I have had implants since the late 80's, had two removals/re-implants, once for tumor and biopsies which would have caused slight disfigurement. I was 34B pre implant, then weight gain and implant became 36DD. Developed CFS, fibromyalgia, accelerated degenerative disease to spine resulting in 5 spine surgeries.

You look great! And you have so much natural tissue! I think you're going to be so happy. Here's to a fast recovery and feeling better!

Thanks wishiwerereal! I am very lucky that I have so much breast tissue after all the biopsies and surgeries. Back in 2002 I wanted the implants out when they were doing the surgery for the tumor and biopsies but the surgeon thought it best to put in small implants to even out the breast from the surgeries. Just so happy to finally have them out. Feel so much lighter and it's only been 4 days, can't wait to be fully healed and then back into all my water exercises for my arthritis. Hey, maybe some of the medical problems will start to get better too! That's what I am hoping for.

You look amazing! What kind of lift did you have? Your PS does amazing work! Also that surgical bra lools super comfy! Do you know what brand it is? Congrats on finally being free! I'm scheduled to have my water bags out this Friday! I'm so excited!

I think the lift was a lollipop lift, he cut around the nipple and there is also an incision that went straight down from the bottom center. There is minimal pain, a lot of itching which I assume means the incision is healing. The bra is a Marena, they are a bit expensive but very comfortable. The first one is provided as part of the surgery price. You can purchase through the internet, although the price seems to be slightly less if purchased through the surgeons office. I wish you great success with your upcoming surgery and hope you feel much better. Keep us posted!

I think you will be so relieved and happy to have them removed, at least based on what I have experienced, that is the case! Each day I feel better and stronger and healthier. I am also doing Suja juice cleansing, to help rid my body of any toxins, medications, and anesthesia. I love the Fuji and Green Supreme, they have helped in making me feel alive again instead of feeling poisoned. I don't regret for one second getting the implants out, just wish I had done it sooner. I will keep you in my thoughts and hope your procedure goes well and everything turns out well. The Marena bra is so comfortable, most of the time you won't even notice you have it on. Keep us posted!

One Week Post Explant

It is one week today since having my silicone implants removed and also a lift. I feel so good and don't regret for one second having them removed. Each day I feel stronger, healthier and happier! I have also been drinking juices from Suja and I think they are helping to rid my body of toxins as I don't have that poisoned feeling anymore.

hi there, i am in San Diego and am contemplating explantation, do you have any recommendations on the process, as far as doctors, emotionally preparing etc? I had them done july 2008, and i just want my small boobs back, especially after nursing 2 babies. im scared of what they will look like! is it worth it to get a skin removal too? I have heard that the skin can 'die'.....

hi, I am not sure i can help with any recommendations. I went with my same surgeon who did surgery in 2002 for some breast biopsies (also had a non-cancerous tumor). As far as emotionally preparing, I have felt like I was poisoned for so long, I was anxious to get these out and see how I felt. I could not have anticipated how good I am feeling. Wish I had done it sooner and maybe saved myself some surgeries. I am in my late 50's so a lift was recommended, but if you are younger, your breast may very well plump back up after implant removal and you may not need a lift. The best advice would be to find a very good PS and see what they recommend. There is also alot of very good information here on this site.
