I was so nervous to get a rhinoplasty done because I felt like my friends and family wouldn't understand me. But I am so glad I did it! The surgery was totally fine because I was asleep the whole time and all of the staff were incredibly kind and helpful, making me feel calm before the operation. I had a bit of a rough time after coming out of surgery with a lot of nausea, but from the time I got home the recovery was super smooth. I spent the week relaxing in bed, and after getting my cast removed 1 week later I felt almost entirely back to normal. The pain was extremely minimal throughout the process, just the discomfort of having a cast on the nose and some dripping. Dr. Peterson did an incredible job, he gave me exactly what I asked for and matched the picture I showed him for inspiration perfectly. I could not be happier that I went through with the surgery. I have never had as much confidence in my appearance as I do now, and I am not afraid for people to see me from ANY angle now! It has truly changed the way I feel about myself. 100% recommend, the process it really so smooth!

I am a 5'6", 34yr old woman, who never had kids. In my younger life I had gained a significant amount of weight and ballooned up to 250lbs. It was a long journey and I worked hard to loose the weight, but when I did nothing returned to the way it should be. My stomach ended up retaining most of my fatty area and work out and diet as I might, nothing helped reduce it. Dr. Peterson was great when we met for my consultation. I told him my story and my current journey along weight loss. He was very interested in my story and to make sure I'm at a steady place. I felt a kinship, that he understood what I needed, and so far, (I know it's early still) I was definitely not wrong. I'm one week post op and already feel so good about my results. Pain hasn't been too much at all and I can't believe the difference. It's amazing. I can already express how amazing it is to not have to "tuck in" my tummy when putting on pants, I don't have to demean myself anymore. I just have to get used to seeing my belly button in a very different position, it's weird to see it where it is supposed to be. Updated on 30 Dec 2019: My 3 weeks post op follow up was great! Everything is healing well and I'm moving very well. Pain hasn't been much for me, little pangs here and there and the odd bit of discomfort, but over all it's been very minimal. I'm still really happy with everything! I just have to remember I'm still recovering and not push myself to do much. Updated on 20 Jan 2020: My 6 weeks post op photos look great. Swelling has been at a minimum and everything is healing nicely. My belly button has been the slowest to heal but coming along nicely. I am so happy I had this done and am loving the results. Updated on 16 Jul 2020: It's been 7.5 months now since my operation and I am still totally elated with my results. It's gonna be a bit longer yet till I have "full recovery", as I do have some swelling still, lots of numbness in the area between my belly button and the scar. I do have a dark scar colour, which will lighten up over time. Aside any small complaints, which will likely sort themselves out over time, I am 100% happy with everything!

My first consult was with Dr.Peterson 3 years ago since then I have been contemplating and researching the surgery as there is a lot to it mentally, physically and monetary. I had three consults 2 with Dr. Peterson and one with a surgeon in Kamloops. During my consults the staff and Dr. Peterson were great answering all my questions. Updated on 1 Jun 2019: My experience with Dr Peterson and his staff was great. I felt comfortable there and therefor less stress for me. I have not seen all my results yet as I need to keep the gauze on my tummy for 3 days. As per discussed with Dr Peterson I was to have a full tummy tuck with liposuction and 375 high-profile implants. I woke up from the surgery with minimal pain the anesthesiologist was awesome. I had a full hysterectomy 9 months ago and was in major pain upon waking so I was quite pleased! I did not get to talk to Dr Peterson after my surgery as he was performing surgery on someone else at the time . My husband and I spent the night at a hotel next to the surgical center it was good but it was really hard to get into bed. I woke up in the middle of the night and felt awful I experienced the same feeling as when I went under the anesthetic. Luckily I was able to call out to my husband who came into the room and then I blacked out. He said he was calling my name loud and had to slap my face to make me come to. It was a bit scary for him. After talking to the nurse this morning we think it was too much tramazole (2 tablets every 4 hours) painkiller so I bumped back down to 1 and it seems to be doing the trick. Will update when I get to see tummy results. Updated on 2 Jun 2019: Definitely feeling more sore than yesterday. Does day 3 get better? I am really happy I have my husband to get me up and down to the washroom. I got a walker to help move around while hunched over but it's no good as I can't put any weight on my arms from the augmentation. Could have skipped renting it. Staggering taking Tylenol 3 and ibuprofen to keep the pain level down. I'd say the hardest part so far is walking hunched over (back strain) and bra and corset digging into my sides. Basically I feel bruised and battered from the top of my thighs all the way to the top of my chest but I know this is to be expected so just taking it slow. Hopefully tomorrow (day 3) I will feel better. Updated on 4 Jun 2019: Tummy in "swell hell". Did I mention how sore the back gets? It makes standing up only possible for short sessions. Breasts are feeling good can move my arms more. I tried to sleep in bed with my legs over a stack of pillows and that was a nightmare move. Luckily hubby is strong and could get me up and out again. You really feel like a fish out of water when you can't use your arms or core! Went back to the lift chair which is so hard on the tailbone. Layed a theromrest over it and then sat down it surprisingly helped quite a bit. Still taking t3's one every 4 hrs and ib profin 400 mg every 6 to 8 hrs. Its going to be a long road to until back on the feet again so just have to be patient. Although its difficult to move around at the moment so far glad I did both procedures at the same time. Updated on 11 Jun 2019: Every day a little better. Still hunched over and not able to stand for very long maybe two to three minutes before I have to sit down. The reason why it's uncomfortable to stand is because my back really hurts and or sometimes the pressure on my