Just Don’t
In regards to my actual concerns to my nose I kept bringing up how I didn't like my droopy tip and how I wanted it more defined. He seemed irritated with the idea and said that doing the simple fix of my bridge (which was also a concern) would fix all other problems and that nothing else would need to be done. He then stated that he wasn't a wizard and he wasn't going to give me a Michael Jackson nose because he didn't want his clients walking around with bad noses. This somehow made me feel better?
So because they could get me in a week later I actually booked the surgery. Now on the day of surgery, he came in beforehand stating that his first two surgeries were "a mexican" and "a black" and how they both had thick skin and that he was happy to see that I had "nice normal skin", meaning that my surgery was going to be easy.... (I am also Latino so this made me a little nervous)
A side note I would like to add is that Toledo charges an OUT PATIENT FEE when his surgery takes place in what looks like and feels like a staff kitchen in the back of his office. I was told to strip in front of a room of nurses and walk through the cold room shirtless to the table. It was a very uncomfortable and weird experience to say the least. Being a young, socially anxious man, and with already almost $9k down the drain, I thought "there's no turning back now."
Upon waking from surgery and arriving home I noticed that there was cuts around the outside of my nostrils and my cast was crooked. I had come to find out that he had done a nostril reduction without telling me, all the while knowing that is NOT what I wanted. When I returned to his office a week later he very forcefully removed the split and when I made a face of discomfort his response was "I do this to little girls all the time, you're fine." My mother, who picked me up from surgery, said she was also given a rude response from him when she had a brief encounter right after surgery. She asked him how it went and he rudely replied "I did everything he wanted."
Overall, I would not recommend Toledo to anyone for any kind of surgery. His bedside manner is non existent for someone who prides themself in cosmetic surgery.
At three months post op When mentioning the droopiness of my nose and how when i smile it bows down he said " well I cant control your nose when you smile. maybe you should get botox so you never smile." Currently, I am a year post op and my nose has the resemblance of a seagulls beak and leans to the left with unsymmetrical nostrils. I saw him recently and he just gave a defeated "it's functionally perfect" and shrugged his shoulders. When that was even false because I cannot properly breathe out of my right nostril due to the misshaping. He couldn't even look at me because I believe he knew he messed up. So now I am extra cautious looking for a real surgeon to preform a revision.

Sorry you feel this way about your rhinoplasty result. In 35 years we have over 3,000 happy rhinoplasty patients but we can’t please everyone. Given permission I can post photos and let others decide if your nose was actually “botched”. You had a good result but not what you expected. There is a limitation to “thinning out” thick skin, and smaller noses do not breath as well as wider noses. We should have done a more thorough screening to determine if your expectations were realistic.
