Soooo Happy I Finally Did It! Thousand Oaks, CA

I waited a long time to finally muster up the courage, but so glad I did it (at age 57). I had a previous scar that caused fat to bulge over my bikini line - it was getting ugly. The older I got, the worse, and more visible it got. It now looks GREAT, flat, trim, and the doctor also removed LOTS of tummy fat and lots from my hips (which were always too big) all that at no extra cost. I fit into smaller pants now and look a LOT better. Recovery was super easy, it went very fast. I took ten days off work but started working at home after one week. I was able to walk into her office the day after procedure. Never had any real pain, only discomfort even though the cut from from hip to hip and a drain for a few days. The nurses at the surgical center said they love my Dr.; she gives an excellent combination of meds so you wont get dizzy or nauseous after the procedure (and anesthesia, which often happens). The compression garment was very helpful. I got the surgical one they rec. and also got maidenform compression under garment on amazon and wore under my clothes to work. Also really liked the surgical center, very professional. All around excellent, my only regret is that I waited too long.

The scar line is completely covered by panties, bathing suit.

Results were not symmetrical. One side of the tummy tuck had to be re-done (in the office). Lipo on the hips was good, very effective. Front still not symmetrical and now I have a vertical ridge of hard/scar tissue under the belly button. Also, the flesh under the surgery line bulges out a bit. Although immediately after surgery my stomach looked totally flat above the belly button line the loose skin and bumpy fat is still there, and I did not gain any weight. Although I liked my Dr. I found the results less than what I would have expected for both this and my lower lid surgery. Results better on one side than the other.