stomach is so strong that it just makes it uncomfortable. The bruising on my stomach seems to be getting worse but I think this is normal. I really wish there was a way to get the swelling to go down faster. I have booked lymphatic drainage for this Friday so we'll see if that helps. Every time I use the washroom a bit of extra time is taken to very lightly massage my abdomen area to help stimulate the nerve endings as my tummy is numb and also to help get the fluid moving. The last three nights I have slept in bed propped up on pillows and legs over top of a rolled-up thermarest. Can't wait to lie flat! The only painkillers I am taking at this point are at just before bedtime a light cocktail of ibprofen and Tylenol. It helps take the edge off the pain and ensure I get a good night sleep. I can feel my abdominal muscles are getting a lot stronger and am liking that my breasts are starting to drop too! Other than the swelling and lack of being mobile I am pretty happy with the results so far. Updated on 13 Jun 2019: Had my first visit with the surgeon since my surgery. On a scale of 1 to 10 for swelling with 10 being the worst, I am at a level 7. I have had a bleed probably from the liposuction and that is why the bruising is so bad. They tried to drain it off with a syringe but the blood has changed to a Jell-O like consistency so it is too thick to drain. It is supposed to turn back into fluid in a few weeks and will try again. So a few more weeks with a pot belly. Breast are coming along nicely. Still walking hunched over but feel like it won't be long until I'm straight. Moving much better today and can get up and down easier. Itching to get at the yard and house work but have to turn blind eye for now! Updated on 23 Jun 2019: The bad: Thought I would feel much better at this point but just feeling blah. The swelling is still bad and hard in spots and can leave finger indentations. Some swelling has shifted downwards below my incision on the right side and it feels crampy. The texture of the skin on my belly looks a bit off and am defiantly worried about the wrinkling when the swelling goes away. But I need to be patient for the results! The good: Slight improvement every day and am mostly sleeping flat now with legs elevated. Almost walking completely upright. My abdominal muscles feel good to go! I can't even find the insertion mark from the liposuction. Like my small belly button scar. Love my breasts! They are dropping nicely and incisions are only 4cm long. Nipple area more sensitive, keeping up with breast massage and still wearing support bra 24/7. Had lymphatic massage a week ago which was nice but not sure if it helped?? I couldn't really tell a difference. Not sure if I will go for another round. Seeing Dr. Peterson tomorrow- thanks goodness! Looking forward to some reassurance! Updated on 26 Jun 2019: Had 2nd post op appointment. Surgeon said swelling is inside the abdominal wall there is not really that much fluid. Said everything looks good and to ease up on the compression garment changing to a spanx. Decided not to do scar treatment. I just don't see the point of spending the money when I might not scar that bad. If in the end the scarring is bad I'll have something done. Updated on 8 Jul 2019: Swelling has definitely resided over the last few weeks. There is definitely still some but making Headway at least. Loving how the surgery turned out so far and hoping it will continue to get better as the weeks, months and years go by. The swelling within a day started to get way better after I stopped wearing my binder. I think it really prevented the swelling from draining out. I do still wear it when I'm up and about for long periods of time but feel it really helps to take it off and let the juices flow where they need to. This may not be the case for everyone I just found that it worked for me with my type of swelling. I never realized how good my new breasts would make me feel. Its just so nice to fit clothes better. 100% worth it! Updated on 14 Aug 2019: 9 Week pictures. Had Dr visit at 8 weeks still need to take it slowish. Still don't feel well enough to walk very far or even get back to the gym. Muscle tissue on abs still hard in places, one side more swollen than other side and there is still some bruising! Dr. Said all normal. I like the results in morning but they disappear after swelling starts usually within about 30mins. Pics all taken in the morning.

I had Cancer at age 1. My right side of my chest never grew properly and the muscle above my breast was concave. After speaking with several Surgeons over the years. I was beyond impressed with Dr. Peterson beside manners and professionalism. He made the whole procedure smooth and not nerve wracking at all. I healed nicely, and am now almost 3 years since he did the surgery on me. After spending most of my life being quite embarrassed due to the huge symmetry, I can now say I stand tall and proud. And I have referred many people to him and will continue to do so.

Journey started June 1998. I had breast fed 3 kids for a total of 3 years. Left me with zippo!!!! I'm 5'4" and 105-110lbs. I found out about Dr. Peterson from a friend who was a OR nurse for him (RIP Mo).she had nothing but great things to say about him. I went ahead with surgery. 300 filled to 325 saline (saline only choice then). Fast forward to Dec 2017, one of my implants had a poke out the side and I was worried. Dr. Peterson was able to see me on short notice. He said it was fine. Just a fold in the implant. Amazing the office found records on me from almost 20 years prior, not much but some. Got thinking maybe I should replace my older implants while Dr. Peterson is still practising. So I decided to go for the cohesive implants. He was great on sizing. Open to our thought, likes, wants! Initially I was looking at 550-600cc . Chickened out day of surgery and went with 500cc HP. Surgery was quicker than first surgery and I stressed how bad I react to anesthetic. Surprisingly I woke up feeling great. So happy, used NO pain drugs at all. Second time easier I think. I love the feeling of the silicone implants over the saline. One weird thing with the silicone, these puppies get cold!!!! I got icebergs bolted on. Never felt that with saline. I would totally us Dr. Peterson again and I have recommended him to friends who used him too. Hope he sticks around for a while, my daughter wants a set after she has her family. Hang in another 5 years or so :) Oh staff great too. I was last patient to a nurse that retired that day. She seemed sad to be leaving but onward to her next journey of life. All are great there! So nice being in a private clinic.

