Jaime Pressly's anti-aging secret: water, exercise...and snake venom
I recently called out Jaime Pressly in this very blog for aging herself with that radioactive tan.
Last Tuesday, Jaime hosted a party at Sonya Dakar 's new Beverly Hills clinic for the launch of Sonya's UltraLuxe skincare line. When E!'s Ted Casablanca asked if the new line could help stars to avoid going under the knife, Jaime said: "I think there's tons of ways to avoid plastic surgery, like just drinking a ton of water and exercising and taking care of yourself in general."
This is what so ticks me off about celebrities. She's promoting an anti-aging skincare line, yet still trying to stick to the whole "water and exercise" thing?
Of course good health is important, but don't pretend you're not getting a little help beyond healthy habits. One ingredient of the UltraLuxe line smooths skin by mimicking the paralyzing effect of snake venom. Snake. Venom. Yep, this is the same stuff our friend Ageless in Seattle told us about a few weeks ago.
Creator Sonya Dakar says the Syn-ake (synthetic temple snake venom) "inhibits muscle contraction to help prevent and soften the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, without any side effects. It works during the course of the product’s application.

Once the product is completely absorbed into the skin, normal muscle contraction ability returns." Water and exercise? please.
Luckily, Jaime saved the whole "water and exercise" thing by adding, with a touch of realism, "But, you know, aging is inevitable. When I'm 50, I may say 'Ya know what, it's time for the facelift myself.' Who knows? I'm not one to tell people not to go get plastic surgery done if they want it, but at the same time, I'm definitely down for doing anything I can to try to not get that."
