Dr Ortiz has great bedside manners. Appreciate the time he took to answer my questions. Although it was a quick interaction, I didn't feel rushed. I also appreciated that he knew my history before speaking to me. I wasn't just the next one on the list.

I cannot say enough amazing things about my experience. From the moment I began this journey, every member of the team made me feel informed, safe, and genuinely cared for. My patient coordinator, Fernanda, was outstanding—always quick to respond, clear with information, and incredibly supportive. She gave me a sense of reassurance that meant everything going into surgery. Dr. Ortiz and Dr. Martinez were phenomenal—not only as surgeons but also as educators. They took the time to explain every step and made sure I felt confident and prepared. Their professionalism, warmth, and expertise truly stood out. The post-op and overnight care was exceptional. The nursing staff was compassionate, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable and well cared for through the night. I felt seen, heard, and respected at every moment. Even the kitchen staff played a part in making this experience special. It’s rare to find a team where every person, from medical to support staff, contributes to such a positive and uplifting environment. They made a potentially stressful process feel smooth, empowering, and even beautiful.

I had a fantastic experience with Dr. Ortiz and all of the staff at OCC! Their process is like a well oiled machine. Everyone is friendly and caring, the facilities are beautiful and immaculately clean, best care I’ve ever had compared to anything in the US or Canada! Would do it over again if making the choice again.

So great! Everyone was so nice, the experience was very streamlined, surgery was a breeze and I have felt better than expected after surgery! My experience with Dr Ortiz and OCC was amazing and was five-star service. From pick-up in San Diego to surgery and postop they are completely on top of it. The surgery center was better than anything I've been to in the US and the staff is amazingly supportive with wealth of information to share to make you successful.

My whole groups experience was perfect. They surgery center was immaculate. The staff was kind and knowledgeable. This is a fine oiled machine. I was completely terrified to go to Mexico to have my sleeve done but I had done 3 years of research on Dr. Ortiz and couldn't find a single negative thing on him. Every other doctor in the states and in Mexico I found things on. This man is the best in the world. My surgery took between 20-25 minutes and the next day I was at the mall getting my steps in. I still feel great 5 days later. I was the biggest baby about this surgery and the staff was so patient with me and some of them have had the surgery and it helped that you were talking to someone that could relate. I will be sharing with everyone my experience. This the was best discission of my life. If I had it all to do over again, I wouldn't change a thing.

I was a little nervous at first, but after researching the doctors and the facility, I knew I was in the right place. I cannot recommend them enough. The entire process was extremely professional and organized. I have had many surgeries and I can say by far this was the best experience I’ve ever had. Everyone was so nice and the facility was spotless. I would like to thank them for giving me my life back.

I had a wonderful experience Dr. Ortiz was above all my expectation he went above and beyond my surgery went well and what should of been 1.5hrs surgery was a 3hr surgery for me but Dr. Ortiz repaired My sleeve and I am so happy I am only 11 days post op and home recovering well the entire OCC team and Dr. Ortiz and Martinez thank you so much for all the per op care, surgery care and now the every day post op care is is above and beyond exceptional
