If the literature shows that it's not the sutures but the scar tissue that holds the diastasis repair together, why aren't more surgeons using long term dissolvable sutures? Permanent sutures or dissolvable
In 2015 I had a hernia repair. My body rejected the mesh that was implanted and it became infected. 10 days later I was back on the operating table for a 2nd surgery due to severe pain and throwing up infection and bowel. They had to remove part of my small intestine. Mesh was removed and another one was inplanted. Barely 18 months later the hernia is back and an abdominal wall reconstruction surgery is highly recommended by my doctor. Due to the complexity of this surgery will I survive?
It was almost all the way healed. Then started slowly opening up and the little white dissolvable stables kept popping out. I am on week 8 and this is my stomach today. Dr says it will heal fine and no need to resuture it. Is that true? It hurts incredibly bad deeper than just topically. Suggestions of how to proceed?
I had TT In March 2014 and have continued to have rejected internal sutures make their way out externally either through puncturing my belly button, along my TT incision line and the most recent rejected suture is making its way out thru my pubic area where the drainage tube was place post op. Fat Necrosis is this 6mm hard mass above my belly button and below my breast bone, it's painful & tender. Do I have any other options regarding removal of mass & Internal sutures other than surgery?
It's been years since my tummy tuck but my body has been rejecting the green non dissolvable sutures according to my surgeon. The affected areas started bruising then swelling until I started feeling a poking sensation which resulted in tearing of my skin, fluid coming out, soreness etc. I had 2 of them fixed and I'm hoping that the rest of the sutures will not give me the same problem. Please tell me why this is happening despite of the fact that it's been years since I had my surgery?