This Friday, I’m heading in for my second surgery with Dr. Peterson. I had my BL/BA 5 months ago and I’m finally completing my mommy makeover. I was so pleased with my BL results, I’m hoping to have the same positive experience again. I’m a 42 year old mother of 2, 5’3”, 142lbs. I gained 65 lbs in my first pregnancy and 45 in my second. I gained and lost weight so many times, I can’t keep track anymore. I’ve always maintained regular exercise and have been a life long runner and workout regularly. But I’ve been within a 10 lbs range for the last 3 years and am ready to have my poof and excess skin gone. I’ve been waiting over 10 years now. I’m so excited. Updated on 29 Aug 2018: So 2 days until surgery and I’m finally getting excited and nervous. I’m really hoping everything will go smoothly as the last time I developed an infection with my BL/BA and it knocked me on my butt for 2 weeks. Anyway, posting bikini pics. Really regretted not documenting my other surgery so I’m adding lots of photos for this one. Updated on 1 Sep 2018: Had my TT yesterday and it went super! PS didn’t have to put any drains in so I’m free from that encumbrance, thank god! The compression garment isn’t too bulky and I’ve got my pain under control. I’m just feeling super sore at the incision but no acute pain. I’m taking tramocet every 4 hours and an ibuprofen suppository (yes, up the bum) every 12 hours until tonight. I can barely get myself out of the prone position but making my arms into triangle is my new way to scooch and get myself up. I do have a hand rail on my bed when I finally get home, but currently I’m holed up in a hotel until tomorrow as my PS is 300km away from me. I don’t take the CG off until Tuesday or Wednesday and I’ll post photos then. Updated on 3 Sep 2018: So I finally got to have a shower today and the results of my TT. I am sooo swollen and bruised. I feel like someone used my gut as a punching bag but I’m feeling a little better and only needing to take ibuprofen and Tylenol. The team idol was making me so antsy and restless even though it really did help with the pain. It’s hard to see any real results right now with all this swelling but there definitely isn’t any excess skin and I got a new belly button. To be honest, reading the reviews about the pain and loss of energy doesn’t prepare you for the actuality of it, I truly wasn’t expecting to be knocked on my ass this much. Atleast I’m feeling better with each day. Updated on 4 Sep 2018: Feeling better, the initial swelling feels like it’s going down but the bruising! I haven’t seen any other review with this kind of bruising. Anyone else bruise like this?!? I know it’s normal but also a bit freaky. Also forgot to mention that I got my period on day of surgery! That made it all the more interesting but also wasn’t so bad, managed to get through it. The compression garment is a godsend. I took it off for the photos and was instantly uncomfortable. It’s tight but provides some relief Updated on 5 Sep 2018: Couldn’t update photos yesterday so here they are now. Feeling MUCH better today, still low energy but only using Tylenol and Advil. Still taking it super easy though. I’ll keep updating as time goes on. Updated on 5 Sep 2018: Forgot to post photos of my belly button and scar. I know it looks totally harsh but hey, it’s early days. Not sure what is going on with the skin right under my belly button. It’s like it’s stretched tighter than the rest so it’s not swollen and has created mound like swelling. Anyone else experience this? I’m worried now that they didn’t take enough skin off but it’s too early to tell. I’ll do revision if I have to but I’d really rather not. TTS are not for the faint of heart. Lol Updated on 7 Sep 2018: Day 6 and the bruising is slowly, VERY slowly fading but the swelling is almost exactly the same. I’ve been keeping track with a measuring tape. It’s hard to be patient because munsize has not changed, I fact gotten bigger because of the swelling so I feel no benefit yet from the surgery. Makes it hard to stay positive and excited about it, especially being so limited in my movement. I know it’ll be worth it, but right now, I just feel demoralized. Feels like I’m going through all this pain for nothing. :-( On the plus side, I’m standing straighter and have more energy and can move around better. I’m only taking ibuprofen/Tylenol minimally and the pain is way more manageable. I hope I start seeing some kind of results soon. Updated on 22 Sep 2018: So I’m 3 weeks post op and I’ve added some photos. Bruising has resolved itself and the selling has gone down. I used a measuring tape to track it. India Italy my bruising swole me up as follows Waist: 30.5 in Tummy: 38 in Hips: 38 in I’m down to: Waist: 29 in Tummy: 36.5 in Hips: 38 in I’m still quite swollen but at least I know I’ve made significant progress. One side is definitely more swollen than the other and around the incision scar, it is hard. I’m massaging it a bit and still icing it but I feel well enough to return to work. I’m really glad I gave myself 3 weeks and planned on doing nothing. I feel pretty good but my energy is still pretty low. Still staying away from drinking and sweets and taking supplements and smoothies everyday. It really helps. Now I’ve incorporated small walks even when I don’t feel like it. Updated on 24 Sep 2018: So I made a side by side photo of when I was 5DPO and at 3 weeks DPO. I look the same size but there is an actual 2 inch difference around the tummy and a 1.5 inch difference around the waist. Still have a long road in terms of swelling but it is slowly resolving itself. I am beginning to see the results of what it’ll look like as a finished product that gives me hope. First day back at work and I feel great. Started using silicone tape on the scar today. Updated on 24 Sep 2018: I’m posting some before and after photos. The is one taken 5 days DPO and 3 weeks DPO. It doesn’t look like a huge difference because my shape has stayed