I had a Vi peel done 4 days ago and started to notice significant swelling around my mouth area about 72 hours after the peel. The skin had already shed away and now my new skin underneath is all swollen to the point where I can't open my mouth. It's so swollen my skin is starting to crack. I tried the hydrocortisone cream and it has done nothing to help. Is this normal and how long should this last? Is this an allergy and if so could it be to the peel or the hydrocortisone cream?
I had chemical peel 2 days ago and jueverderm yesterday. My lips look great no real swelling where I had the injections just sweliing in eyelids and undereylids
The next day, after I woke up from having the vi peel, there was quite a bit of puffiness underneath my eyes (like small bags of loose skin) that I never had before, and my eyelids were a bit swollen. Is this normal and will it go away? What can I do to make the puffiness and swelling go down? I'm 55 years old, and not in that bad of shape. I scuba dive and am pretty active. I have been out in the sun during my lifetime, so have had some sun damage. I'm sorry, I don't have a picture.
I received a ViPeel on Friday, it is now Tuesday. I did the normal peeling, now I am swollen, beet red, having splotchiness, and am peeling again. My face hurts, and it is hard to even open my mouth because of the dry skin, pain. Is this normal? I have called my plastic surgeons office, and they said it could be normal. On my own, I have started antibiotics and valtrex. The girl that gave me the peel said I had "excellent" frosting, and would get a great result. Is this normal?
I had a vi peel and botox one week ago. After about 3 days, my eyelids were red and swollen and sagging. My doctor was out of town for three days. When I saw her, she said it was an allergic reaction to the vi peel (she did apply it to my eyelids), and prescribed prednisone. I haven't read anything suggesting an allergic reaction like that to the vi-peel. I think it could have been a reaction to the botox. Please give any suggestions.
