My doctor and I discussed my postop rhino and it was stressed that I wanted a scooped sloped nose. Unfortunately even when the cast was off my nose is completely STRAIGHT. I felt he was quick to dismiss me from my post op appointment. While my nose looks much better than before (dorsal hump removal) the slope is not there
I had a closed rhinoplasty in July 2016, and I'm completely devastated with the results right now. Last week my surgeon injected a steroid in the lower bump (which he thinks is scar tissue) and said I should notice a difference in a couple of weeks. It's only made the indentation more obvious. He told me if it doesn't look better in a month or two, he would want to file it down with a needle. I'm terrified. Any advice? Do you think I will need a revision?
I am a male, 8 months post-op, who had a rhino+septoplasty. My surgeon and I discussed having a slightly concave dorsum, but instead it was extremely scooped, right down the dorsum, AND scooped around my radix. I now have a small, short nose and no nose bridge. What are my options to fix the large scoop and the low radix? I'm not sure how much septal cartilage I have left. Could ear or rib cartilage be used to sufficiently augment an overly concave dorsum and low radix? Thank you for your time.