the same but there is a 2 inch reduction at my belly and 1.5 inch reduction at my waist. The second photo is pre-op versus 3 weeks DPO. Seeing this photo, I realize I still have a ways to go in the healing process but also, I’m really excited and happy that I got it done. Even with the big scar, I’m so much less self-conscious about my body and feel really good in my skin. I still feel low energy but I know that will change Updated on 24 Sep 2018: Photos did not upload. And normally I don’t care but the update box requires a certain amount of characters and I’m out of things to say! Other than body changes, it has been an emotional roller coaster but I’ll save that for another post. Updated on 29 Sep 2018: I’m posting bikini shots that don’t include a high waisted bottom. Yay! My tummy is still discoloured from the swelling where the fluid sits and I’m still swollen (yes, even after 4 weeks. Patience. Patience.) but I’m beginning to see definition AND the scar is so low, I can wear my super low cut bikini bottoms with no problems! I’m posting where the scar sits and what it looks like covered up. Im so looking forward to being completely healed. Updated on 2 Oct 2018: I woke up this morning and my tummy was an inch smaller. Yay! I have to say, measuring progress with a measuring tape was the best idea. It often felt like nothing was changing but the numbers don’t lie. Here’s some photos of me in the morning when the swelling is at it’s minimum. Updated on 2 Oct 2018: Today felt like another turning point. Felt like the swelling had really come down and feels like I’m closer to being at the end result. Also, some incision close ups. Still looks pretty gruesome and is still hard and rigid to the touch. The incision shows the amount of swelling, even in the morning. Updated on 19 Oct 2018: This is me at week 7. Saw my PS a couple of days ago and said I’m still so incredibly swollen. He said that’s normal for anyone who is active and doesn’t sit still for long. Yep, that’s me. Week 3 at the gym and although I’m staying away from all things core and ab, I’m running and Wright training and it feels good. Incision is looking really good and I feel pretty good but it is true, I’m still feeling very swollen. I still wear my Walmart CG in the daytime, it really helps while I’m at work. Updated on 30 Oct 2018: Today is 2 months exactly. Swelling is slowly going down day by day and I no longer have to wear my CG unless I’m feeling really bloated. I’m still not 100% free of swelling but I’m noticing a difference for sure. I feel smaller and flatter and did my first sit ups yesterday. Modified and slow but definitely did them. Im starting to see definition now in my ab region but it’s still hard at the incision line and there’s still a bit of a shelf so I know I’m not there yet. Also, the skin still is puckered and wrinkles when I bend over. Not much but enough for me to say that if it doesn’t resolve itself by my 5 month follow-up in February, I’m going to ask for a small revision in that area to get the skin pulled tighter. I know my PS pulled it as tight as it could go, I have no doubt about that. But I think the laxity in my skin was just too great and may have stretched out a little after surgery. When I’m standing up, it looks amazing though. I’m okay with having a little more done if it means I achieve the results I truly want. I’m not settling for anything less than awesome results and I love the work my PS does. Hope everyone is having an awesome day! Updated on 31 Oct 2018: Updated on 1 Nov 2018: Found a before photo that made me realize just how lax my tummy was and my skin too. I didn't realize just how much it was sticking out and how much it rounded me out too. I feel so curvaceous these days, my clothes are fitting so well. Updated on 5 Nov 2018: Well, I’m just past the 2 month mark and the swelling has really started to subside. That’s the good news. The bad news is that my skin is wrinkled like it was before my TT. Not nearly as bad though. When I’m standing up, my results look fabulous and my healing is coming along well. But when I bend over or am sitting... sigh.... it wrinkles and I feel that it’s unsightly. I don’t think this had anything to do with the work my PS did, I think that maybe my skin was simply too lax there and it couldn’t hold its tightness. I know it’s still early in my healing and there is a chance it may resolve itself but I don’t think so. I’ve posted the question to the question board so we’ll see what he other surgeons think. In any case, I won’t accept my results as is and am ready to do a revision if I have to. I’m trying not to worry about it because it is what it is but I am disappointed. I really just wanted to finally feel great in my skin and now it seems the journey isn’t quite over. I love my PS and I’m sure he’ll be able to correct it but I’d rather not have to go under the knife again. Updated on 1 Apr 2019: Hey everyone, Thought I would post an update as it’s been 7 months and my journey is not over as I had hoped. I’m going back for some correction on April 18 and am pretty excited about it! First I want to say, my PS has been stellar with my concerns, listened to everything I said and the. Came up with a plan to address my issues and is not charging me for my correction. I can’t tell how important it is to have a PS who is a perfectionist and who will go back and make sure you’re satisfied. Even before I saw him, I knew I could trust him to see me through this. So a few issues, first, I have dog ears. An easy fix that will address in surgery. Second is that my vertical scar seems likes it’s stuck in place so it wrinkles right at the area and third excess skin and fat. My PS came up with 2 options and said he will decide at my surgery. But option 1 is lipo while addressing the vertical scar and dog ears. He thinks this may correct the issues. Option B is to remove more skin, it’s a little more involved. The lovely part is that my scar is fading nicely and my