I've been stalking real self for about a year in regards to tummy tucks. I have a vertical scar from an emergency c section 14 years ago. I also have had laproscopy surgeries that have left my belly button misshapen. I'm 5 foot 4.25 inches. :) and weigh 128. I my weight is steady . I want this done so badly. I seen a picture of myself that was taken in April and thought ewww I don't feel like I look like that. I need my belly to match how I feel. I am a nurse so I know recovery but that also makes me a baby. Lol. That's how we are. I've planned for March because it will give me time to save money and be able to get the time needed off work.

Way to go on starting your journey and thanks for sharing it with us. I keep reading about so many women who wished they had taken more time off work to recover, so I hope you're able to do that.

Doc recommends 2 weeks. Idk if that's long enough or not. I'm weary. Some recover fast and others not so fast. I guess there is no way to know until we are in the thick of it.

Hi did you meet with any other surgeons? I am in same area and am wondering what made you choose this doc? I have meetings with two others and am thinking of getting a third consult

@state721...just my 2 cents, I believe it doesn't hurt to go on multiple consults.

I liked his work plus he is very nice and patient. I did not feel rushed at all. He spent a lot of time with me. I had my breast done somewhere else had a consult with him for tummy tuck but did not feel as confident as I did with sherbet

EXCITED!!

pink73
Today I got approval for my time off work for recovery. I'll be off for 14 days on for 2, as I'm going back on a Thursday, then off sat and sun. This way I feel I can ease back into work. I'm a nurse and do home care so my days are pretty manageable. I'm totally excited. I was in a patient's home today when I got the email. I know I was beaming. Lol. Wha hooooo

Wow, that is exciting. 2 weeks, is good 3 would be better 4 would be best. But I imagine not possible. Take it easy when you go back. I remember going to dinner at 2 weeks, and it was tough. I couldn't stand up straight until 3 weeks. But I've heard from others, that they were able to stand up straight in a week. I think it depends on each person. Wish you the best... start your count down!!! Check out azsunshine, she has a good review and lots of helpful info.

Thank you. If I look like you in the end that would be success to me

Exciting! Just remember to walk a little bit every few hours as soon after surgery as you can, and rest otherwise. The rest definitely helps! You're gonna look amazing!!!!

Exciting! I'm scheduled for March 6th also.

Yay. I'm getting nervous even though there is still a bit of time to go. The recovery is unnerving the unknown.

Nerves haven't kick in for me...fingers crossed they don't! Right now I'm still excited, kinda like waiting for xmas as a kid. I think reading all the different reviews has help me to understand we all heal differently and also know its a marathon, not a sprint. Patients will be key. :)

The last month pre

I cannot believe I'm in the final month pre surgery. I have been thinking about this seriously for the past couple of years and now the time is coming. I'm getting nervous about spending the money more than anything. I trust in my surgeon so I have no fear of his work. I'm also nervous about how I'm going to feel at 2 weeks post op when I go back to work. Idk about where i should recover the first week as my boyfriend and I do not live together he can't stay at my house the entire week he will have to go back to his but I know I will be more comfortable at mine. I don't want to be left alone either. It's a decision that needs to be made, soon.
