2015: I still have a bit of swelling but it was awesome to meet my new thighs this morning :) I took off my garment to take a shower and couldn't stop staring. I have a bulge by my right knee which I hope goes away when the swelling decreases. The vertical scar is a bit longer than I thought but still so much better than before. Keeping dry is a challenge. I have s small hairdryer to help. Updated on 19 Aug 2015: I saw the doctor again today to hopefully have my drains removed and no dice. He says he will wait until Friday to be safe. I also have to return to Guadalajara in three weeks for stitches removal. I wasn't quite expecting that, but it's all good. Yesterday, I had the "why did I do this to myself?" talk and was a little down. Mostly because I am not sleeping as well as I'd like given my position in the bed and how often I have to get up to pee with all the water I have to drink. I am so worried all the time about damaging these sutures, opening my wounds and getting infections, it's causing me some anxiety. I am also having a little pain now, which I didn't before. Still, the doctor says I am where I should be at one week post operation. I think part of the problem is that I am bored as well. I don't have kickboxing or roller derby to distract me like I normally do, and everyone is too busy to FaceTime with me from the US. But .. enough of my pity party of one. I did this to improve my life and to not have my thighs cause a fire every time I walk :) Updated on 20 Aug 2015: I was sure it wasn't going to happen to me, but one of my wounds came undone. I'm heading to the doctor shortly. This happened in the time I saw him Wednesday at noon and Thursday at 9am. Sigh :( Updated on 21 Aug 2015: My drains are out but I had to have some more sutures put in place in a different area. Sigh! The plane ride home is going to be interesting for sure :( Updated on 30 Aug 2015: Sorry I have been MIA since returning from Mexico, but I have been a bit (well, more than a bit) bummed out. The vertical incision on my left thigh ruptured and it's too wide to be restitched. I'm not sure what I did to cause it to split, but it did. Now, I am seeing a plastic surgeon at home for wound care. He says it will take up to three months to heal, then I will have to decide if I want a scar revision. I return to Mexico in a couple of weeks to see my surgeon there and have the other stitches removed. I have one other spot that is coming undone. I am going to try Steri-Strips to keep it together. I am unhappy right now but do like the fact that my thighs no longer bulge several inches out to the front. I can't exercise until the open wound heals, and I have to say that is pretty scary for me. I worked hard to lose weight and fat and really don't want to gain any of it back. I am eating foods that promote wound healing in an effort to make it heal faster. I'll keep you all posted :) Thank you for all your kind and positive thoughts! They have been super appreciated :) Updated on 5 Sep 2015: This was taken the day after I returned to the U.S. and the incision opened. It looks a little better now. There is some blood which the surgeon says is a good thing because that means new tissue is forming. Still, it will be months before it closes. He said wounds like this heal 15% a week.

Breast Augmentation & Rhinoplasty - Guadalajara, Mexico

Hopefully my experience will help you. I'm 33 years old, I live in the Bay Area, which is very expensive for any cosmetic surgery. I were referred to Dr. Fernando Guerrero Santos, one of my cousins works in the same hospital, so he gave me the best comments about Dr. Fernando's work. Well i had the best experience with what I got done by a gifted and highly qualified Dr. Fernando. No doubt he is one of the best surgeons in Guadalajara. Dr. Fernando and his medical crew gave me security, support, their job is outstanding. I am very very happy with my results, my recovery was very fast, I were able to do everything by myself right after surgery. I know a lot of girls after Brest augmentation can't even do basic needs ( eat, shower, put on clothes) by themselves. I were able to do all this thing and more. I stopped pain medication after two days from surgery. Dr. Fernando and anesthesiologist were key in my recovery and how I felt afterwards. Yes I highly recommend Dr. Fernando Guerrero Santos for any cosmetic surgery. I feel very fortunate that I choose him as my surgeon, I couldn't be more happy with his work, Brest augmentation and rhinoplasty. Money wise he is worth a lot more than what he charged for his excellent work. Totally worth it.

