Hi, I'm Dr. Dan Shapiro. I'm a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. And I've been performing cosmetic or [inaudible 00:00:10] plastic surgery in the Scottsdale Paradise Valley area since 1992. I consider myself quite knowledgable about cellulite because I'm one of the few people that perform Cellulaze in the area, which is the first long term, more permanent treatment of cellulite that tends to approach it on an anatomical basis. With that in mind, people ask me, 'Who are the best candidates for Cellulaze?' Of course, I'd have to examine a patient to see whether or not they're a candidate. But if I were to make a ball park estimation, I would say the best candidates for Cellulaze are people that have had long term dimpling, find that their skin is not especially lax. And when I say that, if you can pinch a lot of skin on your thighs, you're probably not the greatest candidate for Cellulaze, because Cellulaze not only takes care of the dimpling, but it helps tighten the skin. But, I think that you need to have a certain amount of skin elasticity for me to see that nice result. Also, you want to make sure that you're not making an investment that you're going to be disappointed about. So I think skin elasticity is very important. Age-wise, I don't think that that really matters. I've seen many patients in their 40s and 50s that have wonderful skin elasticity and have had wonderful results from Cellulaze. Whereas I've seen people in their late 20s and early 30s that seem to have a family history of very poor elasticity. They may have actually had liposuction in the past so they have some extra skin. These patients are not such good candidates for Cellulaze. So the other treatments... you could go and have some more temporary treatments for the skin laxity. There's some non-invasive treatments for the skin laxity but the best way to know whether or not you are the best kind of candidate for Cellulaze is to come in and get a consultation. Thank you.
