My nose was not horrible (noted by Dr. Pontell as...
My nose was not horrible (noted by Dr. Pontell as well), but it definitely was too big for my face, had a very bulbous, undefined tip, and drooped when I laughed or smiled. It made my face look very undefined and I hated taking pictures because of it. My chin was also another area that I've always hated because it was very recessive and made my face look very round and fatter than it actually was.
Dr. Pontell is very skilled at what he does. His work is very neat, clean, and precise. He's very straightforward, doesn't try to up sell, and is confident in his abilities and in what he can do. I booked several consultations with him when I was deciding, and he spent about an hour with me during each consultation answering all my questions, showing me picture of patients, and showing me images and drawings of what happens during the actual procedure.
The only con that I can cite, is that I would have hoped that he would have spent more time with me right before the surgery, in the pre-op, as he was drawing on my face, to go through everything he was going to do, as I was a nervous wreck and that would have definitely put my mind at ease, especially since it had been about a month since I saw him last. I think I tried at one point to ask a question about what he was going to do and he said - Yep, it was what we had discussed.
I had no pain with my nose, but the chin was a little sore for about 3 days. Other than that, it was just being very uncomfortable - mouth breathing, coughing up a lot of mucous, and I did deal with some dizziness, of which a little bit still remains.
Dr. Pontell was very careful and gentle with the cast removal and stitch removal process. He did get a little short with me when I started asking questions after the cast removal about swelling and nose changes - not sure what that was all about. Otherwise, this process was pretty much pain free as well, which was a nice surprise, as I was expecting the worst. There was only one stitch that I felt a little bit of pain with, otherwise, no pain at all.
His office is very clean, sleek and modern looking. My wait time was never more than 5 minutes. Office staff is fine. Kay is professional; can come off as a bit cold, not the most chatty person, but quick with paperwork and having Dr. Pontell return calls. Dr. Pontell's assistant Kat was very nice and warm in the interactions that I had with her.
I'm a little over 2 weeks post op now and am very pleased with the results so far. Those that I've told about it, said I look amazing, like a better version of myself, and those that I didn't tell, didn't really notice anything. I did have someone ask if I went away on vacation, as I looked refreshed and very well rested. Job well done Dr. Pontell!

Dr. Pontell is very good at what he does; his work speaks for itself. I went from an overly bulbous, droopy nose to a very neat, cute nose that fits my face, and the chin implant really brought great balance to my face. Dr. P is not the most chattiest person, but he's very thorough in all the follow ups, ensuring healing is going well, asking targeted questions, and throwing some understated humor in the mix.