Great Experience! Rhinoplasty in GDL Mexico

• Dr. Guerrerosantos is a very friendly, skillful, and professional surgeon. I’m very pleased that I did my research and chose him. He responded to my emails personally and promptly. • Dr. G is an artist who gave me a very subtle and natural look. It’s only been a month and I see an elegant and delicate change. I will comment again in 6 months, and then in a year. With this surgery, one must be patient because it transforms over time. I trust that when the swelling goes down it will appear shorter. • Dr. G will do what the patient asks for. Be as specific and clear as possible. He gives his opinion, but he is not arrogant, so in the end, he will do what you choose. (Example: I didn’t want my nose lifted, and he listened to me). • The doctor’s assistants, including Camila, Michele, and Marisol were amazing… very kind women… I already miss their presence. • Camila was available 24/7 on WhatsApp throughout the whole month I was in GDL (pre and post-surgery). She responded to all my questions and concerns in a prompt manner. She encouraged me as well, and normalized my surgery experience. She was a great support! • Beautiful high end hospital- Much better than Canadian hospitals! • Received a lot of attention and focus from all the doctors/nurses, as if I were the only patient that existed. • Had my own hospital room that felt like a hotel room. I stayed overnight and was monitored carefully. • No gas mask was given which was great. Instead, it was an IV sedative and local anaesthetic. Therefore, I woke up peacefully without being sick. I woke up feeling thirsty/dry mouth but that is normal. • Like any surgery, I was bruised and swollen. Like any surgery, it is not fun to heal and it takes time… but overall, I had a very positive experience with no regrets. • Great price! • I definitely recommend Dr. Guerrerosantos to those seeking a surgeon, and I would choose him again if needed! Good luck on your search!

$5,300SMAS Facelift

DallasTexasGuy

58 Y/O Male SMAS Facelift, Neck Lift, Upper and Lower Blepharoplasty, Earlobe Reduction and Fat Transplant - Guadalajara, Mexico

