Eyelid drooping, also known as eyelid ptosis, is very common after a traumatic injury. This can be easily corrected with a minor eyelid procedure. Ptosis repair can be done with an external (incision on the outside of the eyelid) approach or an internal (incision hidden on the inside of the eyelid) approach. Based on your response to Visine, you may very well be a candidate for the internal approach. This can be verified in the office with an eye drop test. It is completely normal for your eyes to feel heavy immediately after surgery. This is due to multiple factors including the local anesthetic injection, the swelling around the eyelids, as well as normal muscular weakness after eyelid surgery. I would not anticipate or be concerned about eyelid ptosis this early in the healing process.

I agree with many of the other responses in that it appears that your cheek volume has descended. Certainly a cheek lift (or mid-face lift) would help to address this entire area. Alternatively, fat transfer would be a reasonable alternative to permanently restore volume in the deficient areas.

The end result of any rhinoplasty should meet the following goals: it should fit that individual's face, it should continue to breathe well, it should appear natural and non-surgical, and it should become less of a distracting feature on the face. Every rhinoplasty that is performed is tailored toward that specific individual and no two procedures are done the same way. Based on your photos, the base of your nose is a little wide for your face and there is slight bulbosity to the cephalad tip area. The melolabial folds are an excellent place for either synthetic filler or autologous fat transfer. Fat transfer offers a permanent and natural solution while fillers have to be repeated every 6 to 9 months in this area. I would not recommend a facelift for two reasons. Given your age and overall healthy skin tissue, you'll notice very little benefit with a lift. Additionally, facelifts do not really address the melolabial fold area. These folds are highly genetic traits and tend to deepen after significant weight loss.

This involves tightening the muscular layer beneath the skin to improve the jowling along the jaw line as well as the neck bands and skin laxity. At different times, I have had three procedures performed by Dr. Ladner; I keep returning because he does it RIGHT and his staff have enjoyable personalities mixed with high professionalism. I also go to his office about every three months for Botox or filler; very competent staff. I’ve tried other places for “injectables,” but always come back to Dr. Ladner’s office because I feel like the desired effects last longer.
