TV sets go from "Boob tubes" to Botox tubes

High definition television technology paired with highly Botox injected TV stars is becoming a problem for Hollywood studios.

Behind the scenes, casting directors, writers and directors are doing their best to make the stars of their respective TV shows appear natural, with character in their faces, as opposed to coming across on screen as a frozen figure. Whether roles are being given to performers who are still able to express facial emotions, or plastic surgery is written into their character's lives, the extreme close-ups that HDTV provides are making all nip and tuck procedures glare on screen.

Stars such as Delta Burke of "Boston Legal," have recently decided to ditch Botox. The 50 year old actress notes, "When I'm watching myself I'm not moving."

As one casting director put it, "Frozen isn't funny."

I wonder if the demand for natural looking characters will turn the tide on cosmetic surgery procedures for TV's top stars.

Have you noticed the plastic surgery of stars on your favorite shows? Do you find it distracting? Share your comments!
