Dr Schaffer and his staff from beginning was kind and informative. I knew right away I wanted them preform my mommy makeover. I had a breast reduction I went from G cup to a full C. I had tummy tuck with Lipo of my flanks and muscle repair. He able remove all my loose skin plus all my c section scars, my belly ring scar, and most my gallbladder surgery scars. I’m still early in my healing but I’m very happy with my results. It can only get better with time Updated on 20 Jul 2023: Feeling more normal beside being sore and swelled at end of the day. I more easily tired but I know it from not be active for weeks and sure it get better as time passes. I’m healing really well and just start treating my scars. I been using scar cream and silicone tape.

I can't say enough about Dr. Schaffer and his entire staff. The facility is amazing and each member of his staff is super helpful and takes their time to explain any questions you may have. I have felt comfortable each visit. I had a breast augmentation in December of 2021 and it has been life changing. I was a very small A all of my life and wanted something to make my body proportionate. Dr. Schaffer helped me pick my size and Id say he picked the perfect size. If you're considering a BA, consider dr Schaffer to be your surgeon!!

I meet with Dr Schaffer to discuss my procedure that I wanted to have.He discussed the procedure and where and how he would perform and the realistic outcome. I had the surgery on 7/21/21, it was successful. The process was painful and uncomfortable at times but was worth it at the end. De. Schaffer was very thorough with my aftercare and follow up. He never rush during my visits and answered all questions. His medical team is awesome and professional. You are greeted with genuine smiles and kindness. They make you feel very comfortable. 10 years ago I had a surgery. The surgeon had about a 1 minute consultation with me. They took my payment and scheduled my surgery. At 20 years old, I had no idea my options, risks, or That me wanting huge implants could really affect my body later. I literally cringe thinking about all the things the previous doctor never explained to me and the questions I didn’t even know to ask. All I knew was he was supposed to be the best and he would tell me, right?! No. That didn’t happen. Fast forward 10 years and I start having all these complications and pain. I went back to see the same surgeon. I might have gotten an extra minute with this consult but not enough for what I was experiencing. He acted like it wasn’t a big deal. Walking out the door he said “oh your still healthy right?” And gave me a quote for surgery to fix what he should have never even done 10 years earlier. He came in and was gone before I could even ask questions. He never even told me any additional information on recovery for the repair that would have to be done. Being 10 years older with 2 kids, I’ve learned a lot when it comes to quick consults and feeling like you’re getting the cold shoulder. I felt rushed and I knew I was at the wrong place. I ended up scheduling a second opinion with Dr. Schaffer. He literally did a 30+ minute consultation. He explained what was happening and why, the risk, recovery and expectations. I had to have a pretty extensive amount of muscle repair done (due to having my first implants being way too massive for my body). It was never explained by the first doctor that I wouldn’t even be able to put my arms by my side or eventually they would end up falling in my armpits every time I laid down. So with Dr. Schaffer I got to ask the questions, and didn’t feel rushed. He gave me options and solutions. Dr. Schaffer has done surgeries on people that mean the most to me and they have all been happy as well. He and his staff have been incredible. They care, He cares, and it shows. He has exceed my expectations of what I thought I could ever look like. This has been an emotional experience for me on so many levels and he nor his staff ever made me feel crazy or like was being dramatic. If nothing else see him for a consult and see for yourself how great they are! My journey isn’t over with my recovery but there isn’t another practice I feel like would be as supportive and caring as they are and have been!

Dr. Schaffer and his staff have been absolutely phenomenal. I haven’t had surgery except to have wisdom teeth removed when I was a teenager and I was really scared about anesthesia. Dr. Schaffer and his staff made me feel so comfortable and so well taken care of and I am so pleased by my results! I have wanted a tummy tuck for a long time after taking off about 120 pounds. I now have the stomach and body of my dreams and I couldn’t be more thankful to Dr. Schaffer. I am so pleased with everything he did for me and my confidence is through the roof! I will use him for any other additional procedures I may be interested in in the future.