muscle repair feels so good. So so good. Even with these issues, I’d still go back to Dr. P. I know my skin is pretty lax there and I don’t think he could have done anything differently. I’ll keep you all posted after my second surgery! Updated on 20 Apr 2019: Hey ladies, So I had my revision done last Thursday and I am feeling pretty good about. Everything went Super well, no problems or issues at all and lots of joking was to be had. PS only did three small incisions, to fix my vertical scar and the dog era and also did lipo. I’m so swollen, that I won’t know the end results for a little while. But it’s looking good! I’m hopeful. Dr. Peterson is a perfectionist though and cares about his patients a lot so I’m confident that it’ll be good. I’ll post photos soon but there’s nothing really to see except the bandage pads and some swelling. Updated on 21 Apr 2019: Here’s a few photos 3 days post op. Not a lot to show but I’ll keep updating as time goes on. Thank you to all the women who have commented and kept up with my journey, it really means a lot. ?? Updated on 15 May 2019: Overall, the healing is going great. The lipo contoured me nicely and the dog ears were fixed. There is definitely a vast improvement. Sadly, I think the skin is just too stretched to have it as an easy fix. I think more skin needs removal. I’m okay with having to do lore revision but I want it to be the best it can. I’m seeing my PS tomorrow so hopefully he will agree and we can schedule some time to do it. I’ll keep you posted Updated on 25 Jul 2019: So it’s been 5 months and on my last review, I mentioned concerns about skin puckering. Atlylast appointment, Dr. P. assured me the skin would smooth out once the scar softened. I admit I was skeptical. But photos don’t lie. Although it’s not completely resolved, there has been vast improvement! I think Dr. Peterson did a fantastic job and although I may address this wrinkling if I’m not totally satisfied in a few months, I do not think it had anything to do with his skill, he is so good. I think just that my skin is pretty compromised and it couldn’t be helped.

I had the best experience with Dr. Peterson and am going back for more. I had a BL/BA done 5 months ago (March 27, 2018) and couldn't be happier with the results. I went from an extremely droopy 32C to a beautifully perky 32E. Before choosing Dr. Peterson, I spent weeks researching surgeons in the Kelowna; his credentials are extensive, the majority of his reviews are extremely positive, and he has garnered an amazing reputation as one of the best surgeons around. And it took no time at all to see why. His office staff is incredibly nice, informative and professional (and literally can't stop complimenting him when he isn't present - that says a lot about their boss), the clinic is fabulous and the surgical ward is incredible with 180 degree view of Kelowna. Yes ladies, it is a private surgical ward with a one to one nurse/patient ratio in the recovery room, no crowded hospitals for you! As for Dr. Peterson, I found him warm and friendly, incredibly knowledgeable and open to all my questions. He explained in full detail what to expect and worked with me to ensure the best possible results by listening to my preferences and explaining what would look best on my body type. I believe I got the most beautiful results because I allowed him to use his expertise to guide the process and wasn’t hung up on a singular idea of what I wanted. I honestly wasn’t wanting to go bigger but after trying on many sizes of implants, I realized that bigger would be so much more feminine for my body and that is what I wanted. As for the results? Amazing! I have never had such beautiful breasts in my whole life. They are so much better than I ever expected. It is obvious that Dr. Peterson takes his work very seriously and my breasts are perfect: perky, firm but with a bit of give and a beautiful shape. His post-care is thorough as well, he gives you his personal cell number (and the number to the on-call plastic surgeon) in case of any issues arising in the first few weeks and that was a godsend as I developed a soft tissue infection 10 days post-op. I spoke with the on-call surgeon and was in the ER within a few hours of that call. Because I live 300km from Kelowna, the ER doc liaised with the on-call surgeon and they had me on IV antibiotics ASAP. Although Dr. Peterson has some of the lowest infection rates in Kelowna and he does everything possible to prevent infection, it happens. This situation could have been really bad had I not had the available resources to fall back on, I’m so glad to have had the support and follow-up care his office provided. I’m so impressed with him as a surgeon, I chose him to do my tummy tuck as well that is coming up in less than a couple of weeks (August 31). I’ll try to get a before photo from my PS at my next appointment, would love to have one as documentation Updated on 24 Aug 2018: So now that my BA/BL is done and healed, I go back on August 31 to get my tummy tuck with an abdominal muscle repair. Pre-op appointment is already done, pain meds and antibiotics already gotten and stocked up on supplies. It helps that I’ve been through this already, no wondering and guessing involved. I kind of regret not documenting my BL/BA so this time I’m doing and posting pictures too. Just one more week and the surgery part of this journey will be over. I really hope my experience the second time will be as good as my first. Some stats about me: 42 years old, 5’3”, 142 lbs. first pregnancy, I gained 65 lbs and the second was 45lbs. Lost and gained weight a few times over the years but have always been healthy in eating and exercised regularly all the time. There simply isn’t any amount of core exercises that will fix this tummy issue. So I’m doing it and looking forward to getting my physique back. Updated on 26 Sep 2018: I’m updating photos of my BA/BL 6 months post-op. I have to admit, it really does take all this