Rhinoplasty + Birth Control Q&A

In the next few months I'm hoping to get a rhinoplasty to get rid of my dorsal hump. I'm in the process of researching doctors and am speaking with my mom who is also a doctor, and from what I've read general anesthesia is much safer than sedation. I am anxious about any potential complications such as death from anesthesia. Could the fact that I take lexapro and birth control pills cause any complications?

If yes, how long should I stop using NuvaRing or any other birth control pills before having the injections? Thanks.
