I hated my nose for years and recently decided to go ahead and get a rhinoplasty. I live in Texas and had met with several surgeons and was almost ready to go with one of them. One of my friends who lives in Atlanta begged me to just meet with Dr. Walker first. I flew into town last minute and he was able to squeeze me in. I LOVED his demeanor and bedside manner. He spent SO long explaining the process to me, and instantly made me feel comfortable. His proposed operative time was longer than the other surgeons I met with. I now realize why. He is precise and has an eye for detail. Now about actual procedure. I had everything wrong with my nose, but my main issues were the tip, the wide bridge and hump. The surgery itself was fine - I didn't feel anything. The post op was manageable as well. I bruised a bit but it was nothing compared to the pictures I saw online. I, later, found out that he uses special techniques to avoid unnecessary bruising - even if it is cumbersome for him. He checked in with me several times during the healing process and he was so pleasant to work with. I got my cast off today, and I might have squealed a little. I love it. The thing is, I can breathe so much better already. It's like a wind tunnel with air swishing into my nose. Aesthetically, the hump is gone, the tip is lifted and even my own mother couldn't pinpoint what was different about me but I just looked 'prettier'. That is precisely what I was going for. Dr. Walker told me that my nose is still swollen and it will go down over the next few weeks. WOW, even if I my nose stayed the way it is now - I would be thrilled. I can't imagine that it is going to get better. I keep looking in the mirror in shock. I no longer have to hide my lower face when I laugh because I am worried about my tip looked like a bird's beak. I am typically very hard to please and do not easily gush but this man is a MAGICIAN. I do not regret flying to another state at all and plan on recommending Dr. Walker to everyone! A well composed surgeon who pays meticulous attention to detail = JACKPOT.