time for breasts to settle in nicely and take on a more natural shape and look. The more time goes on, the more I love my breasts and their size. Although I am a 32E, it’s totally not out of sync with my body, they feel just right. Updated on 19 Oct 2018: I saw my surgeon a few days ago for a post op on my TT and asked if he could give me copies of my before photos of my BL/BA. I never took before pictures because honestly, I was so self conscious and hated looking at myself. I did not want ANY reminders of my former self. But now it’s been almost 7 months with my new breasts and I feel fantastic, so much so that I can look on my before pictures and not feel those emotions so strongly. It’s amazing how quickly we forget all those negative feelings and slip into feeling much more confident and happy with ourselves. I’m so pleased with my results and if it wasn’t for the tattoos on my before photos, I would not have even recognized myself, nor did I realize just how saggy I was as I tried very hard not to look at myself. Now, every chance I get, I get naked! And if I don’t have to, I don’t wear a bra! My PS says it’s unnecessary since it’s my implant and muscles that retain the shape of my breast not my breast tissue and skin. He told me not to worry about premature sagging, it’s not contingent on wearing a bra, it’s contingent on diet and weight fluctuations. The healthier the diet and the more stable the weight, the less likely I am to sag early. Updated on 30 Oct 2018: Hello ladies, 7 months post op already and I couldn’t be happier! Whereas my self consciousness took up a huge part of my brain, and there was no way I would walk around naked, now, all those feelings are gone. I couldn’t care less if I’m seen naked by my boyfriend. My confidence is so high and I look smashing in clothing. It truly was one of the best decisions of my life in terms of self care. I have absolutely no regrets about doing this and don’t care what people think. To those who don’t understand, it may seem vain and bending to society’s impossible standards but those of us who do understand, we know it’s so much more than that. It’s about getting our bodies back, our self- esteem and self-confidence returning and about finally feeling free of our self consciousness and shame. Updated on 7 Apr 2019: Well ladies, it’s been slightly over a year now and I’m so in love with my boobs and the results I got. I love never having to wear a bra even though I’m a 32E (DD). It’s the first time in my life where I’m actually perky and don’t feel self conscious walking around naked. It’s the best thing I ever did for myself. I’m so glad I did.

Amazing! Hands down! I felt comfortable with Dr. Peterson from the moment i met him. He was very kind, calmed my nerves and listened to exactly what i wanted. He made suggestions based on my body and how i would look. I had my Augmentation Mastopexies yesterday, though i haven't had a chance to actually see them yet, they're the perfect size! (I am currently on day 2 after surgery and will take some pictures tomorrow when the dressings etc. can come off). Dr. Peterson's staff & nurses were just as amazing as him. Anything i needed, they were right there ready to help me. If your looking for a impeccable surgeon and great staff, look no further! Updated on 20 Aug 2018: T-3 DAYS!!!!!! Say Whaaaaaaat?! Well, my time has come! I've had to put off my surgery a few times, but now its here! Original date of August 28th and was able to bump it up to the 16th! Bras are purchased, vitamins, creams, bandaids, gauze, tylenol, antiseptic wash, probiotics, kambucha, soup for days and a million other things lol I'm going in for a breast reduction, lollipop lift and an implant ((high profile) breast augmentation mastopexi)) . I'm not good with needles so my biggest fear right now is the IV... go figure. I'm not too worried about the pain after, i'm good about staying on top of meds if they're needed. The timing isn't the greatest (ends up we are moving just after my surgery. Well, 'hubby' is moving us now) but well make it work! The kids will have to pitch in ;) I am 33 years old, mom of 3, nursed them all & looking sad. I'm usually an avid crossfitter but suffered a back injury so have taken some time off. Good timing for having to be out of the gym and getting this surgery done! After recovery i plan to return full time... would love to hear from anyone on how that was. I'm afraid of damaging something or pulling a muscle after sugeryI have personally seen Dr. Brian Peterson's work so i didn't hesitate booking with him. After officially meeting him, i don't have any worry about the work he will do. I felt that he really listened to what i wanted but still had his input on specific's and how it would look on my body type. I will travel 4 hours in the early morning to Kelowna with my husband. Check in time for me is 1015am, he predicts my surgery will be about 2 -2.5hrs, 5-6 hours total. Im equally excited and nervous right now. It'll shift into pure fear the moment i walk into the surgical centre lol I might pass out :') Regardless i've wanted this surgery for as long as i can remember (around circa 2008 after baby #1 took its toll lol), 3 later and tack on a few more years and we've got some saggy pancakes. My want still out weighs the fear of actually having it done. I plan to allow my body about 1 year recovery before having a tummy tuck done. I had been hoping for a mini but nada... It has to be a full. I can only imagine the time i will be out from the gym with that one :( I had all my children via C-Section so i do have a good inclination of what to expect, do i still want to do that again? Yes, but not quite yet lol I gained 80lbs with my first baby & next to nothing with my other two. Even with all the crossfit, i am still left with this apron fold overtop of my incision. Its gotta go! I have upper and lower distention in my muscles so a little bit of muscle repair i'm sure as well. I haven't made it as far as