Live with additional swelling and still some depression

On June 26, 2013 Dr. Michael Schenden performed Rhinoplasty surgery, liposuction of the arms, and fat graphing on my lips and cheeks. This surgery was performed at the Columbia Center, which is on the same level as his office. The complications began as soon as I was conscious from surgery. I was in a very bad state and my husband literally thought I was run over by car, and felt helpless. The post surgery care was very poor, as the nurse just wanted to get rid of us but my husband and I insisted to see the doctor. I was extremely nauseous and in severe pain. Dr. Schenden came in and then called the anesthesiologist, apparently she had not emptied my stomach from blood during surgery. While conscious and in great suffering with a cast on my nose, she placed a tube down my throat and nose and started removing the blood. I literally thought I was dying. I have never suffered so much as I did under the care of this facility. A week later I went back for my post op to have the cast on my nose removed. As soon as he removed the cast, he said “looks like a pimple ruptured under your cast” he oversimplified it and said this should heal soon. He put a bandaid on it and said keep it covered. For a couple of months I went back and forth and he kept saying give it time and it will heal while I still had a band aid on the front of my nose and the depressed scar was not improving. As far as the fat graphing on my face, he said it did not pick up. I don’t even know if he actually did it. After about three months he injected the depressed scar on my nose with fillers, but no improvement. I went back for two additional injections and still no improvement. Then after six months he said it needs another surgery to correct the scar. He wanted to take fat from behind my ears and place it on the depressed scar. That’s when I decided to go see other opinions. All three other doctors I saw did not believe it was a ruptured pimple. Something happened during surgery or the cast was not placed correctly. A doctor I just recently saw said the reason I got the scar was because he thinned my skin too much and did not place the cast correctly. They all disagreed with taking fat from behind my ear and felt that would not be successful. All said no amount of fillers can fill the depressed scar. They all recommended a surgery of pulling tissue from the tip of my nose to at least fill the depression, but I would end up with a line scar and a pointed nose. And that is what I live with now with additional swelling and still some depression. I still need another surgery and laser procedures to help fill the depression, but I don’t think I could go through another surgery. I went to see Dr. Schenden just to make my nose look better and I came out with a deformed nose. To add misery to this tragedy more than $8000.00 down the drain and I look worse than I did before going to him. I continue to live in this misery and embarrassment as I see it in front of my face everyday. As far as the liposuctions on my arm, that somehow did not pick up either. I truly feel Dr. Schenden is incompetent and was not sincere with me throughout his care. I received no remorse or compensation for my suffering and loss.
