Jonathan Sykes, MD

This was the surgery that I should have done years ago but was too much of a chicken because it looks so dang painful and the people looked miserable after the procedure. Dr Sykes told me this wasn't a painful surgery and have to say this was one of the easiest and less painful of the many surgeries that I have had done. The only annoying part is the stuffiness and sleeping sitting up...and of course getting the nose splints out. If you're thinking about doing this procedure, just do it and don't go down the whole YouTube rabbit hole like I did and talk yourself out of it.

I’m writing this a year after I had my surgery. Sorry, but it’s been a very busy year. I knew a very talented aesthetician who had had a facelift by Dr. Sykes and she looked so natural and beautiful. I went to see Dr. Sykes and I liked him and his staff from the very beginning. He has a very kind manner and I felt very confident that he would take good care of me and he did. Long story short, at 68 yrs. of age, there are no words to say how much better I look and feel. It is not obvious at all that I had a facelift. I told Dr. Sykes that I just wanted to look quite refreshed” and he certainly delivered! I would caution anyone to do their research. Any surgery has risks. I didn’t have any physical problems at all. I did have an emotional response I wasn’t expecting. I’m not from this area originally and I had no support team lined up. Didn’t think I’d need one, but I was wrong. It didn’t help that I pretty much isolated myself for a good 4 weeks. Dr. Sykes and his amazing team were always very supportive. I was thoroughly impressed that Dr. Sykes gives his patients his cell number and you are encouraged to call him when you need him. He will be there for you. In my opinion, Dr. Sykes and his amazing team (special shout out to sweet Maria) are great! Updated on 14 Nov 2023: I had technical difficulty in listing all of the procedures I had done. I want this review to be totally accurate. I had the following done: BROW LIFT FACELIFT/NECKLIFT LIP LIFT LOWER BLEPHAROPLASTY UPPER BLEPHAROPLASTY TCA PEEL P.S. I was a little afraid of a lip lift and I asked Dr. Sykes to do the “minimum”. He was totally correct in his assessment that I would benefit from it and I’m happy to say it turned out great. You will have a teeny scar for a while, but I seemed to be the only one who really noticed it.

Dr Sykes is WONDERFUL.     His attention to detail, communication pre-surgery and follow up post procedure was the best I have ever had.  The office team was exceptional both pre and post op!  The level in which the entire team kept me informed before my procedure and followed up after was a 10 out of 10.  It seems far too common to call Dr Sykes simply a "plastic surgeon". He is an Artist!!!  I absolutely love my Rhinoplasty & Upper Blepharoplasty. I feel amazing.

I am so relieved I chose Dr Sykes for my complex surgery. Dr. Sykes performed a lower facelift, revision rhinoplasty, upper and lower eyelid, and a chin implant. My rhinoplasty revision was complex as I had defects from my previous rhinoplasty in 2007. I am very meticulous in regards to my looks as I also work in the aesthetic industry. I knew I needed to choose a true artist to work on my face to bring me results that were natural looking at perfect at every angle. From the moment I contacted Dr. Sykes‘s office, I was welcomed and felt like I was a part of the family by Maria, who was there to answer all of my questions through the whole process, Jess for my after care, Gabie for my OR care, and Shannon, who did my anesthesia. These girls alongside with Dr. Sykes are an absolute dream team. I could not have asked for more. My recovery was the best it could be with no bruising around my eyes or my nose. I was nervous that my nose would be difficult to achieve what I envisioned, but Dr. Sykes was spot on. He took the time to listen to my exact needs and wants and he delivered. It has been nine weeks since my surgery and I just received my final follow up visit from Dr. Sykes and I am thrilled. The results of my surgery are absolute perfection, and most of all it does not look like I have any work done at all. Thank you to Dr. Sykes and his team for stellar work. I have, and will continue to refer all of my clients and friends to this office for their facial surgical needs.

Great doctor. He knows what he’s doing and knows what’s best for you. He would never offer something to you if it would not benefit you, only wants the best for his patients. Great rhinoplasty experience, would recommend Dr. Sykes! Updated on 26 Aug 2025: I had my rhinoplasty with Jonathan Sykes on December 20, 2022, and he completely ruined my nose. Two years later, I had to fly all the way to Turkey for a revision because the damage was so bad. The Turkish surgeon told me I had internal bleeding and that, since Sykes did a closed rhinoplasty, there were pieces of bone scattered inside my nose where I couldn’t even see them. My nose had to be entirely reconstructed, and the surgery took seven hours. He left my nose, extremely crooked, and my tip was drooping, which had a lot of irregularities and was sensitive to the touch even two years later.I trusted Dr. Sykes with my face, and he utterly failed. I would never recommend him to anyone. This was reckless, unprofessional, and completely unacceptable.