finding a surgeon yet, though i would love to use the PS i have now I just need to see his work and actually talk about it. Most of the full TT i've seen, the scar sits SO high! I need to find someone who can focus on keeping it super low.Ok now i'm rambling... nervous rambling...Soon i'll be on the other side! Stay tuned I'll try to keep everyone posted. Updated on 20 Aug 2018: Before i start: 33 Years old, mom to 3 boys 5, 7, 9.5, nursed all 3 & birthed them all via C-Section. Augmentation Mastopexies with 250CC Mentor HP under the muscle. Prior to surgery I was a very saggy D cup with a 36" band. I have a very wide rib cage and wanted to be smaller around a B cup or a C cup. I do plan to have one more surgery Abdominoplasty with muscle repair & a little lipo to fix my apron fold from the c-sections & remove all the loose skin. I do have some upper & lower distention in the muscles so i'm hoping this can be repaired to. Then i can 100% heal and get back into the GYM! I will be a happy mama when its all said and done! I can't believe I'm 4DPO already?! All this planning and saving of pictures has just come and gone! Ok, lets get into details... lets go back to Day 3 PO! 'Bandage Removal Day' aka: mama passes out day.... I dont do well with 'needles, hospitals, blood, cuts etc. lol Covered in tattoos but stick me with a needle and i'll hit the floor. PS. The anesthesiologist Dr. Faucet INCREDIBLE! He even gave me some light freezing before my IV and didn't feel a thing... Ok as i was saying: gory stuff... not me! so its bandage day. These things feel like they're crazy glued to my boobies and all i can think is how the heck do i get these off without tearing off my nipples lol No joke It took me about 4 hours to slowly peel all the edges up. I had lipo in the armpit and band line so that gauze patch was painful. Slow and steady. I would peel some up, fold it over and take a break to breathe so i didn't pass out. Fast forward, all sticky is up and its just my nipples now. I expected to see Steri-Strips over all the incisions but it was just along the horizontal incision under the breast. The gauze was mildly stuck to my nipple and the incision going up the middle. Though it was not painful to lightly tug it off and didn't cause any bleeding. I had to take a dizzy break after that lol FINALLY I SAW THE GIRLS! Wow! Not going to lie, was a little scary BUT, who wouldn't be! I couldn't believe how well his stitches were, the incisions were so clean and there was barely any residue or anything on the bandages. Very swollen! My left side is more swollen than the other but just a bit. This was my bigger breast so it had more work done. Love the size of my nipples! Im feeling a little cone shaped right now but can envision them a few months down the road once they drop and fluff. I'll attach some previous pictures of the bandages etc. The first shots of my new breasts are 3DPO right after the bandages were removed. On a different note: T-Rex Arms Sleeping Constipation Burning Tingling Gurgling Lets talk these? All normal fyi! T-Rex arms are HARD yo! You really don't notice how much you use your pecs and arms for things until you really can't! Opening a water bottle, opening medication bottles, opening a door or turning a lock, yah totally take those things for granted! Hubby has been a god send and so has my oldest son (9.5yo) I think they're both tired of me lol Sleeping.. actually not as bad as i imagined. I mean it isn't glorified deep sleep but its decent? I sleep with about 12 pillows in a C formation lol then i toss in an airplane pillow around my neck because it hurts less. I've been waking up with nightmares that i've rolled over on my stomach, hasn't actually happened though. Constipation.. was about day 3 when i had my first bowel movement and then everything resumed as normal. I have been taking Tramadol as the pain med which can increase constipation. I am taking 3000IU Vitamin C daily, 2000IU Vitamin D, Metamucil tablet (2 only), 1 Daily probiotic for women & a 5 day antibiotic. I take the antibiotic in the morning and the probiotic at night, the two can interfere with each other if taken back to back fyi Burning & Tingling.. Normal! i mean think of what was done right?! Nerves severed, tissue removed, everything has a lot of healing to do Gurgling.. Ok, this one was weird. I had a moment where i just forgot and tossed a little stick outside. It was a little toss but it totally hurt and i heard this sound. it was like a gurgling sound?!? TOTAL PANIC, let me tell you. It was almost a nauseating sound/feeling. I don't quite know how to describe it lol Thanks to my research i found this is normal too! PHEW! I thought i had torn something or ripped a stitch or i don't even know! Gurgling or other similar sounds can be completely normal. Apparently a little bit of air around the pocket of the implant is normal and usually reabsorbs into the body during the healing process. CRAZY! Hmmmmm what other info can I give you? Oh the ITCH! Its started lol Let me tell you, I'd rather be in pain than be itchy. Mostly itchy where all the bruising is armpits & sides and just starting around the incision areas. The Itch is good, I keep repeating to myself when i want to scratch so badly. Everything is healing!! YAY! Updated on 21 Aug 2018: I've managed most of my pain today with extra strength tylenol, so that means great progress! I'm taking a Tramadol before bed and one in the morning, Tylenol in between. Seemed to work really good today. I might try just a few Tylenol in the morning instead but we'll see how sleep is tonight... I slept semi-normal for the first time last night, on my back with just a single Endy pillow. My back thanked me this morning but i found myself very sore under the arms. I still attempted to box myself in so it would stop any rolling it worked, but i continually woke up with my elbows and arms out like 'T'. I'll try doubling my walls tonight before going back to siting upright. The