Amazing experience...amazing results!

I can't say nothing but good about Paula and Dr. Hollis. I had 2 consultations with Paula and both times she explained the procedure and product in length. No pressure to book appointments. Prices are fully transparent and I felt totally pampered getting my fillers and botox treatment! Thank you Paula and Dr. Hollis, I will be back!

Amazing Botox Results!

Dr Hollis and his team gave me my first Botox treatment recently. The results were amazing. The team at Derma Spa were patient and thoughtful- there was a team of 3! Dr Hollis, Paula and Yana who all considered my treatment plan. I felt I was in great hands at Derma Spa and would recommend Derma Spa to anyone.

11 Years Later and They Still Look Fantastic - Victoria, BC

I waited until I was almost 26 to undergo breast augmentation. It was by far one of the best (self-boost) decisions I have made for myself and I clearly chose the best doctor. Dr. Hollis has a great reputation with both patients and the medical community. He is extremely skilled, artistic, experienced and meticulous with details, yet down to earth and approachable. He helped me select the right size, projection and implant based on my body shape and desired results. I chose saline implants - 375cc (left) and 425 (right) to achieve symmetry. I was an A cup size prior, with broad shoulders and large rib cage. Post surgery I am a 36 D, which is perfect for my proportions. I 11 years later and they still look great! No sagging or anything. The implants were placed subpectoral via incisions made to the lower half of each nipple - no scars, no loss of sensation. I can't say enough good things about this doctor, procedure and results. Thanks Harlow! PS: Dr. Hollis is medical director of Derma Spa. His injection specialist, Paula, achieves amazing results for their clients using Botox and hyaluronic fillers. She is gentle as a kitten and really listens to what you want. She has a great eye for harmony and has earned a strong following.

$3,700Ear Surgery

Lilmouse85

Otoplasty - Victoria, BC

My ears had always stuck out more than my twin sisters and I had worn my hair down all through elementary and high school to hide them. One of the more memorable moments was when my best friends younger sister broke a Britain cracker in half and stuck them to the sides of her head and said "I'm Amanda!" I was 20 years old when I got this done. I had taken out a loan specifically for this surgery and my aunt new of the surgeon so we went with him. My ears are to the sides of my head which is a good thing but I still have a stitch popping out in the back and it's been several years since. I had went back a year after surgery and the doctor had told me that he couldnt remove the stitch because it was the internal one that holds my ear in place. Every now and then it gets irritated and infected where the stitch exits my skin and I clean it with listerine until it goes away... just a little something I will have to learn to live with, I guess..

Rhinoplasty

Nose is crooked

Had Rhinoplasty 10 years ago Had to go back for splits as my nose was crooked, they did not help either 2 surgeries, nose is more crooked post surgery than pre surgery When I went back again after splints, I was then told that it was cartilage and was unable to correct. Not sure why I was not told there may be this complication prior to surgery?? Very dissatisfied with end result as it feels and looks worse than it did going in

Chin Liposuction

Goodbye Double Chin

I have always had a double chin. Regardless of my weight, it has always been there. Last year I had SmartLipo on my abdomen with Dr. Hollis in Victoria BC and I went back to talk to him about my chin. He is very thorough and went into detail about how he would be doing the procedure and in particular he outlined how important it is to be careful as there is a large nerve that runs through the face and if that is damaged, it causes the mouth to droop. I made my appointment and am super excited for the results. Updated on 3 Oct 2019: Since I had Smart Lipo last year, I knew what to expect. Relatively minimal pain, a lot of bruising. So I am well stocked with arnica (oral and topical gel) plus bromelane tablets. Drinking pineapple juice helps too. First night of sleep was broken but that was because of the head wrap. It gets uncomfortable but certainly keeps the swelling down. Updated on 9 Oct 2019: I went today to get the stitches out and my doctor was really happy with the results. He mentioned that there were hard spots (I had noticed a bit of hardening two days ago) but said that will go away soon. We talked about the bruises and he said that given how much I typically bruise, I was doing very well. The biggest issue is the still the head wrap but he only wanted me to wear it full time for the first 7 days. So now I can wear it only at night if I want. I am wanting the best possible result so going to do the gradual lessening. So for the next few days I will go from 24 hours (minus showers) to about 18. Then will go for 12 hours so basically while sleeping and occasionally around the house. I plan to do that for a week or two. Finally I will do just at night. So all in all, I should be wearing it for a month. Hope my hair will forgive me. It tends to pull after a while. And as a side note when I look in the mirror, my first thought is that I look like an extra in Handmaid's Tale ;) Updated on 16 Oct 2019: Bruises are gone! It is a small miracle because I bruise like a peach. Seriously the key is witch hazel and arnica gel twice a day. Plus I take arnica 200 three times a day and bromelain. Wearing the head-wrap only at night now. My doctor says that should be enough. Occasionally there is swelling and a 'tugging' feeling and wearing the wrap alleviates that completely. About two days ago I began to get some hard spots. I asked about lymphatic massage and my doctor said that it would definitely help get to the end result faster but I would get there regardless. But he totally supported it if it would be more comfortable (Love Dr. Hollis).

$6,700Smart Lipo

DPMD

Smartlipo for 43 year old male with type one diabetes and Lipohypertrophy on abdomen due to injections.

My surgery is tomorrow morning. Don't know what to expect but heard good things about my surgeon Dr. Hollis. I have been physically active and played sport all my life however the insulin and hereditary genes have made fat accumulate on my abdomen to the point I find it hard to continue with sporting activities. Having smartlipo to strip all the fat cells and start afresh ... hopefully. Updated on 22 Aug 2017: My smartlipo to get rid of excess tissue on my stomach from my diabetes was done under general anesthetic as opposed to local. Doctor said it allows him more time to do the lipo. So far I am really happy with the results. I actually enjoyed the whole thing as it is not often I get to rest a whole day and sleep so deeply. Dr Hollis is great. He was recommended by many people so I had no fears. Although I am a some pain (nothing major) I have not felt this good in a long time. I have had to really control my Diabetes for the op and my blood sugar has been on 6-8 for 2 days which is great. I installed feel a lot lighter too which is great for when I get back to exercising. There is still some bulge at the bottom of my stomach where I had the lipohypertrophy where I had the damage from years of injecting with too long a needle (was given poor diabetic support in the early days) however it is considerably smaller than before. I will update pics when I take off bandages. Feels very strange to be posting on here after several years of reading other people's reviews. My only regret is not having done it 2 years ago. I hope this is a new start.

46 and So Ready to Get Rid of These Eyelids.

I have always had heavy eyelids, and now ever since my 40th Birthday they are wrinkled and droopy. My right lays heavy on my eye and eyelashes to the point that I often hold it up with my fingers for comfort. Botox in my forehead exasperated this, especially on my right side. My initial consult with Dr. Harlow Hollis was comforting, he is warm and funny and very informative upfront, with possible complications. I am not concerned about the procedure, though I am concerned about side effects. I have been waiting for 6 years and now I just cannot wait to get rid of these flappers.