I set up my facelift, neck lift and blepharoplasty in November 2014 with Dr. Fernando Guerrerosantos to be done on Jan 13, 2014. I found Dr. Guerrerosantos by doing my research here on realself.com. I was happy with the other reviews I found here and my other research on him. I sent him current photos and some photos of me in my 40's and told him what I thought I needed done and what were his suggestions and the cost. He concurred that I needed a lower SMAS facelift, neck lift and blepharoplasty. He gave me a price of $5300.00 which would include his fees and the hospital charges at Puerto de Hierro Sur. The extras were the lab work and the cardiologist clearance which ended up costing around $125.00. Dr. Guerrerosantos said I would need to stay 14 days and put me in contact with Emma Galicia who runs a B&B and works with him to assist in you stay. I booked an 18 day stay with Emma at a cost of $60.00 per day for me and $20.00 per day for 5 days for a friend to accompany me. Total cost for the B&B was $1120.00. Emma provides 3 wonderful meals a day and speaks great english. Her husband Luis is from California and speaks perfect English also. Let me tell you, these are some wonderful people. You would be extremely happy with your stay with them. Dr. Guerrerosantos also put me in contact with a bilingual driver named Jose who picked me and my guest up at the airport and took us to the B&B. He drove like a turtle. Around 20 miles per hour with all the cars passing us up. He was setting us up for later when he wanted to charge us $15.00 to drive us. Long story short, he was trying to rip us off. He made me late for my appointment with Dr. Guerrerosantos and the doctor was not happy nor was I. Without going into the long story, I just suggest you us taxi's or Uber for transportation and stay away from Jose. I arrived on Sunday Jan 11th, 2015, had my initial consult with Dr. Guerrerosantos, the cardiologist and my lab work on Monday Jan 12th, 2015 and went to the hospital at 11 am Tuesday Jan 13th, 2015 for my surgery. Surgery took place around 2pm and took around 5 hours. I spent the night in the hospital and was released around 4 pm on Wednesday Jan 14th, 2015. When we got back to the B&B Emma had some great chicken soup and rice ready for our dinner. Today is Thursday Jan 15th, 2015. My surgery went well, not too much swelling that day, a little more swelling the next day and today I am really swollen. From my research this all appears normal and the swelling should go away pretty soon. Tomorrow I go to the doctors office to have the stitches removed from my eyes and then I go back on the 27th to have the stitches behind my ears removed. Then on the 28th I head back home. Too early to tell what the outcome will be, but, I think I am going to be pleased. Will updated later. Will post pics later. Updated on 16 Jan 2015: Today is day three after my surgery. I went to the doctors office today to have the stitches removed around my eyes. There is drooping on the right lower eyelid. It makes me very nervous. The doctor said it is called ectropion, it is self limited, which means it should resolve itself on its own. He says when I come back for a visit on Monday that if it is not resolved he will place a cast whatever that means. It's kind of giving me anxiety. Naturally I came for surgery because I want to look better not worse. I'm not able to post pictures because the pictures I have taken are on my phone and I'm not able to connect to the Wi-Fi from my phone for some reason. Sweet Emma is going to the pharmacy to get me something for anxiety. She continues to bring me wonderful meals every day. This is really where you should stay if you consider coming here for your surgery. You could not be in better hands than with Emma. My face is still extremely swollen so it's hard to tell what work is been done. I certainly don't look anything like myself and I am hoping that everything will resolve itself and I will just look like the younger me that I want to. The doctor still has me wrapped up like a mummy. He says on Monday he will reduce the amount of wrapping. I'm looking forward to that. Updated on 16 Jan 2015: Here are some photos of the apartment at Emma's B&B. As you can see it is a very nice apartment. Updated on 16 Jan 2015: Here are some pictures of me from when I was around 30 that I sent to Dr. Guerrosantos to see what I look like before Old Man Time did it's number on me. Of course I knew he was not going to be able to make me look 30 again that I wanted him to see what I looked like in my youth said he could get me back as close to that as he actually could. Also attached are the current photos that I sent to him to see what I look like now. Before surgery. Updated on 20 Jan 2015: Well today is day seven after surgery. I can say I was very stressed out the very first few days. Day five I was having the post plastic surgery blues wondering if I had made the right decision because I look so bad. But on day six so much swelling had gone down that I was able to see much improvement. That relieved a lot of my anxiety I was having. I went back on day six and the doctor removed the wrapping around my face and put on a neck garment. I keep that on 20 hours a day. I'm able to take it off 1 hour for breakfast lunch and dinner plus an hour for showering. Something interesting that I am learned is because my face was stretched back now part of my beard is on the inside of my ear and back behind my ear. I will have to have electrolysis to have that tidied up. For some reason that never even occurred to me. But it certainly makes sense now that I think about it. Most of the photos I have taken our on my cell phone and I can't upload them. But once I get back to Dallas I will upload plenty of photos to show my daily progress. I take pictures daily. I continue to enjoy the wonderful company of my hostess and the other guest who are here for plastic surgery also. Emma is a fantastic cook. So caring. She has a wonderful family. Her husband is very enjoyable and her children hurt extremely well mannered polite children. The children reflect the great parenting they are getting. Again if you come here to Guadalajara for plastic surgery this is definitely the place you should consider staying. So far I am pleased with the progress of my plastic surgery and I think at the end of eight weeks I will probably be really satisfied. I'm still concerned about the swelling around