I Would Not Recommend Dr. Mobley to Anyone.

I had primary rhinoplasty with Dr. Mobley on January 25th, 2017. I had broken my nose as a small child and my septum was very crooked. I also had a very bulbous tip that I wanted to have shrunken down and reshaped as well. I rushed into the surgery rather quickly, and that is my own fault; I wish I would have consulted with other doctors in the area before making a final decision. After surgery, I was not in any pain and I felt optimistic about the results. He told me I only needed to take a week off of work, however, this was not the case. I should have taken a week and a half off because I ended up having to go back to work with stitches in my nose. After he took the stitches out, I was left with a small scar on the outside of my right nostril that is easily seen. I did not realize just how easy it was to bump my nose during recovery and unfortunately, I bent my nose very hard and it moved my septum out of place. the stints were still inside my nose as this happened about two weeks after the surgery. He offered to do a revision rhinoplasty, but at an additional cost. I waited about a year and half and decided to consult with doctors in Beverly hills for a revision rhinoplasty. I had my second surgery on September 24 of 2018 and while it is too soon to tell, I feel this surgery went much better than the last. Dr. Litner and Dr. Solieman at Beverly Hills Profiles told me that my tip cartilage had no support and that it was simply draped over the septum, which makes it prone to twisting later down the road. They also told me that the bottom part of my septum had been completely taken out, not that it was out of place, it was gone.
From the initial consultation to the last appointment I had with Dr. Mobley, there just was not very good communication. This was my first experience with cosmetic surgery and I did not realize certain aspects that he found to be common sense. He was very egotistical, telling me upfront that for arguments sake, he felt he was the best rhinoplasty surgeon in Utah. His compete lack of humility says a lot about his character. He also encouraged me not to try and see if my medical insurance would cover it because it tends to take about a month to get a response from medical insurance companies. While this is true, I have since learned that my insurance would have covered approximately $5,000 worth of the cost; I paid $8,300 out of pocket for this procedure. I would not recommend him to anyone.
