I’m 64 and have been considering doing the face lift for about 5 years. I finally did it. Of course it’s early early on and I’m swollen and black and blue but I can tell Already I’m going to be very happy with this! Dr Murphy went above and beyond. Took the lift way higher than he had planned (around the ears and up as high as my eyes in the hairline!) The pain has been minimal to me. Uncomfortable yes, painful not too. Sleeping is uncomfortable propped up and on my back. I bought a memory foam wedge pillow to help with that. I have only been taking half doses of my pain meds when needed. The second day was the worst. It was nice to have a shower after 48 hours And wash the crust out of my hair. I’m gonna dump a bunch of pics. Some are gross. But it doesn’t feel half as bad as it looks! I’ll update in time! Updated on 9 Jan 2024: 144 hours. Surgery last Wednesday. Day 6. Wow…even with the swelling and bruising I’m through the roof happy with the results so far. The pain is minimal now, except if I try to sleep on my side. The ears are definitely sore still. The staples don’t hurt. Sleeping is easy even though I’m propped up and in my back. Still wearing face compression bandage to minimize swelling. The sides of my face are very numb but that’s to be expected, the nerves heal over a period of months. I feel great! ???? (maybe a little tired lol) Updated on 9 Jan 2024: Here’s some before pics. This is why I decided to finally do the facelift. My husband and I have been married for 30 years but he’s 15 years younger than me. It’s made me self conscious for a while now. I got my consult with Dr. Murphy last March and finally pulled the trigger. Updated on 12 Jan 2024: Out and about running errands 9 days post surgery. Doing fine with teylenol and Advil. Can’t wait until I Un-bruise. Lol. I feel like I should still be in hiding but oh well ! I have one spot where it opened up when they took a staple out that I’m treating with bacitracin and my right earlobe is mad and swollen but not infected. Been peroxiding that and bacitracin too. Updated on 14 Jan 2024: 11 days post op. Bruising fading, incisions healing and crusty. Still need afternoon naps. Pain is minimal and only what I would describe as annoying. My face feels bruised and lumpy in places but I know that will heal. Updated on 20 Jan 2024: Still black and blue and swollen, scabbing is coming off. I failed to mention that I live at 7800’ altitude so I feel like my healing is slower than it should be. But I’m It sure. I’m gaining energy daily and put on makeup even. I’ve only been in two places. One to pick up lunch and the post office. I got weird looks from a few people. It totally looks like I got beat up.

I literally hate the gym and I want to look good again after 7 years of post pregnancy weight I am ready to move forward with my mmo pros I will have a flat stomach and bigger boobs which I've always wanted. Cons I'm it a big fan of having a scar hip to hip but as long as underwear and bikini bottoms cover I will be ok with that

Amazing! This guy is a perfectionist. I couldn't be happier. I had botched liposuction several years ago, and it looked like I had a bite taken out of my leg. Dr. Murphy was able to fix this with fat grafting from my stomach--which also looks good. He is incredibly detail-oriented and an all around nice person.

I'm day 6. And I am having troubles breathing. I hope this is swelling :( I had this done because my first procedure he used ear cartlidge. Well my tip was collapsing & I haven't been able to breathe at all for the last year. At my year follow up he thought taking rib, and projecting tip would make things right. I was okay for the first so many days. I felt stuffy. Then it would subside. But the last 2 days I'm so so so so stuffed almost BLOCKED in my right nostril. The one I had issues with always. Kinda panicking. Had a really bad day yesterday. Anxiety was THROUGH THE ROOF cause I couldn't breathe :(. Today I'm getting stitches out. BUT my dr is gone for 2 weeks. So I can't see him him he's back to talk about what's possibly going on. I just HOPE this worked :(( Updated on 20 Jun 2018: My rib is looking abnormal. It's protruding idk if I should be concerned? I'm still very congested :( more on my right side. And swollen. Not looking my nose right now from the front. I'm praying it's Just swelling :(. I can't go through this again Updated on 27 Jun 2018: I'm 3 weeks out. I'm still super stuffy. I've got really BAD DAYS AND GOOD DAYS :(. I'm trying to be patient. I love dr Murphy. He's great his team is great! I can't wait until I can breathe normally Swelling goes down Updated on 19 May 2019: I'm not sure why this is happening but I'm completely miserable and going to an ENT to see that is going on. I've had 2 surgeries. And still Can't Breathe. I've had it :( and I'm tired of living this way. I WISH I never spent this money!

He was informative about the procedure and risks, helped me choose a size that is right for my body, and made me feel comfortable and safe from start to finish. I had a breast augmentation and my results are incredible! Dr. Murphy really worked his magic.

I had tip rhinoplasty and turbinates surgery. I'm writing this at 11 days post surgery It was worth it. I really love the way it looks. I don't think I was prepared for recovery side. The packing on day one was a nightmare for me. I seriously almost ended up in the emergency room from anxiety . I'm congested. I'm 33 and have wanted breast implants since I was 18 years old. I actually went for a consultation back then but financially wasn't ready. Over the years, I longed for larger fuller breasts, I always wished for a full C. I've been a 36B depending on weight fluctuations and as I've gotten older, I didn't even fill out the cups. My fiancé is a Personal Trainer and got me lifting heavy over the last 7 years. I loved having muscles but hated how little my breasts got. I wood obsess over my favorite fitness models in the biz and see how amazing they looked with great bodies and nice perky round breasts. I longed to feel sexy like them! So now I am here 15 years later and about to get married on October 2017! It felt like the perfect time to get my implants so I could feel super confident walking down the aisle in my dream dress! I just moved to Denver from NYC in March and had to sort of rush the process a bit because I needed to shop for a wedding dress with my mom in mid June. I had my first consultation with Dr. Murphy in the beginning of May and fell in love with his work and his staff right away. In the office, I tried on 550cc high profile gummy bear implants and loved them. I knew at this stage of my life I definitely wanted Ds or DDs! Dr Murphy's office was happy to work with my short timeline and made my surgery appointment for May 23rd. The week before my surgery I had my post-op appointment and confirmed the size I wanted. The nurse sized up the implants up to 580cc because apparently once the implant is under the muscle, the size goes down. That week I stopped all my normal supplements and started Bromelain enzymes and Arnica Montana tablets to help prepare my body for bruising and swelling. On the 23rd I was able to eat a piece of toast at 6am and fasted the rest of the day until my 4pm surgery times. The surgery only took 25 minute and I had a short recovery time after. Everyone in the office made me feel super comfortable and taken care of from start to finish. I am now one week post-op and healing nicely! They were totally Frankenboobs for the first few days but gradually started looking more normal! I'm so thankful for RealSelf and also for a private Facebook group I'm in for ladies showing their progression photos so I could see that it was normal for them to look all crazy in the beginning. I mean what the heck did ladies do before the Internet!! Ha! I read so many amazing ladies profiles here and I wanted to add my own so I could keep a log of my own progression. I'm so thankful that I am finally on this journey! My confidence is already through the rough and I'm so very happy! Updated on 2 Jun 2017: Updated on 7 Jul 2017: 6 weeks post op. I'm extremely happy with the look of them! My chest muscle still seems to be holding strong but hopefully it will loosen up more soon! I also included a 4 week post op photo comparison as well.