my eye which causes drooping. But I'm feeling like that's going to resolve itself. I certainly hope so. I'll update later. Updated on 20 Jan 2015: Here are a few current photos 7 days post surgery. I've had the stitches removed from my eyes. I get the stitches removed from the front of my ears tomorrow. But I don't get the stitches removed from behind my ears until the 14th day. Updated on 21 Jan 2015: Today is day eight post surgery. I went to the doctors office today and had the stitches removed under my chin where some fat reduction was done during the neck lift. Also the stitches in front of my ears were removed today.there is still some dripping on the right by due to swelling. Today I made arrangements to have my earlobes reduced tomorrow. Total cost for that will be $400 and it is in an office procedure. Updated on 21 Jan 2015: Here are a few updated photos. Updated on 22 Jan 2015: Today is the ninth day post surgery. Today I went to the doctors office and had my earlobes a reduced. It took about an hour. Cost $400. Was no pain. The air lobes were numbed prior. Updated on 23 Jan 2015: Today is the 10th day post surgery. I went to the doctors office and he took off the bandages around my ears. He says is going to remove the stitches behind my ears in three more days. Then I will be returning home in five more days. The swelling continues to dissipate every day. So far I'm very pleased. I'm sure I'm going to be happy with the results in a couple of months. Updated on 3 Feb 2015: Here I am 3 weeks exactly post surgery. I'm healing every day. Updated on 10 Mar 2015: Today is 8 weeks post surgery. I am mostly happy with the results but have some issues that I am waiting to see how they resolve before I rate as worth it or not worth it. If I end up needing more surgery to repair some issues then it will be a not worth it review. If everything resolves satisfactorily then it will be worth it. The issues I am having is that my left eye does not close all the way and it is creating excessive tearing and dry eye which burns and blurs my vision. Also there is bunching of skin at the temple areas on both sides right by the ears where the scars are. Also there is an indentation on my left check. From my research here on realself about these issues, it appears I will just have to give it more time to see if they resolve or if I will need revision surgery. I have to admit that even with those problems, I do feel I look better. Updated on 4 Apr 2015: Here are my official before and after pics. 8 weeks pistol surgery. Updated on 5 Apr 2015: Here us a link to a story on Mexican television Milenio about Dr. Guerrerosantos, patient Beverly and myself. The story starts at the 7:34 mark. Before that U.S. an unrelated story. http://tv.milenio.com/ajuste_de_notas/Ajuste-notas-Roberto-Lopez_3_460783926.html Updated on 9 Apr 2015: here are some pictures of the bunching I was talking about and the indentation in my left cheek. Updated on 3 Feb 2016: Well it's been one year since my surgery. Actually a little over a year. Surgery was on January 13th 2015. There was a problem with an indentation on the left cheek area and bunching skin at both temples. Dr Guerrerosantos said give it a year for everything to settle. Well the indentation is still there and so is the bunching skin at both temples. So I am returning to him on February 23rd for him to do some corrective surgery. I'm told that it's simple minor surgery that can be done in the office. He's going to take some fat from either my stomach area or inner thigh area and transplanted to the indentation area on the left cheek. I'm not sure how he is going to do the correction for the bunch and I will discuss that with him when I get there. I do have to admit that I look better then when I first started out but I am hopeful that once these issues are resolved I will be completely happy. He has told me he will do the corrections at no charge. I'm also having some dental implants done by a dentist while I'm there. I'll write a review on him also. Updated on 24 Feb 2016: I am back having my revision done. I went to Dr. Guerrerosantos office yesterday and he did the revision. He did it in office under local anesthesia . It took approximately two hours. The purpose was to remove the bunching around the temple area both sides, fill in the indentation on the left side with some of my fat and remove some of the fat in the lower part of my cheek on the left side under the lip area to make it balance and met the other side. Of course he was as charming as ever and wanted to make sure I was completely happy. I'm pretty positive that I will be but it's difficult to tell because my face is so swollen like it was the first time I had my facelift. It's only swollen on the left side though. It's only swollen on the left side though. Because that is where all the work was done except for the minor revision on the right temple. I'm all bandaged up like a mummy so it's hard to tell. I'm staying at Emma's B&B again. There is a pharmacy a few blocks from here so I walked over there to fill the prescriptions he gave me. I wore my big dark sunglasses. I looked a sight. People kept staring at me as I was walking down the street. I'm sure they were thinking what a si kept staring at me as I was walking down the street. I'm sure they were thinking what a sight. But I don't care. I don't know them and am never going to see them again. Also yesterday at 9 o'clock in the morning I had dental implants done. After that I went and had the plastic surgery revision done. So it was a full day. I have no pain in my face from that surgery. I didn't have any last time when I had the original surgery done. I am having pain in my gums from the dental implants but that will soon pass. I'll post some pictures later. Updated on 24 Feb 2016: Here are photos right after I left the doctors office and then the next day. Which is today. You can see I am pretty swollen today. But having gone through this before I know the swelling will go down pretty quickly. I'm looking forward to the final result. Updated on 25 Feb 2016: Here are some pics today's post revision. As you can see I have a lot of bruising where he removed the excess fat from my left cheek. Right now it looks to me like the bunching is still there but it's hard to tell if it will go away after the swelling goes down. I will have to wait and see. I am having more bruising than I did with the original surgery.