I am a 72-year-old woman who enjoys being with my family, spending time outdoors and simply living a great life. The past couple of years I felt I needed a little “pick me up” for my face and neck. After attending several consultations with physicians in my area, I chose Dr. Sykes. From my very first meeting I felt very confident Dr. Sykes would take good care of me and boy was I right! When Dr. Sykes entered the exam room, he was very friendly and relaxed. He greeted me with a warm smile and cordial handshake. Dr. Sykes then sat on one of the exam room chairs and gave me his undivided attention. Dr, Sykes discussed each surgical option that would be most advantageous for me. These options included, lifting my eyebrows, my eye lids, my upper lip area, and a neck lift. Throughout the discussion with Dr. Sykes my husband and I were both present. After we left the consultation and discussed my treatment plan, we both felt totally confident with Sr. Sykes recommendations. I had my procedure on August 22, 2022, and everything went exactly as Dr. Sykes predicted. My recovery was remarkable. My incisions healed quickly, and I experienced a minimal amount of bruising and/or swelling. Within a short amount of time, I was able to resume playing golf as well as taking my dog for her daily walks. Since my procedure I have had many compliments on the appearance of my face and neck. Most notably I hear, “your face and neck look so smooth” or “you look great” which are wonderful compliments to receive at this point in my life.I am very thankful to Dr. Sykes for the wonderful care and surgical outcome I received. Dr. Sykes and his staff are outstanding. There simply aren’t enough stars. His staff is attentive and responsive and Dr. Sykes is a master of his craft. Dr. Sykes was the second surgeon I consulted with for my rhinoplasty and as soon as I had my consult I knew I wasn’t going to find anyone with the same level of expertise as him. It was an easy decision and in hindsight an excellent decision. I am nearly four months out of my rhinoplasty and the results are stunning. I am so happy with his work. He will give you the nose that fits your face yet the change will be subtle, in the best way.

I met Dr. Sykes when I accompanied a friend to a few consultations with local surgeons for a face lift. He stood out to both of us for his friendliness, his personable approach, and his perceptive feedback as to what would give the best results. My friend decided to have him do her procedure since he noticed the ptosis in her eyes and recommended she address that at the same time as her face lift. This impressed her as she already knew she would have to deal with that surgery eventually and no other surgeon brought that up despite the fact her eye droop was quite obvious. Watching her results over time, I also decided to have Dr. Sykes do my facelift. In addition to the facelift, he recommended I have my upper and lower eyes done which I have to say was a good call. I am now seven months post surgery and am very pleased with the overall results. And, believe it or not, I have yet one more friend who also decided to have Dr. Sykes do her procedure. He recommended in addition to a facelift (which is what she was consulting him for), her outcome would be more pleasing if she had her hairline lowered. Again, his eye was spot on.

I always knew I'd get a facelift one day. At the age of 50 it was time to get serious. I did plenty of research and consulted with 3 doctors. When I met with Dr. Sykes, he explained facial balance and recommended the procedures that would suit me best. I was happy with his suggestions and certain he was the right choice. I decided on a facelift, upper and lower blepharoplasty, temporal brow lift, chin implant, and rhinoplasty. The surgery went well and the recovery wasn't too painful. I was able to go into public in about 1 week and never bruised purple. My follow up appointments were easy and all staff were caring and helpful. Dr. Sykes also provided his cell phone number so I may call at any time with any concerns, which was greatly appreciate. And the final results? The entire surgery was a slam dunk! I couldn't be happier with my new look. The results are so natural and no one can tell I've had any work done. I'm truly amazed with Dr. Sykes ability to complete multiple procedures in one operation. He is an excellent surgeon. Going forward, I know I'm in good hands with Dr. Sykes. He knows how to keep me on the path of natural beauty, with his keen eye, when I can mistakenly veer toward overdone. He keeps my best interest in mind and is now my lifetime surgeon.
