Laser assisted hair removal is safe and usually imparts an excellent long term result. As always be sure to see a board certified dermatologist's office with extensive laser experience for the best result. Good luck.

I would advise against having anything on your skin during laser assisted hair removal. If your foundation has any color to it then it is possible that the laser could interact with the foundation and not with the hair follicles (since pigment is the ultimate target of the laser). If this interaction occurs then superficial burns may result.

Any of the neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, or Xeomin) could be used in the brow to fix this asymmetry. This should be a relatively easy fix. As always be sure to go to a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon for best results.

A combination of lasers would most likely be your best option to improve the general appearance of your skin and to help address scarring and reduce active breakouts. I would suggest a fractionated resurfacing laser with simultaneous pulsed dye laser.  A series of 1-3 treatments may be necessary for optimal end result. Good luck.

I would recommend starting with a non permanent filler first to make sure you are happy with the final cosmetic result. I routinely use Radiesse and Voluma in this area with immediate correction. As always be sure to only see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon to ensure the best result. Good luck.

I also like Radiesse as a filler for the nasolabial fold area. Radiesse gives a very natural appearance and may last upwards of one year. I have been injecting Radiesse for about 12 years now and most patients report that after a couple injections over a year or more that the filling effects persist much longer. Radiesse stimulates new collagen formation and this partially contributes to the filler lasting longer and longer over time. Good luck.

I prefer Restylane Silk, Restylane, or Belotero for tear trough deformities. Any of these fillers can make a significant improvement in under eye troughs with immediate results. As always be sure to see a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon who regularly performs fillers in this area for best results. Good luck.

Botox injections can work very nicely to soften the dynamic lines of the upper lip associated with pursing.  Small amounts should always be used in this area to avoid flattening and as always a board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon should only perform these types of injections to ensure the best result.  Fillers may also be a nice adjunct for the upper lip to further soften fine lines present at rest.  Good luck

I agree with the other doctors here that facial fillers would be a great option for you. Due to your significant weight loss it appears you have significant loss globally in your face. I would suggest starting with a hyaluronic acid filler like Restylane or Juvederm. You can always transfer over to more longer term or permanent fillers if you are pleased with the results. Good luck.

I agree with the other doctors on here that fillers would be an easy and quick way to enhance your features without looking "overdone". I too love Radiesse in this area but if you prefer starting with a filler that could be easily removed if you were unhappy with the result then I would recommend Juvederm Ultra Plus or Perlane. Good luck.

Tummy Tuck Avoided! - San Diego, CA

I had four treatments with the Exilis Elite for loose skin on my abdomen area. No amount of exercise was taking care of my problem area and I was considering scheduling a consult for a tummy tuck, but really didn't want a hip to hip scar. I tried the Exilis Elite in a last ditch effort and after four treatments I am SO happy! It tightened the entire abdomen area, flattened my mommy "pooch," and even improved the appearance an old appendectomy scar. I will be treating additional areas in the very near future!

In Need of Some Rejuvination - San Diego, CA

I've been a patient for about 5 years now and all of my experiences have been amazing and visibly rewarding. Dr. Lupton and his staff are very professional, happy and always willing to help with any questions or concerns. Dr. Lupton puts me at ease because I trust him and am always very happy with his work. I have several friends that feel the same. The Pixel treatments have tightened my skin, diminished facial/ neck wrinkles, and evened out my skin tone along with skin care line Dr. Lupton has me using. The Exilis by far is my favorite treatment, the results have made me CRAZY HAPPY!!! I am so pleased to have found Dr. Lupton and I highly recommend him to anyone who is looking for an exceptional dermatologist.

Pixel, Botox and Radiesse Look Great

I am an MD who is very careful about who I allow to work on my face and what procedures are safe and actually work. For the money, the most natural and cost-effective treatments are these. There is some slight discomfort with the Pixel treatments, but if one considers that this is an elective procedure, it's easy to get through the 7 day recovery. Pixel improved the texture of my skin and removed sun damage. It also improved the crepe paper skin under my eyes.A word of caution: Real Self readers should specifically ask what training the provider has. As an MD myself, I only allow board certified dermatologist, plastic surgeon or ENTs treat me, AND, I also require that they have done a fellowship (extra year of training) in cosmetic procedures. There are many non-qualified people out there, and the state medical board only requires an "MD" to perform the service, regardless of training. Would you want a psychiatrist to work on your face? Ask, and pay a little extra, if need be. It's worth it.

Juvederm Fixed Hollows Under my Eyes

I have developed dark hollows under my eyes in the tear trough area. I look tired no matter how much makeup I use. If I gain weight, my face looks better, so for the last several years I've had to make the classic choice for a woman my age: either my face looks good or my butt looks good. Finally I found the answer. Juvederm for the under eye area. After having injections of Juvederm there, I don't look like a tired skeleton anymore, even when I can fit in my nano-jeans. No downside except for slight bruising and slight lumpiness for the first few days. You have to go to the right, experienced, MD though. I won't let anyone except a cosmetic dermatologist, ENT or plastic surgeon touch my face. And successful Juvederm injections under the eyes is particularly doctor-dependent. Don't let a rookie mess with your eyes. Read other disaster reviews and see what I mean.

Botox is the Best Defense Against Aging.

I am 43, and thanks to Botox, I continue to get asked on dates by twenty-somethings. It's not cheap, but I feel it's worth it for my self-esteem. No downside, except for occasional bruising, which you have to expect as part of the procedure. I used it on my forehead and around my eyes to reduce the crows feet. Excellent results.

Facial Depression - Del Mar, CA

I lost substantial fat under one of my cheeks, probably due to a facelift. Doctor used 3 vials of radiesse. My face looked worse two weeks later and was also all bruised.

V Beam ( Pulse Dye Laser) - Florida, FL

I have had both IPL and Pulse Dye for my Rosacea. There is NO WAY you will get a full facial deep V beam treatment and be good a few days later! NO WAY!!! It takes at least 7 to 10 Days to look like your back to normal. The IPL took me 1 to 2 days. Depending on the aggressive treatment it may very, but a deep Pulse Dye Laser that leaves you purple and bruised takes 10 days to heal. It is true you will see some improvement but it don't come easy!!! I hope anyone understands this!
