After a 75 Lbs. Weight Loss over 8 Years Ago, I Finally Got my Much Needed "Mommy Makeover"! - Scottsdale, AZ

WORTH IT$18,000
Today as I am writing this review, I am 2 weeks post-op and still can’t believe I went through the process of getting a “mommy makeover”! Here is a little history about me….about 8 years ago, I was at my heaviest weight (over 200 lbs. and only 5’2) and miserable. I had lost weight in the past, but only to gain it back. So this time I had to do something different….I had to make it a lifestyle change! Through proper nutrition and exercise I was able to lose over 75 lbs. and have kept it off for nearly 8 years.
Losing the weight sparked a fire in me to learn as much as I can about health and wellness; therefore, in 2009 I went back to school and in 2013 obtained my BS in Health and Wellness. Afterwards, I became an ACE (American Council on Exercise) Certified Health Coach and Personal Trainer; and started working towards my MS in Health Education. This past January, I left my 18+ year in banking to start my own health and wellness business that offers online programs and in-person health coaching.
However, as many women know after major weight loss, you end up with some excess skin no matter how much you exercise. My excess skin would actually hinder me from progressing to the next level in my fitness, and cause me to gain and lose 10 – 15 lbs. over and over again. Even though I was educated as health and wellness professional, my excess skin made me feel like I fraud. Seeing that extra skin has caused me to become very depressed at times and wanting to throw in the towel because no matter what I ate or how much I exercised, I ALWAYS had extra skin in my midsection that I had to try and hide.
With the wonderful support of my husband and leaving my corporate job, this January was the perfect time to have my surgery. I ended up getting a tummy tuck, liposuction on abdomen and flanks and mastopexy (breast) augmentation (saline, 400cc).
Despite not being at my ideal weight at the time of surgery (day of surgery I was 151), I am still very pleased with my results! I will say the first few days sucked, but each day is getting so much better and I’m moving around pretty good.
Getting my “mommy makeover” was the best decision and I am so happy I overcame my fear and got it done! Can’t wait to get back into the gym and see where I can take my fitness level too.

6 weeks PO (03/12/2015)
Today I am 6 weeks PO and feeling freaking awesome!!! Monday (4 days early), I decided to go back to the gym I belong to. Have been taking boxing and kickboxing classes this week and boy does it feel good to be back. It's a HUGE difference working out now without having that extra skin in my midsection. Though my endurance is not were it was prior to surgery, I am still holding up better than most in the class. :) :) :) Being in good physical shape, proper nutrition, and taking a good quality supplement (USANA) has been key in my quick recovery. Getting my "mommy makeover" was the best thing I could have ever done!!!