itch continues... its horrendous BTW! Popped the bra off to have a peek last night, gauze had little to no residue one side on the nipple is the only spot, quite impressed! My breasts have turned a lovely shade of green lol Got super dizzy trying to take a good look at them and had to get dressed asap. I'll get better over time the more i get used to it lol Its all in my head! I've noticed some drop already, not as high up top and not as stiff. I've been able to tighten up my bra by 2 notches so the swelling is diminishing with time. Took my 2 youngest to Walmart yesterday for 1.5hrs. Walked slowly and just followed them, I didn't feel like I was overdoing it but suddenly i was just done! We actually ditched our cart the poor kids were devastated lol and the youngest couldn't understand that daddy would come right back to buy it all... life was OVER, I headed right outside to the closest bench and just sat there until my hubby came back for us. Got home and went right up to bed for a few hours. I had totally over did it. My body wasn't happy with me lol I haven't over done it since. So, take it slow! Long way to go.... I don't have any new pics yet. Tomorrows update will! Ciao Updated on 22 Aug 2018: Took a REAL shower today! Felt amazing!! First day i was able to dress myself and undress myself. Easier to move around today, needed less 'down time', and hey! I didn't get sick taking any gauze off! Win Win! Everything looks great, bruising is diminishing quite a bit & incisions look clean! Taking a little extra 'free' time while i can lol This granny bra is going to be the death of me. Its comfy for an underwire 'full strap down' garnment that my grandma would likely wear, so i'll give it that! Plus the fact that its like apart of me for the next 3 months. Otherwise... No changes! I'll probably take a little break here for a few days. Maybe we'll have some incredible changes in a few days to compare!? Curious, anyone have a second surgery specifically a TT after their augmentation? If so, how long did you wait or how long was recommended to you? Cheers! Updated on 12 Nov 2018: 250CC HP Mentor Mastopexy augmentation Loving the size! I’ve recently lost 35lb (still more to go) and it’s only enhanced everything I’ve had done. I had a few glorious days where I let the girls be free from the ‘granny bra,’ it was amazing to toss on a shirt and not worry about a bra! I’ve had a small issue with them dropping properly so I still have a cone shape when no bra is worn. You can see the height in the pictures & small dogs ear(?) on the right side or more like a small pucker. Second follow up on Dec 3, looks like a minor revision to help them drop properly. Totally not worried and know Dr. Peterson will have me all fixed in no time! During my Dec 3 apt I plan to discuss a TT and hoping we can combine the TT & breast revision together. Healing has been amazing! Happy with how fine my scars are and the silicone scar strips are amazing!! Updated on 4 Dec 2018: Had my Dec 3rd apt. With dr. Peterson. Went well & discussed my potential TT and inner thigh lipo. I have been thinking of adding a little lip plumping also, but that’s an easy add I’m sure! The boobies! Well, they’re not sitting as high as he expected, BUT the biggest contributing factor for how they’re sitting is my weight loss! It’s a Win/Lose for me lol unfortunately I’ve lost a lot of muscle tissue so I have a ‘pouch’ under the implant that’s kind of deflated. Fixable YES! But it includes a full redo, unfortunately. I’m hoping (financial wise) that I can correspond the two together. Two birds, one stone.. by not sure I can get there by February... we’ll see! Would love to do the 2 together! Regardless, we don’t do anything until the 6th month which puts us at February 16th Will keep you posted xo Updated on 26 Aug 2019: How about a 1 year update? When I had my surgery done I was 200lb Since my augmentation, I’ve lost 60lbs and had a revision done. Dr. Peterson and his staff are impeccable. There is not a detail left, question not answered nor am I left feeling uncared for. Every detail was taken care of, even the little revisions because of the fat and tissue loss. Dr Peterson is hands down the best surgeon I could have chosen. I look forward to my next surgery with you and your staff Updated on 26 Aug 2019: Updated on 28 Jun 2020: It’s been almost 2 years (Aug 2018) since my initial augmentation mastopexy and almost 1 year since my revision (Aug 2019) I’m even more in love with my breasts today than ever! The job Dr Peterson did gave me my confidence back and along with that came a whole lot of things. I strive to be fit, keeping my weight down, staying active & eating healthy. I NEVER wear a bra unless I’m running and I adore my boobies so much I wish I could show them off more!! Dr Peterson is hands down one of the best surgeons ever! His staff is equally incredible and I’m still looking forward to a tummy tuck some day in the future! My one side still has a little darkness where the revision took place but is fading out slowly!

I had my breast augmentation done by Brian Peterson. My initial surgery was May 2016. I came from Alberta and, unfortunately, by the time I was home I had suffered from a hematoma. Dr. Peterson booked me back in right away to fix the hematoma, all surgical costs were covered the second surgery. I also had issues with my left breast implant dropping. Dr. Peterson, again, booked me in right away to fix it, and again, surgical costs were covered. Do not let my additional surgeries scare you away, these are outcomes that are very rare and will most likely not happen to you. Additional surgeries were very easy and painless. Thank you so much!

I had a very positive experience while having a blepharoplasty. Dr. Peterson is a kind , considerate, knowledgable plastic surgeon. His explanations of the procedure at consultation and on the day of the procedure made me feel comfortable with my decision. It made such a difference to my eyes.
