I had a rhinoplasty 6 months ago. I have a SEG placed and dorsal hump removal. I am wondering if this is pinch tip or notching or from the removal of cartilage as my nose was very bulbous before. Looks like theres a small indent on the top of my nose too on the left side.
I got a primary rhinoplasty done 3.5 months ago. My dorsal hump was resected and used as a columnar strut. There is still some swelling in the supratip region. Is my nose tip rotated too upwards? Im worried that it looks unnatural and looks obvious that I had surgery. Doctor told me that the tip might drop 1-2mm in the first month, but till now it hasnt dropped. I have thick oily skin, will the tip drop gradually with time? Also, how long after surgery can I get filler in the tip region?
At 9 months my surgeon said we can go in and do a minor revision to my nose . At 9 months my surgeon said that is ok I have thin skin . He will take temporal fascia to cover the two points in my tip and trim one graft that is pressing down on my nostril . Why is my surgeon ok with 9 months and others say 12 months ? Is 9 months to early with thin skin? There has been no change in my nose since 12 weeks .
I'm Hispanic and of medium skin color. I had a rhinoplasty about 9 months ago. The summer heat recently started and I noticed my nose started getting splotchy, while the rest of my face hasn't. Is this normal? Should I be worried about an infection or necrosis or is the skin still sensitive to the sun? Would appreciate help on this.
I am 18 with unilateral cleft palate. And my cleft side is the left side so i feel my entire nose is bent on the left side! Before it did droop and that has been improved by i feel like the entire nose has just been made bent and is noticeably all to the left side. Please advise me I cannot stop crying. But by evening time today i have got used to it however realistically is this how it will more or less look forever?
1.5 years post rhinoplasty Overall results are okay, but I cannot breathe out of the right nostril still. A small amount of air can make its way in and out. I also have unevenness from below and I am wondering if the right side has slight collapse. I was advised to continue nasal spray but that hasnt resolved the issue. If I pull the cheek slightly or push the lower nostril slightly outward, I can breathe.
There's a bony callous that is on one side of nose bridge that's causing my nose to look lopsided. It's been 2.5 years since my primary rhinoplasty, and more than a year since I had minimal rasping done on top of my nose bridge to remove a small bump, but it wasn't near this area at all. Most of my swelling has subsided but this hasn't gone away and it feels hard like bone. My surgeon isn't taking my concern seriously. Worth getting a 2nd opinion to get it rasped down?
My open rhino was in 7/2022. I requested dorsal reduction, droopy tip & bulbous tip correction. Since my surgery Ive had many issues- retraction, valve collapse, no tip support. My dr hasnt listened to my concerns. I questioned why grafts werent use to support my tip & he claims hes never heard of grafts being use in primary rhino. Hes also accused me of having Mnchausens & being his only problem patient. Hes denied things that he wrote in my office notes. What do I do?
