I would highly recommend Dr Sim Choroomi as either a ENT or cosmetic surgeon. I was recommended to Dr Sim Choroomi by another ENT specialist. She advised that he was very conservative in his approach and if he didn’t feel like I needed surgery he would talk about other options which may help with my issues. Dr Sim is an approachable and personable surgeon, he discussed clearly what he thought my best options were and answered all my questions. He is very patient and does not pressure you in to following through with surgery if he feels that this is your best option. Dr Sim Choroomi has studied in LA with plastic surgeon ‘Dr Nassif’ star of the TV show ‘Botched’. He is one of the few surgeons that spends a minimum of 3 hours on each operation and will only operate on 2 patients daily. I was told this by his anaesthesiologist before going in to surgery. She told me that I made the right decision in choosing Dr Sim as he is a perfectionist, takes his time and will not leave the operation until he feels that he has achieved the best result for each of his patients. I was apprehensive about the post operation task of removing my stitches and splints which is conducted a week after surgery. My apprehension came from family members and friends telling me about their experiences with their surgeons (not Dr Sim) and their feedback was that the removal of their splints was more painful then child birth. Dr Sim performed this task himself which I believe normal practise by other surgeons is that patients are sent in to a room like a production line and nurses remove the stitches and splints before they see their surgeon for their post op visit. Dr Sim took his time and spent 45 mins, he used numbing spray, removed the stitches and splints very gently and I barely felt any pain. From a functional perspective my breathing and sinus issues have been totally resolved. Before the surgery I also told Dr Sim I wanted my results to look as natural as possible, I did not go in to any detail of what that was to look like but he totally nailed the result. My nose is small, petite, pretty, yet natural in appearance. He is a trained professional and does not need in depth detail as to what you want the tip to look like etc, he knows what he needs to do. Given his training background in LA, I believe he would be the best surgeon to use if you have any revision work as well. I am over the moon with my results from a cosmetic and functional perspective and I believe he is one of the best cosmetic surgeons in Sydney. I highly recommend Dr Sim Choroomi.
