I am a sensitive skin individual and healthy in all regards. take only vitamin D supplement. What foods should I incorporate in my diet to minimize bruising and swelling post surgery. would bromelain , turmeric supplements help if I start taking them 3-4 weeks before my surgery?
Hi, What protocols/regimens should I observe for red light therapy and bromelain/arnica post rhinoplasty? I asked surgeons office. They responded that I could do both, but had no specific instructions to provide on when to start, what frequency etc. Many thanks for your advice!
Hi, I already talked to my surgeon, but I wanted a second opinion. I am exactly 2 weeks post-op and of course still experiencing a ton of swelling. I've been taking arnica & bromelian religiously since I've been in recovery, but know that it just takes time & patience. I'm concerned though because my nostrils look really different and the middle almost looks like it's attached/healing crooked. Do you think it's just swelling?
I had rhinplasty about a month ago and i have very thick skin. My nose is still very swollen. I decided to buy both arnica montana and bromelain because i hear they are both great for swelling. But i was wondering how long should i take them? i read that you only suppose to take Arnica for a week and Bromelain for 2 weeks. But i have been taking Arnica for a week and my nose is still very swollen should i stop taking them or not?
I started taking bromelain after my surgery cause I heard pineapple enzyme is good for nasal swelling. The Bottle says healthy digestion Im assuming theyre the reason why i have to use the restroom more regularly. Will this make me lose weight ? I dont want to lose weight Im actually under weight. I want to gain wait but after my surgery I even lost more weight.
Dear Doctors, I am concerned about a persisting polly beak at 3 months post (closed) op. I tape my nose on a daily basis, which slightly helps. I stopped massaging as this appears to increase my swelling. I take bromelain and arnica. What worries me is that this 'swelling' is not getting better but even worse on some days. What other possibilities do I have? For example, what would the advantages/disadvantages of injecting cortisone in this case be? TYIA.
I'm one month post rhinoplasty and getting different opinions from doctors. The plastic surgeon suggested hydorquinone which my derm does not recommend 1) putting around the eye and 2) said it would penetrate deep enough to remove the staining since it only works on the surface. The derm recommended a vitamin k cream. What else can I do? How long till it's fully gone? Is there a chance it is permanent?
Being that I am not too thrilled with the result of my nose job (got surgery last oct 2011). I was told that I still may have swelling in the tip and to possibly use bromelain to help reduce the swelling. Is this an accurate opinion/statement? I know most people take it when they're only a couple weeks post op. what about 8-9 months? Also, my tip feels hard, rock like and numb. Is that a sign of swelling that could potentially go down? Especially with the use of bromelain? Thanks
