Nose is quite sore and will not stop running. I have been blowing it gently. My nose was already still swollen before the cold and now it has really puffed up. Just wondering if this will effect my healing results or just make it take longer for the swelling to go down?
The operation room was very cold and I was shivering before I went under septerhinoplasty surgery. The air conditioning in the room after my surgery didn't help either. Now I got the flu and have coughed couple of times which causes me to bleed more. I have mucus in my throat and my chest feels a bit painful. What should I do?
I had a rhinoplasty 4 weeks ago and came down with a pretty bad cold/flu as of last night. My nose is quite blocked up and tender, and Im wondering if being sick will increase chances of infection, or if that should be a concern at 4 weeks post-op? Was going to call my surgeon tomorrow to check in, but thought Id try here first to get some opinions. Thanks!
Ive had the flu since 3/5 (today is 3/7). Ive had a steady fever since then. Im at 100.8 now. Im hoping that this will pass without any major complications. Can the flu virus three weeks out postpone a surgery? If I end up going to the ER I assume my surgeon needs to know. My rhinoplasty is 3/27.
Rhinoplasty in 2011 now have trouble breathing and sick ever since. Deviated septum w/enlarged turbinates since birth, I always have the flu, cold after taking a shower or walking 30 min symptoms get worse. Flu like, w/ extreme fatigue, ear pain & brain fog. I have an autoimmune disease hashimoto since 2011 being treated w/medication but not the cause. Could these symptoms are because of my nose problems? Do I need to think about a virus/immunesystem? I tested for sinus problems there is nothing to see.
I got a flu shot yesterday because I am volunteering and it's required. A day after I woke up with really swollen lips--almost looses like female lip injections--, and I am creating a correlation with the flu shot. Will my upper lip swelling negatively affect the results of my surgery, which was 6 and a half weeks ago. Also wil getting more shots (MMR) adversely affect anything. Thank you.