Dr. Schaffer gave me new life & confidence after my breast implant removal surgery. I originally had breast augmentation with another surgeon using 450 cc silicon implants. The implants were too large for my body frame and resulted in one side bottoming out, revision surgeries and pain without wearing a bra because they were too heavy. I also started to not feel like myself anymore and wanted to have them removed to reduce the pain & simply go back to being ME. A friend suggested Dr. Schaffer and I am so incredibly blessed by him and his staff. Everyone there is extremely nice, helpful and has a smile on their face. Scheduling your consultation, surgery and post op appointments are very prompt. Dr. Schaffer took the time to listen to why I wanted my implants removed and gave me several options after examining my breasts and taking measurements. I decided to have my implants completely removed, as well as a lift. I could not be more happier with the surgery & the results. My breast shape is beautiful and I feel like a new person full of confidence and love for my body. Dr. Schaffer & his team has continued to be so kind & helpful during my post op journey. I would HIGHLY recommend visiting him for any of your needs. His expertise, attention to detail & personality will make you very thankful you went to his practice.

I am about three months postop BBL... The staff is wonderful and very patient. They answer all of my call and text messages. I was sold in Dr.Schaffer when he cancelled my surgery because Labs were off to make sure I was healthy enough first to have surgery. My results aren’t final I’m in the love hate phase. I follow up with Dr Schaffer often and he reassured me that if I have the same issues with my results at 6 month he will fix them. I trust him. After I get over this hurdle I completely plan to go round 2 with a tummy and possibly round 3 with implants!  I will post pictures of my final results. Updated on 14 Dec 2020: No results After TWO rounds of surgery I’ve completely waisted $12,000. Worst decision I ever made my friend went to Miami her body was worse than mine now she looks wayyyy better than me and she only spent $5,000 My butt looked better before surgery and I look like I didn’t pay for lipo on my upper and lower abdomen and flanks which I did at 1200 per area.. absolutely no results in so depressed about this...

My weight has been a struggle for most of my life. Consequently after losing weight (and keeping it off) I am left with saggy skin. My before pics will tell that story. Dr. Chris Schaffer in the Birmingham, AL area was my surgeon and I had the arm lift done the same day as my tummy tuck. I've been very please it's the results and thankfully have experienced swelling in my arms or hands. I had no tubes in my arms, just for the tummy tuck. Went to my 4 week appointment last week and everything is healing great and I've started using scar cream. My arms scars aren't bad at all and the scar line is perfectly position so when my arms are down you can't see if from the front or the back. I have one small "dog ear" on my left are but I have been massaging it to break down the scar tissue and I have already notice a difference.I will be excited to wear something other than 3/4 sleeves or long sleeves all the time for spring and summer next year. Updated on 29 Sep 2020: I had arms (aka Bingo Arms) that would keep moving after I stopped moving. I had to wear size medium tops to account for their size. I would only wear long sleeve or 3/4 length sleeves (in Alabama - in the summer) just to hide them and the loose skin from losing weight. Getting this surgery (at the same time as my tummy tuck) was a dream come true. Updated on 29 Sep 2020: These were taken a couple days after surgery. Really didn’t have pain, just tightness and they felt sore. I followed Dr Schaffer’s post surgery instructions to ensure I get the best results. Updated on 29 Sep 2020: The steri- steps hung on to week 3. I would trim off the loose parts. I so pleased with the size of my arms. When I would look at myself in the mirror before surgery- they are the size I expected (prayed) they would be. The scar lines are perfectly placed too. Updated on 29 Sep 2020: I’ve got a Lot more flexibility in my arms and was told I could start the scar cream now. Most of the scars on my arms are fairly light anyway. I do have a small ‘dog ear’ but I am using massage and scar cream to break that scar tissue down and I’m already seeing improvement. Still faithfully wearing compression garments except when in the shower. I do love the feeling when I take it off for a few minutes! Updated on 11 Oct 2020: It’s been just over 6 weeks since I had my arms done and I am so happy with the results! The scars are fading and the “dog ear” on the inside of my left elbow has flattened a lot. I started using scar cream after my 4 week visit and do massage on my scars to break down the scar tissue. I do notice some pulling as I extend my reach, but that makes sense. I expect that will go away as the healing continues. Dr. Schaffer said I don’t have to use the compression sleeves unless I notice some swelling. I was only taking it off to shower and it was always such an “aaahhhh” moment to get that off. I’ll go back ito see Dr Schaffer in a month.

I visited due to my sister being a tummy tuck patient of his and her results were nice. The tummy tuck experience from consultation to operation was smooth. My healing went well except for a top bulge and my flanks may still be swollen. I'm still early so no worries. My scar looks nice and low and I LOVE my belly button. Everyone tells me it looks perfect. We all search for perfection but I believe I got realistic results and I'm happy. I highly recommend.
