Tummy Tuck Gone Wrong

If I could give no stars, I would! It took a long time to post a review because my experience was that horrible not only with the Dr. Park but the staff and Dr. Okoro. I came to Georgia Plastic for a tummy tuck after receiving a consult with another doctor, I decided that Georgia Plastic would be a better fit because of their post op care and surgery center being all in one place—-Big mistake!!

I met with both Griffon and Scarlet on two separate occasions as this was no easy decision to have this surgery. I was explained that I’d have a full abdominoplasty with hernia repair. I booked my surgery after about a year from my first consultation with them. I also received a quote for a breast lift.

This is where it went wrong—

I booked for the tummy tuck and later added the breast lift. After my surgery and seeing my results, I felt something went very wrong. Upon reviewing my quotes received, I noticed when I called in to have my breast lift added there was a change made. This was a change that was NEVER discussed with me, which was as Dr Okoro described a technique of a full abdominoplasty—floating abdominoplasty.

When I requested a meeting with Dr. Okoro, Dr. Park, and staff to resolve my concerns and correct the error it became worse. Griffon was the only one who extended an apology and explained she didn’t know why or how that happened especially without my knowledge but the only thing she could say is that it happened during COVID-19 and their office was trying to adjust to all the changes.

Dr. Okoro is a pure piece of work!!! He told me that I was so excited about my surgery I don’t know what I was told and not told—how insulting!! Surgery is such a serious thing. I was very clear on my surgery plan.

I selected Dr. Okoro for his reputation but never actually met with him. After having my surgery cancelled because my hemoglobin was .3 less than what they required, I then booked with Dr. Park as Dr. Okoro was booked out.

Note..prior to the cancellation with Dr. Okoro I was called monthly to book with Dr. Park which should have been a red flag.

When I met with Dr. Park he clearly did not read my file as he thought I was an online patient. He told me «my you’re getting a lot of work done »
I was scheduled for a tummy tuck and breast lift. No lipo—that’s IT a tummy tuck and breast lift.

After the surgery, I expressed my concern with Dr. Park first, as my doctor. He told me that he didn’t opt to do a full abdominoplasty without the floating technique as I was one of the cases that was borderline. My stretch marks were extensive and that’s the reason for the loose skin.

None of this was explained to me during any of my consultations with either Dr. Park, Griffon, or Scarlet!! Three different times but Dr Okoro told me in the meeting I don’t know what I remember. He nonchalantly told me he didn’t care—what can I do?…write a review?…sue them? I never once mentioned any of these things or alluded to them. All I wanted was for my bad results to be corrected. I was told that I needed to wait to see what my body does as I’m still in the healing process and he told me he has my back but NEVER have I received ANY follow up from them. I waited to «see what my body does » I’m now, 1 year and 7 months post op. I posted pictures. No weight change. I workout regularly and eat clean. You be the judge!!

Questionable posts of « his work » on instagram for Georgia Plastic are used to help build Dr. Park’s clientele but surgery is a serious thing and I was NOT perfected by Dr. Park. It’s interesting my results were never posted but there was no error and according to Dr. Okoro, my surgery went well. Bottom line, Dr. Park wasn’t experienced enough to deliver the results I paid my hard earned money for. Dr. Okoro denied any error and in the same breath reviewed with Dr. Park where Dr. Park went wrong within my surgery. Unbelievable!! It was a nightmare meeting and experience!! I look at my body everyday and regret trusting them with doing my surgery. My breast lift was okay but I believe it could have been even better if he’d been more experienced. 1 year and 3 months I went to another doctor and was informed I definitely could have been snatched even with my stretch marks but of course because of the stretch marks it can become loose but not to the degree of my current condition. By the way I was never snatched after Dr. Park’s work."
Note! In the beginning of the meeting, Dr. Okoro showed several pictures disclosing patient faces. I was so shocked by the entire meeting. After my 1 year post op, (the waiting to see what my body does period) I rescinded my agreement to share pictures, not that they would given the circumstances.
